This episode is a good one! We teamed up with a registerd Psychologist who looked into her own research around screens and the effects it has on young children. She is also a mum of two young babies and has been exploring screens in her own household and how they have navigated this season where we live and rely so heavily on technology (something our parents aren't familiar with). Tune in now to hear more!
We are so excited for this episode because we got to sit down with a real expert, Catherine, and talk about partner relationships when babies come along. We absolutely loved everything about this episode and know you will too! Enjoy the episode and check out her book, Happy With Baby.
Sometimes recalling back on a situation doesn’t give the full affect of how it actually was, which is why I decided to record snip bits of our move to the US and make a little diary of how everything was going in the moment. Come along with us as we go through the prep of moving, selling and packing, being in the airport, in the airplane and our arrival. Hope you enjoy this sneak peak into the most chaotic 2 weeks of my life! Enjoy
We have been absent for a couple months and in this episode we explain why…..along with some very exciting news!
Okay, I've shared this before but I found more challenges with parenting a second child compared to my first, and it got easier yes but it felt like a really long time before I got to that space. Right now, my babygirl is 1 and a few months and its only started to get easier with bedtime routines on my own, caring for 2 on my own and not needing two parents to assist with everything. Thats a long time, and for some families it can take even longer. I dive deeper into my feelings towards being a mum of two right now as my kids are a little older to the last time I recorded. This is part 2 of that series and you also get to hear from a special guest during the recording!
There is so much info around screentime and with both of our households going through different scenarios, we thought it best to share with it others! You might not be experiencing this but if you are - WE ARE RIGHT THERE WITH YOU!
Having one child is hard, having two adds a different dynamic. We experience new things we didnt with our first, we talk about the challenges we find with mothering 2 kids compared to 1 and whats worked for us along the way. Tune it to hear more!
Gonzalez family are moving to America! In this episode we go into how this is going, why and when! They have been in Australia over 7 years so it is a big move with two kiddies!

Both times Lina has had pregnancies with HG. And it went from worse, to even worser (if that is even a word!) Hear her experiences and how she dealt with it, learnt from it and what actions she recommends putting in place if you're listening and going through the same thing. Disclaimer: She is not a qualified professional and it is recommended to see your GP or someone in that field to get further information around your situation.
The hardest episode I have recorded and I know this doesn’t magically make things better, but I also know that there is power in recognising you aren’t alone when you hear other’s stories. If you are going through or have been through miscarriage, you aren’t alone. And if you haven’t been, the statistics show that you more than likely have someone close to you who has. If you are struggling there are recourse and organisations out there to help you through this insanely hard time. Time doesn’t change things, but time does bring healing. Sending love to all of you out there that have miscarriage in your story.
We have said far too many times “This will be a seperate episode” and then never recorded anything. We are sorry, we WILL. We are taking two weeks off so be sure to follow us on Instagram @myloxximamas and learn some fun stats and behind the scenes! See you in two weeks
Join Lina and Shantel as we share the highs, lows, difficulties and everything in between. We talk about what we fear , what we have learned, and all the things we are still struggling with.
Join Shantel as she interviews special guest Sharaya Green on her pregnancy journey in the US versus Shantel’s pregnancy in Australia.
This episode we thought it would be fun to dive into the brains of a male and husband, in a household where the wife (Lina) handles the finances. We wanted to get an understanding of how the other half of a relationship handles inflation when they don't necessarily handle the finances of the house. Our hopes in recording this is offering another perspective on inflation!
This episode Lina dives into the difference between parenting now and the changes she's seen from newborn stage with her second, to now having a 4year old and a 9 month old. Things have changed and she explains it all!
Being married is already a mission in itself and so adding children to the mix can add quite a force if you aren't prepared for it. This episode Carl and Lina share their experience about the times they struggled in their marriage with two little kids and what they've learnt to become a better duo (husband and wife). While we are very aware that our experience may be completely different to yours, we hope that by sharing some of it, it'll help listeners who might be experiencing the something similar!
Shantel explores the financial topics with a special guest and financial guru, Carlee. She shares about how she ventured into this industry and the tips shes found that'll hopefully help many households across the world. Carlee will be back with some more tips so stay tuned for a little mini series and be sure to follow Carlee and Sweet Hope Coaching https://instagram.com/sweethop...
This episode is such a goodie. Lina takes us into a beautiful conversation with her best friend who is single with no children. They discuss questions around how to navigate the friendship when the dynamic has completely shifted on one end, what they've learnt, what they see that is common and what they believe could help sustain and nurture a friendship in this new environment. We believe you'll learn alot from this conversation and we hope you're able to take away something for yourself if you're a mum friend or a mum to be.
