I went live on my social media platform while having a meltdown to show exactly what I was feeling in the moment. The responses were a mix of more hate, judging, ridicule, and other detrimental reactions to a person living with mental illness. There was also some love received, yet sadly, the bad outweighs the good, since the only way for me to recover was to block out every reaction, whether loving or not, because the hardest part of being in the position I am in is being misunderstood by everyone, including those who knew you before you had a name.
Many of the ideas and situations that bother are only an issue because we fail to think about things differently. When we assess the why behind our emotions, we equip ourselves with the information needed to change our outlook. I'm discussing a current and past event which required me to change my mind so I could be successful in my thinking or my approach.
