Ty McKery is a former music publisher, entrepreneur, host, media producer, and dear friend I've had the privilege of knowing since we were teens. There is something magnetic about Ty - I've felt this way since I can remember. From her physical beauty and style.. to her intelligence, humor and wit.. to (what I find most beautiful about her) her heart.. Ty has a way of commanding whatever space she is in - in front of entertainment industry peers, Clubhouse rooms, radio mics, and soon from what she teases us a bit on in this episode - a sitcom! Get to know her more, what has guided her throughout her trials and successes and what realizations she's made to love herself more. Trust me, you don't want to miss this episode!! Link in bio!
Ming Bagaforo is an Art Director by day and a small business owner slash nail fairy by night. In this episode Ming shares how growing without her father made her seek attention from men for validation; how leaning on strong, empowered women like her mother, friends and co-workers helped her realize she had all the support she needed; and how thrusting herself into her passion for nail art, kept dark thoughts away and grew into a successful business after a heartbreak.  After we recorded this episode she started her own podcast which she coshosts - @livelovefckpod - where they talk about everything under the "ratchet responsibly" umbrella. Be sure to check it out!
Tiffany is a commercial photographer based in Las Vegas, Nevada. We knew each other from Jr. High and a bit of High school. We were never close then and she always seemed like a very timid girl. After reconnecting on social media, I noticed a different woman - someone who seemed much more confident and outspoken than the shy girl I remembered. So I felt drawn to learn more about her story. In this episode we go through many different topics - from setting boundaries with a bit of dark humor to raising her nephew for a few years after her sister's passing. Also, you’ll hear a live ukulele performance from Tiffany too (ahh our very first musical performance on the podcast!) something she’s picked up and practices as a form of self-love ✨
Ariana Rae is a Peak Performance coach specializing in Flow state. She's also one of the friendliest and funniest people I know! In this episode get to know her journey towards coaching, why she bugs her clients about how much sleep they get, and why & how she turns off external chatter.
In this episode, Krystle Dizon Dehesa - wife, mother, entrepreneur and transformative life coach - opens up about her childhood trauma and how that led her to some self-destructive behavior that she has since been able to overcome. This episode may trigger those who may not have processed childhood trauma and sexual abuse. Please reach out to your local resources or seek professional help should you be triggered. Sending you all love & light.
Felicia is a pastor's daughter, wife and mom of 2, breast cancer survivor, Medical Assistant by day, and doula by night. Honestly, I thought I had a lot on my plate but this woman is a superhuman. In this episode Felicia shares with us how surgeries after cancer made her feel like she lost what it meant to be a woman, the unpacking she needed to do to understand herself more, and a whole lot more.
Yoga instructor and owner of Yoga Bliss (LA), Lara Estrada, shares her journey with self-love. From accepting her vitiligo by literally looking in the mirror, to leaving the security of the corporate world to follow her dreams, then realizing she had a lot inside her she wasn't expressing. So much beauty and strength and self-actualizations for our first episode of Our Self-Love Stories!
