Description
This podcast is all about resilience, what it is, what that actually means, and how to get it. In this podcast I will be sharing with you some of my own journey as well as interviewing others to discover how they too have found, or are finding resilience. Like weeds, we too need to find ways to be resilient, dig deeper, bloom wherever we find ourselves, and stay "green" with the ever changing landscape we call life.

Let's start talking about community resilience, because, I think it's a thing! But what does the word community mean to you? Let me know! Also, I want to touch on the subject of laying it down...letting the stories of the past go, no longer letting them control or define us. Is the cost too high? That is only something you can answer. Join me on episode 34!
Have you ever wondered how life was like an Oreo cookie? No? Ok then, how about resilience? Still no? lol...well, join me on this episode as I compare life and resilience to an Oreo cookie! Makes me hungry just thinking about it! Happy dunking!
Surrender...what does that word invoke in you? Fear? Peace? Is it something you've experienced before? I have, but I haven't always done it right, I haven't always fully surrendered. In this episode I talk about how this word applies to resilience but also, how it relates to a similar word, submission. I explore what the differences there are or might be in those two words, coming to my own conclusions and letting you decide what your conclusions might be as well. I talk about a TikTok in this episode, one that moved me, as well as having used some definitions that I acquired from certain websites that I will include below. Join me on this journey into surrender.

Do we ever get so lost in the conundrum of "is this the good choice, the better choice, or the best choice? And then fail to start altogether? Well, while hiking in Capitol Reef National Park, I had an AHA moment, one that, to be honest, is so simple and yet, so profound. Join me on this episode as I talk about the mindful musings I had while hiking the red rocks of Utah. At the very end of this episode I quoted a writer and will add her name below if you wish to look into her and her creations further.

In this episode, Bryce shows the utmost of vulnerability as he speaks about his life, his loves, and the things that have changed him forevermore. Bryce recounts a life of heaviness...how everything he did was heavy, from his job to his attitude, and how he wore that heaviness, that aura, daily. He tells of how the last four years of his life was spent as the sole caregiver to his dying wife and how this broke him down into the smallest of pieces, not realizing that in so doing, it would also provide him with an opportunity to be built into something else entirely. Join me on episode 22 for this great conversation with Bryce Peterson. And if you liked this episode, or any other episode, please follow us wherever you listen to yours!
