Rev. Dr. Woody Woodward is a native Texan, born on Lackland Air Force Base hospital where his Dad served during the Korean War. Dr. Woody joined Crusade staff after college and served in campus ministry, then India and the Philippines, and finally in music ministry. Sensing the need for deeper training, he enrolled at Dallas Theological Seminary. Woody regards his three years at DTS as a golden period of preparation. He relished in his studies so much that he was tapped on the shoulder to assist professors in grading and teaching courses in Greek exegesis and preaching. Seminary for some becomes a cemetery, but God abundantly blessed him during this period. He never ceaseed growing in ministry. He completed his Doctor of Ministry degree in preaching at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, studying under Dr. Haddon Robinson whose approach to preaching is known for its great relevance, clarity, interest, and commitment to the Bible. Woody has served churches small (30) and large (1200), rural and suburban, from Iowa to Texas to California to New Jersey. Every church he have pastored, save one, has grown significantly. He has experienced the agony and the ecstasy of ministry and still have a fire in his bones to make local churches effective and healthy. For over a decade, he has had a special passion for teaching preachers and teachers, especially in the countries of Romania, Czech Republic, Sweden, and Finland.Learn more at FirstProtestant.com.Featuring:Rev. Sarah Stogner is a Republican Candidate running for Texas Railroad Commissioner, the state agency tasked with regulating the oil and gas industry in Texas, in a runoff primary with early voting set for May 16 - 20, and election day is May 24, 2022. Her bio is as follows: "For the past 13 years, Sarah has helped energy-related businesses understand, mitigate, allocate, and manage risk. She is now bringing that experience to help others learn from past experiences and avoid the same mistakes. She's licensed to practice in Louisiana, Texas, and Colorado (pending in Mississippi). And yes - one of her favorite things to do is banter about indemnity provisions and new insurance provision wording. But the world is changing. And the legal industry is slow to adapt. Sarah is actively working with other oil and gas industry leaders to develop smart contracts and utilize blockchain technology to avoid legal issues. We now have data that can prevent accidents. It was nearly impossible to know what happened downhole 60 years ago. That is rapidly changing and she is helping clients develop new ways of contracting and insuring risks by integrating data into legal decisions. She is also helping clients in the cannabis industry. Cannabis, like oil and gas, is a commodity. Federal decriminalization is inevitable, and it will open the industry up for quick and rapid expansion. Cannabis will be grown in the most efficient means possible - no longer restricted by state boundaries and laws. Oil and gas contracts can be modified to allocate risk for cannabis just like we currently do for the energy sector. It's exciting and she's looking forward to making a lasting impact as these legal issues develop." James McNeely is a triathlete, adventure-seeker, and successful businessperson, with over 30 years of experience in the fast-paced, ed-tech industry.  Some of the companies that he’s worked for are well known success stories, like Apple Computer, Toshiba, and Pearson - the world’s largest education company.   In his work roles, he’s served in both sales and sales management, acquiring decades of experience with both customers and sales employees.  McNeely admits, however, to having the most “fun” as a customer-facing salesperson, while working for small, cutting edge startups, endeavoring to bring new technology to students and ground-breaking teaching tools to educators.   In his book, “The 7 Meditations of a Happy Salesman”, he chronicles his quest to uncover truth in the strange, but rewarding, life of the frontline customer worker. He offers new thinking for the 21st Century businessperson, while also exposing mindless “groupthink” and business mantras for what they really are.  On the personal side, McNeely and his wife of 35 years have two grown children and two grandchildren.  When he’s not working with customers or chasing after grandkids, he’s training for bike races, open water swims (like Alcatraz), or triathlons.Learn more at The7Center.com and TexasEmergingLeaders.comBuy the book here: https://www.amazon.com/Meditations-Happy-Salesman-Corporate-Rejection/dp/1089718349Featuring:James McNeely, Author of The 7 Meditations of a Happy SalesmanSean Christian, Podcast OfficerChris Sanger, Chief Creative OfficerTo join our team.  Go here!Disclaimer: The comments herein are considered to be the personal comments of the speakers and not to be mistaken for advice in any way. Ashley Mills co-owns and operates Right Angle Inspection and Pest Services with her husband, Danny Mills. Prior to owning these two companies, she was a full-time Dental Hygienist for 14 years. Why did she make the switch to managing and owning her own business? Ashley says, "Four reasons: I was ready for a change after 11-12 years of dental hygiene, I am fascinated and love the real estate industry and looking at the homes on the market, I like interacting with people, and then COVID hit.  My husband started the home inspection business himself and he just got very busy and needed more help. We slowly transitioned me from full-time hygiene to full time scheduling and marketing of Right Angle Inspection."Learn more at Right Angle Inspections & Pest Control and TexasEmergingLeaders.comFeaturing:Ashley Mills, Co-Ownner at Right Angle Inspections & Pest ControlSean Christian, Podcast OfficerChris Sanger, Chief Creative OfficerTo join our team.  Go here!Disclaimer: The comments herein are considered to be the personal comments of the speakers and not to be mistaken for advice in any way.
