Don’t do planks. Don’t do yoga. Don’t move too much or you’ll hurt yourself.” Listening to that advice only left her weaker, sicker, and more afraid of her own body.Like many people with hEDS, POTS, and MCAS, Lauren felt stuck. Providers warned her she was “too fragile” to exercise and instilled the belief that her body was broken. The result? More fatigue, more joint pain, and a sense that she would never get better. That all began to change when she discovered the Whealth Hypermobility Program. For the first time, she saw people with EDS and POTS building strength, getting stronger, and reclaiming their lives. She realized: “It may be harder for me, but that doesn’t mean it’s not possible.”Through the program, Lauren:Learned to trust her body again after years of fearReduced joint pain and improved her strength safelySaw how exercise and strength training improved her POTS symptoms, fatigue, and overall energyBuilt a mindset that focused on possibility, not limitationFound a supportive community that encouraged her progress instead of telling her to stopThis episode is about more than just surviving POTS, MCAS, and hEDS — it’s about living strong, building muscle, and proving what’s possible even with chronic conditions.🎙️ In This Episode, Lauren Shares:What it’s like to grow up with undiagnosed hEDS, POTS, and MCASHow fear-based medical advice (“don’t lift, don’t exercise”) made her sickerThe turning point of joining the Whealth Hypermobility ProgramHow mindset shifts helped her build strength and trust her body againThe role of movement, sleep, gut health, and nutrition in managing chronic illnessWhy community and surrounding yourself with possibility is key to healing⏱️ Chapters00:00 Living with POTS, MCAS & hEDS: Lauren’s Story Begins01:34 Fear and Fragility: How Doctors’ Advice Made Things Worse05:00 From GI Issues to Diagnosis: The Road to hEDS10:23 Why Building Muscle with EDS Is Still Possible14:22 Mindset Shifts: Learning to Trust Her Body Again18:10 From Fear to Group Fitness: Returning to Movement Safely21:53 Recommending the Whealth Hypermobility Program27:20 Managing POTS, MCAS & hEDS Beyond Exercise32:15 Lauren’s Instagram Journey and Helping Others40:45 Fatigue vs Excuses: When to Rest and When to Move42:23 Message of Hope: “It’s Possible for You Too”🔎 If You’re Searching For:How to manage POTS, MCAS, and hEDS naturallyLiving strong with hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos SyndromeHow to build muscle with EDS, POTS, and MCASSuccess stories with the Whealth Hypermobility ProgramManaging chronic pain and fatigue with movement and mindsetHypermobility strength training program that actually works…this episode is for you.Our FREE Hypermobility guide: https://spreadwhealth.com/hypermobility-free-resources

From back surgery and chronic debilitating pain… to running, lifting, and moving freely again, I have my life back.5 years ago, I herniated two discs doing clean + jerk. I couldn’t walk for weeks due to pain. I became obsessed with recovery and healed fairly quickly, but relapsed with worse pain a few years later after a chiropractic adjustment sent electric pain shooting down my leg and completely debilitated me.For years, I spiraled with pain, anger, fear, depression, drinking, and debt. I dropped out of university and spent two years living in fear, blaming others, and feeling stuck in the past. Out of desperation, I got a microdiscectomy. I expected everything to change. It didn’t.A year post-surgery, still unable to run, lift, or feel normal, I joined the Whealth Limitless Programme. Having been a fan of “shirtless dude” on Instagram, I loved his meticulous approach, recognizing that you do have control despite chronic pain when everything tells you that you don’t.The daily structure of the Limitless workouts helped me chip away at sciatica, back, hip, and full body pain pain, rebuild my strength, relearn how to move and lift, and ultimately get my life back. What changed everything?• Structure- a clear, step-by-step plan forward• Community- pain is isolating, but I wasn’t alone anymore• Honesty- accepting where I was became the first step to changing itMost importantly, I learned from Whealth that you have a choice in chronic pain. Now, I’m lifting again, playing sports with friends, saying YES to life… and on **8/23, I’m running my first marathon to the hospital where I had surgery—**to show people in chronic pain what’s possible.Every day isn’t easy. But living pain-free is no longer the goal. Austin was just 18 when doctors told him he’d never lift over 50 pounds again. Doctors told him surgery was inevitable.Diagnosed with two disc bulges (L5-S1 + L4-L5) and sciatica, he faced constant back pain and the looming pressure of surgery. He tried physical therapy, YouTube rehab videos, injections, and everything the traditional system had to offer but nothing worked. Then he found the Limitless Program and was pain-free in 5 weeks (program here: https://spreadwhealth.com/limitless-program)In this episode, Austin shares how he completely rewired his mindset around pain and movement. He breaks down what Limitless taught him that PT and YouTube never could - like how pain is information, why there’s no one “right” way to move, and how he stopped living in fear of his body. What started with being able to load the dishwasher pain-free turned into walking 9+ miles a day at Disney, reclaiming his lifting goals, and helping others do the same as a strength and conditioning coach.Topics covered:L5-S1 disc herniation and chronic back painHow to heal without surgeryWhy physical therapy and YouTube rehab failedThe mindset shift that changed everythingHow Limitless gave Austin his life backFear of movement vs. confidence through guidanceHow pain is just information — not a life sentenceIf you're searching for:-How to fix an L5-S1 disc bulge naturally-Healing sciatica without surgery-Back pain rehab that actually works-Why physical therapy didn’t work for me-How to stop fearing pain and start healing-Functional rehab for athletes-Real stories from people who avoided spine surgery…this episode is for you.Our Free Low back relief series: https://www.spreadwhealth.com/free-low-back-programOur FREE Hypermobility guide: https://spreadwhealth.com/hypermobility-free-resourcesChapters00:00 Doctors Said I’d Need Surgery01:42 What the MRI Showed: L5-S1 Disc Bulge03:05 “Surgery, surgery, surgery”05:53 Walking Out on Traditional Healthcare07:50 “I Might Never Back Squat Again”09:15 Depression, Isolation, and Daily Struggles12:00 Finding the Limitless Program13:40 First Big Win: Loading the Dishwasher Without Pain15:43 Pain Sucks Physically — But Destroys You Mentally17:57 “Everything I Have I Attribute to Limitless”24:45 I Couldn’t Even Drive or Go to the Store44:11 I Don’t Fear Pain Anymore — I Fix It1:05:11 Disney Trip I Thought I’d Miss — I Walked 9 Miles a Day
After suffering an L1 compression fracture and two disc herniations (L3-L4 & L5-S1) with nerve root impingement, Whitney, a 36-year-old firefighter and mother of three, found herself unable to lift her toddler, sneeze without collapsing, or perform basic duties on the job. She was taken off work placed on light duty, something every firefighter dreads.Whitney tried everything: three ER visits, multiple specialists, injections, chiropractors, red light therapy, acupuncture, DNS, and more. Despite all her efforts, she was told she might need epidurals, medical-grade cement injections, or even surgery... yet she still wasn’t getting answers or real solutions.Frustrated and at a breaking point, she found the Whealth Limitless Program:👉 https://spreadwhealth.com/limitless-programIn less than two months, Whitney became 95% pain free. She was lifting again, doing CrossFit, and fully cleared for active duty - back on the job she loves. In fact, she returned to full-duty firefighting within just one month of starting the program. Even her coworkers couldn’t believe how fast she recovered. What changed everything was the mindset shift and full-body approach that Limitless instilled in her. Instead of chasing quick fixes, the program helped her slow down and rebuild her body from the ground up - not just her back, but her ribs, pelvis, core, breath, feet, and mental resilience. Now, Whitney is not only back on her feet... she’s stronger than ever. And she’s become an advocate for other firefighters and first responders to take their health into their own hands, too. This episode covers:✔ Her injury and frustrating experience with the traditional medical system✔ The mindset and accountability that changed everything✔ Why the Whealth Limitless Program worked when nothing else did✔ Her message to others living with pain or looking for hopeWhether you’re battling chronic pain or just feeling stuck, Whitney’s story will light a fire under you. 🔥Chapters00:00 Injury Breakdown & Life Impact03:00 “I couldn’t pick up my toddler”06:30 Resistance, Doubt & the Turning Point11:00 Why Whealth Worked When Nothing Else Did25:00 Sneezing Without Pain Again33:00 How She’s Helping Other Firefighters45:00 Mindset, Accountability, and HealingOur Free Low back relief series: https://www.spreadwhealth.com/free-low-back-programOur FREE Hypermobility guide: https://spreadwhealth.com/hypermobility-free-resources

Chronic pain changed the physical structure of my brain – I was diagnosed with medically-induced c-PTSD.The pain was so constant that I broke my spine in three places and DIDN’T NOTICE. Doctors found it by accident after it already healed. hEDS and this pain made me think:Doctors told me: "You’ll never have kids, never get married. You’re too much of a burden. You’ll suffer your whole life."Doctors didn’t say much different than these thoughts. They offered narcotics. Injections. Surgeries. Treating symptoms, not the source. Then I noticed this strength-training program called Whealth on my timeline.Week after week, I saw free educational content on IG – and I started to wonder.Doctors commanded me not to work out, but this program claimed to be created by hypermobile people – people like me – specifically FOR us, and I had to know if it was real. So I took the plunge. I could always get a refund, right?Three 30-minute home workouts a week later… and my life has changed more than I ever knew it could. I’m strong now. I’m proud of my body. It seems unbelievable, but I feel like I blinked and got stronger.I do the things I love just like I used to, but the difference is I don’t pay the price anymore.💃 I can swing dance with my boyfriend.✈️ I can visit Europe with my siblings.👩‍🍳 I can bake, cook, clean, and support my family.👶 I can hold my niece as she sleeps in my arms.Life doesn’t cost me anymore. Now my body loves movement for the medicine it is, and it holds up.I’m still hypermobile, but I’m not weak anymore. Everything is easier. What Was I Dealing With? These were my diagnoses and struggles before Whealth:✔ Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (hEDS)✔ Medically-induced c-PTSD from chronic pain✔ Scheuermann’s Disease✔ Schmorl’s Nodes✔ Thoracic spinal wedging (T7, T8, T9 compression fractures)✔ Severe cervical misalignment (head shifted inches forward)✔ Chronic joint instability & dislocations✔ Failed physical therapy that worsened inflammation✔ Unnecessary rib resection surgery due to misdiagnosed instabilityWhere I Thought My Life Was Headed…Between what doctors told me not to do and the overwhelming negativity in hypermobility support groups, I truly believed I was:❌ Unfixable❌ Broken❌ Going to be permanently disabled by 30…Until I Did the Whealth Hypermobility ProgramAll I ever heard in the world of chronic illness was that we were helpless. But I want you to know that’s just. Not. True.I dare you to prove the doctors wrong – you deserve a chance to live!"
