In episode 11, we dive into her work in social justice with the Methodist Church, the Non-profit BFG and her 15 years as a choral director and educator in a Title 1 school. She takes us through the challenges of facing fierce resistance from parents, school administrators and community members to incorporate cultural awareness and social-emotional learning in her classroom to the point of violent threats. Steeped in the scientific arena of Veterinary Medicine, Lauren takes us through her journey into the intuitive nature of her gift for Animal Communications. From childhood, she always had a gift to connect with animals, both wild and domestic. In part 2, we unfold the catharsis and wisdom of Steve's exploration into the Sufi tradition and the nervous system. We also discuss the role of emotions and how we can use the information that emotions bring us for growth, maturation and transformation.
In our flagship episode, we introduce ourselves to you! Amy "Bear," and Dan interview each other within the context of our work and themes of the Podcast. We delve deeply into key inflection points of our own lives that helped guide us to our callings in serving others on their journey to find their own. We also speak about the common issues people experience when trying to find their callings and provide a message for sensitive people who feel misunderstood in their culture or family environments.
