Description
The Patriarchy Podcast is a call to men-embrace your God-given masculinity for the glory of Christ and the good of His Kingdom We equip men to own their God-given masculinity and take responsibility in every sphere—fatherhood, citizenship, marriage, church leadership, and beyond. Through bold discussions, practical wisdom, and deep theology, we challenge men to reject the lies of feminism and effeminacy and stand firm as faithful men.
Unapologetically patriarchal. We wield humor like a battle-axe, drop hard truth like a hammer, and give real-world wisdom you can actually use. We train men to be warriors, builders, and protectors—men who fight, lead, and refuse to quit. We speak plainly. We do not compromise. We do not back down. If that offends someone, well…good.
This is a call to arms. Build. Fight. Protect. Lead.
For Christ, for His Kingdom, for our posterity.

Would You Have Welcomed Jesus… or Killed Him?
Men Who Entertain Angels – Part 3
What you do with Jesus reveals everything about you.
Most men think hospitality is about clean homes, good meals, and polite conversation. Scripture says its more. Hospitality is a dividing line. It exposes your heart. It reveals whether you belong to Christ… or stand against Him.
In this episode, Pastor Joseph Spurgeon walks through the life of Jesus to show the full weight of biblical hospitality. Not soft. Not sentimental. Real hospitality welcomes, provides, protects, and operates under God’s authority. And it always forces a decision.
Jesus received hospitality. Jesus gave hospitality. And Jesus commands it.
Some welcomed Him. Some used Him. Some tried to kill Him.
That same line still stands today.
So the question is simple—and unavoidable:
Would you have welcomed Jesus… or killed Him?

AI, the End of the World, and the Future of Christian Men
Artificial Intelligence: The New Tower of Babel or Just a Tool?
What happens when machines start doing everything better than men?
Jobs disappear. Creativity shifts. Even sermons can be generated in seconds. Some are calling AI the new Tower of Babel. Others say it’s just another tool like the internet or the printing press.
So what should Christian men actually think?
In this episode, Pastor Joseph Spurgeon sits down with software engineer Josh Dawes to cut through the hype, the fear, and the propaganda surrounding artificial intelligence. They tackle the real dangers, the false alarms, and how men can use this technology without being ruled by it.
This is about dominion, responsibility, and refusing to become passive in a machine-driven world.

Key Takeaways
AI is not magic. It’s advanced pattern recognition, not a soul.
The real danger is not machines becoming human, but men becoming passive.
Used wrongly, AI will weaken you. Used rightly, it can sharpen you.
Creativity is not dead, but it is changing fast.
Pastors and leaders must never outsource the work God called them to do.
This is a dominion issue. Men either rule tools or get ruled by them.

You Are Commanded to Be Hospitable
Men Who Entertain Angels Part 2
Episode Summary
Hospitality is not optional. It is commanded.
In Part 2 of Men Who Entertain Angels, Pastor Joseph Spurgeon moves from definition to duty. This episode walks through the Ten Commandments, the case laws of the Old Testament, and the witness of Scripture to show that hospitality is not softness. It is strength under authority.
Biblical hospitality is not lawless kindness. It is ordered love. It welcomes, provides, and protects under the rule of God. It does not celebrate sin. It does not surrender truth. And it does not abandon responsibility.
This episode exposes the modern counterfeit. A version of hospitality that tolerates evil, rejects authority, and calls compromise compassion. That is not biblical. That is rebellion dressed up as virtue.
Instead, men are called to lead. To open their homes with discernment. To protect what is under their roof. To provide for those in need. To uphold truth while extending mercy.
Hospitality flows from obedience. It requires backbone. It requires clarity. It requires men.
If you want to understand how God commands hospitality and how to actually practice it, this episode lays it out.

What does real hospitality look like? In this episode, Pastor Joseph Spurgeon opens Genesis 18 and shows that hospitality is not a soft, optional extra. It is a masculine Christian duty rooted in the very character of God. Abraham welcomed strangers under the oaks of Mamre, and in doing so became a model for faithful men everywhere.
This first installment lays the groundwork. Joseph defines biblical hospitality as love for the stranger expressed through welcome, provision, and protection under rightful authority. He traces that theme from Eden to Christ, showing that hospitality begins with God Himself. He also argues that this duty is woven into creation, written on the heart, and required of Christian men, families and churches.
This is a call to recover real Christian hospitality in a world of performance, pride, and counterfeit virtue.

Many men are angry.
Angry about politics.Angry about feminism.Angry about the corruption in the church.Angry about the state of the nation.
But anger without direction becomes distraction.
In this episode, Pastor Joseph Spurgeon sits down with Army Chaplain BJ Newman to talk about focus, priorities, and building where you actually have influence.
This is a re-release of a previous episode. The video may show Joseph about forty pounds heavier, but the truth here has only grown sharper with time.
Men are losing because they are fighting the wrong battles.
Instead of endless online debates and outrage cycles, we must return to first principles:
Family first.Local focus.Build institutions, not platforms.Fight the battles in front of you.
If you want to stop drifting and start building, this conversation will help you re-center your mission.

Don’t Fall for It
Why Christians Keep Getting Played
Christians are supposed to be people of truth. Instead, too many are people of reaction.
In this episode, Pastor Joseph Spurgeon is joined by Pastor Michael Clary to expose a growing problem inside the Church: emotional manipulation masquerading as compassion. All it takes is a viral headline, a crying mother, or a carefully framed news story, and discernment goes out the window. Feelings replace facts. Sentiment replaces Scripture. And gullibility gets baptized as “love.”
But biblical love is not blind. It is not naive. And it is not manipulated.
Drawing from Romans 12 and Philippians 1, this conversation cuts straight to the heart of weaponized empathy, propaganda, weak pulpits, cowardly leadership, and the cultural chaos that results when Christians stop testing the spirits.
If you care about leading your family well, thinking clearly in a propaganda age, and refusing to be played by emotional narratives, this one is for you.
Chapter Breakdown
00:00 – If You Want to Control Christians, Just Tell a Sad Story01:10 – Romans 12: Renewing the Mind in an Age of Manipulation02:40 – Michael Clary’s Background: From Crew to Church Planting11:00 – The “Normie Whisperer” and Introducing Hard Truths14:00 – Winsomeness, Courage, and Paying the Price for Clarity19:00 – Church Conflict, Elder Division, and Blessed Subtraction23:30 – Why Christians Keep Falling for Emotional Narratives26:40 – Weaponized Empathy and News Cycle Manipulation29:00 – Love Without Discernment Is Not Love32:30 – Head, Heart, and Hands: Building Whole Men35:00 – Propaganda, Framing, and the Battle for the Dictionary41:30 – Fear of Man or Fear of Woman?45:30 – Feminine Empathy, Misplaced Compassion, and Cultural Chaos47:30 – Training Men in Discernment in a Propaganda Age
Key Takeaways
Emotions are not evidence of truth.• Love without knowledge and discernment becomes dangerous.• Propaganda rarely lies outright. It frames truth to control your reaction.• Weak pulpits create weak men.• Pastors must not fear emotional backlash more than they fear God.• Men must discipline their feelings instead of being ruled by them.
Biblical love is strong. It is clear-eyed. It refuses to enable evil in the name of kindness.

Good Marriages Require Good Fights
11 Rules for Fighting Without Losing Your Temper, Your Leadership, or Your Wife
Episode Summary
Most marriages do not fall apart because of conflict. They fall apart because men do not know how to handle it.
In this episode, Pastor Joseph Spurgeon lays out a hard but hopeful truth. Conflict in marriage is inevitable. Chaos is not. God has given clear rules for fighting that protect authority, preserve peace, and strengthen unity when a husband leads instead of checks out or explodes.
This is not marriage therapy. This is biblical leadership. You will learn why passivity poisons marriages, why egalitarian fighting never resolves anything, and how patriarchy done God’s way makes real peace possible. If your home feels like a constant battlefield or a cold ceasefire, this episode gives you a way forward.

Shepherds Not Hirelings
Why You Need Pastoral Care
Episode Summary
Too many men today confuse content with care. They follow pastors online, defend them in comment sections, and quote them from podcasts but when their marriage is bleeding, their son is drifting, or sin tightens its grip, those men are nowhere to be found.
In this episode of The Patriarchy Podcast, Pastor Joseph Spurgeon sits down with Aaron Prelock, pastor of Bloomington Bible Church and newly elected president of New Geneva Academy, to expose the lie of influencer Christianity and recover the biblical vision of real shepherds.
We talk about what pastoral care actually is, why the modern church has traded shepherds for platforms, how this damages men and families, and why your soul depends on being known, corrected, and loved by faithful elders.
This is a call to stop drifting. Stop just consuming. Christ did not redeem you to be untethered. He bought a people and gave them shepherds, not hirelings.

The Patriarchy Podcast | Pastor Joseph Spurgeon
In this episode, Pastor Joseph Spurgeon sits down with James Baird, pastor and author of King of Kings, to dismantle the modern lie that the state can or should be religiously neutral. From towering pagan idols on American soil to the plain teaching of Psalm 2, this conversation exposes the reality every nation tries to avoid: every law serves a god, and every ruler will answer to Christ.
We discuss Christian nationalism, answer objections from R2K theology, libertarianism, and theonomy, and return to historic Protestant political theology rooted in Scripture, the Westminster Standards, and the American founding. This is not about replacing the Church with the State. It is about rulers doing their God-given duty.
Christ is King. Over hearts, but also over nations.

Main Character Syndrome Can Get You Killed
Subtitle: LARPING for Meaning
Episode Summary
Our culture is obsessed with being the hero. Everyone is told their life must be epic, visible, and historically significant. That lie is getting people killed.
In this episode, Pastor Joseph Spurgeon dismantles “main character syndrome” and exposes how political activism, social media clout, and even distorted Christian teaching train people to abandon ordinary faithfulness for performative heroics. Using a recent fatal confrontation with ICE as a sobering case study, Joseph shows how LARPing moral drama replaces obedience, wisdom, and station.
The heart of the episode centers on Barzillai from 2 Samuel 19. An old man. A wealthy man. A faithful man. Barzillai serves King David quietly, refuses reward, invests in the next generation, and disappears from the story without applause. Scripture honors him anyway.
This episode is a call to reject theatrical Christianity, resist the craving for significance, and embrace the radical obedience of ordinary life. Faithfulness is not failure. Obscurity is not defeat. Jesus Christ is the main character. You are not.

Principles for Obedience Training: Raising Children for Joy, Order, and Dominion
Episode Summary
In this solo episode, Pastor Joseph Spurgeon lays down a biblical and unapologetically patriarchal framework for obedience training in the home. Drawing from Scripture and pastoral experience as a father of eight, this episode confronts modern parenting myths and reclaims God’s design for authority, discipline, and joy in the family.
This is not about control for control’s sake. It is about training children to live under God-given authority for their good, their safety, and their future faithfulness. Pastor Joseph explains why obedience is foundational to parenting, how authority is meant to serve, and what God actually requires when He commands children to obey their parents.
You will hear a clear standard for obedience, a theological defense of parental authority, and practical principles that expose why many parents unintentionally train disobedience instead of obedience. This episode is essential listening for fathers who want order in their homes, peace in their families, and children prepared to honor Christ in every sphere of life.
If you are tired of barking commands, negotiating with toddlers, or watching chaos rule your home, this episode is for you.

Why Your Kids Don’t Listen—and What to Do About It
Trust: The Forgotten Weapon of Fatherhood
In this episode of The Patriarchy Podcast, Pastor Joseph Spurgeon sits down with elder, father, and foster dad Aaron Sabie to talk about one of the most overlooked pillars of fatherhood: trust.
Why don’t your kids listen? It’s not because you’re not loud enough. It’s because they don’t trust you. We dive deep into what causes that breakdown, how to fix it, and why real leadership starts long before you open your mouth.
Aaron shares powerful stories from his time as a foster father—raising broken children and watching them transform through consistent, fatherly care. You’ll also hear about:
Why most dads lose their kids’ hearts
What a trustworthy father actually looks like
The role of discipline, conscience, and consistency
Why trust isn’t earned through volume, but through mission and follow-through

You Can Save the West by Having a Family
The Patriarchy Podcast | Pastor Joseph Spurgeon
In this episode, Joseph Spurgeon dismantles the foolish idea that “you can’t save the West by having a family.” He walks through the biblical, historical, and cultural reality that civilizations live or die on the strength of the household—and why children are not a distraction from the cultural battle… they are the battle.
Joseph responds to a popular post-liberal article claiming young men should avoid marriage and kids in order to “fight the culture war.” In typical Patriarchy fashion, he exposes the lie, opens Scripture, and makes the case that families—not frustrated bachelors—are what actually build nations and save civilizations.
Be fruitful. Multiply. Take dominion. This is how you fight.
Episode Description
Civilizations don’t collapse because men have too many kids—they collapse because men stop having them. In this episode, Pastor Joseph Spurgeon dismantles the idea that young men should avoid marriage and children for the sake of “saving the West.” He exposes the shallow logic of post-liberal elitism, shows why children are weapons in the cultural battle, and walks through Scripture and history to demonstrate one central truth:
Nations are built, defended, and renewed by fathers, mothers, and their children—not isolated activists.
If you want to strengthen the church, rebuild culture, and see Christ’s Kingdom advance, then pick up a hammer, marry a wife, raise godly children, and take dominion. This is how men fight.
Be strong in body, mind, and heart—for the glory of the Lord, the love of neighbor, and the blessing of your posterity.

Nick Fuentes, NETTR, and the Battle for Young Men’s Hearts
In this episode, Pastor Joseph Spurgeon sits down with returning guest Jon Harris (host of the Conversations That Matter podcast) to unpack one of the most contentious debates raging in right-wing and Christian political spaces: the rise of Nick Fuentes, the resurgence of the “No Enemies to the Right” (NETTR / Neottr) philosophy, and what all of this means for the future of young men who are desperate for direction, leadership, and truth.
This episode isn’t for the faint of heart. It’s a field manual for discerning men in a fog-of-war cultural moment.
Topics Covered:
✅ NETTR vs. NEOTTR – What do these terms mean, who coined them, and how should faithful Christian men think about coalition-building on the right?
✅ Nick Fuentes & the Groypers – Jon Harris gives a hard critique of Fuentes, his methods, character, and why he fails the biblical test of leadership, even if he claims to fight “the left.”
✅ The Danger of Compromised Alliances – How co-belligerency works in Scripture (Abraham, David, Daniel, Nehemiah) versus when you’re just riding shotgun in a car driven by fools.
✅ David & Joab – A biblical case study in working with dangerous allies while maintaining godly clarity and never surrendering your integrity.
✅ Pastoral Wisdom for the Young & Angry – Why many of these “dissident right” figures appeal to lost young men—and why the Church must offer more than finger-wagging or limp-wristed “niceness.”
✅ Don’t Fall for the Revenge-of-the-Dork Trap – Jon and Joseph explain how ragebait influencers hijack real masculine instincts and direct them toward perversion, cowardice, and idolatry.
Key Takeaways:
Not every co-belligerent is a brother. You can fight in the same trench without handing over the megaphone—or your soul.
Bad company corrupts good morals (1 Cor. 15:33). Even if someone punches left, that doesn’t make him a leader worth following.
True masculinity is principled, not primal. Biblical manhood doesn’t settle for vulgarity, victimhood, or cowardice dressed up as strength.

Are You Ready for the 10 Tests That Make or Break a Man? (Part 1)
Every man wants the crown. Few can survive the cave.

The Patriarchy Podcast | The End Is Near? How Rapture Theology Cripples Men — with Rusty Thomas
Is the kingdom of God still in the future? Or are we already living in it—and failing to act like it?
In this end times episode, Pastor Joseph Spurgeon is joined by Rusty Thomas, longtime street preacher, pro-life warrior, and former national director of Operation Save America. Together they dismantle the bad eschatology that’s neutered the modern church and sidelined Christian men from their duty to build, fight, protect, and lead.
We’re not waiting for the kingdom—it’s already here. So why are so many pastors acting like scared passengers on a sinking ship?
If you’re tired of soft Christianity, fearful men, and sermons that sound more like escape plans than battle orders… this one’s for you.
Topics Covered:
✅ Why rapture theology breeds passivity, not courage✅ How Rusty’s eschatology transformed his mission✅ What it means to fight like a man in a feminized church culture✅ Why dispensationalism leads to defeatism✅ The forgotten doctrine of interposition✅ Stories from the frontlines: arrest, favor, and fruit✅ The Kingdom has come—here’s what it means for your life today

The Patriarchy Podcast | Islam in Middle America: Why the Church Must Wake Up & Fight
Islam is no longer just a distant religion in faraway lands—it’s here. In Jeffersonville, Indiana. In your town. In your children’s schools. And in this episode, Pastor Joseph Spurgeon tackles the growing Islamic presence in the heart of middle America, exposing it as the aggressive cult it truly is.
Pastor Spurgeon shares his firsthand encounter with Muslims outside a gas station near a mosque that used to be a church. He breaks down Islam’s history, its core heresies, and the cowardice of American Christianity that’s allowed it to spread. He doesn’t flinch. He doesn’t sugarcoat. And he calls Christian men to stand firm.
This episode is about clarity, courage, and Christ. The fight is here—are you ready?
Topics Covered:
✅ Why Islam is a cult, not a “world religion”
✅ How mosques are replacing dying churches—even in middle America
✅ Why feminized Christianity leaves a vacuum Islam gladly fills
✅ What the Crusades got right (and what we can learn from them)
✅ How weak theology makes Christians vulnerable to Islamic deception
✅ Why knowing the Trinity isn’t optional—it’s warfare
✅ How to prepare your family and church to resist Islamic influence
✅ The false gospel of Muhammad and why it's antichrist
✅ What Christians MUST do now—before it’s too late
Don’t just listen—learn to stand.
This isn’t about fear. It’s about faith. Islam will not win. Christ is King.

this was absolutely life changing for me. we have such marriage problems, and I am tearing up listening to this. indescribably helpful. sharing with many friends who also have marriage problems.
The first amendment specifically states that there can be "no law respecting an established religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof..." The agenda you've described would violate the religious freedom of the rest of the country. There are a lot of people out here who have become quite frustrated with Christians' overreach and their intrusion into the lives of people who didn't invite it. I was born in '78 and raised evangelical, and I have been listening to Christians nag the rest of the country for decades. Guys - you already have the right to practice your religion. In fact, you're given special treatment by politicians on the right. There is absolutely NOTHING standing in the way of your religious practice; you're not being persecuted because there can't be prayer in public schools, you're not being persecuted by gay marriage, you're not being persecuted by watching football players kneel during the anthem. PLEASE MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS and stop claiming to be an eternal v
