In this episode Dylan Code, son of Keith Code goes into details on being a professional coach and trainer for CSS. He talks methodologies, the physics of cornering, what it takes to be a good student and a good coach and answers some other controversial topic type questions from Phil. Dylan is detailed, thoughtful with his answers and leans upon decades of experience and over 17,000 riders trained (by him) to provide context. From California Superbike School: Fact: Step-by-step advanced rider training did not exist before Keith Code began his first one-on-one courses in 1976. What happened after that? From novice street riders to factory racers, riders trained by him rapidly improved. For decades, expert riders have proclaimed riding to be 90% mental. Keith is credited with breaking the sport down into its essential components and bringing real understanding to riders in all categories. His books, videos and schools were the first to make that knowledge available to everyone. His step-by-step approach will make sense to you. Each skill builds on the last and creates a complete package of control and confidence. The School’s Levels are done in order, one through four. Each of the first three Levels presents five precise technical riding skills. Each Level can be completed in one day. You will be blown away by what you accomplish in Level I alone. How do we know this? Simple math; two out of three Level I students return for Level II within a year and bring their friends. You will improve. You are a far better rider than you’ve ever let yourself hope to be. We have a system that works. Is it the best? We don’t know, but we can and do guarantee improvement. ******************************************* 🌏 Web: https://www.motobeemer.com πŸ“² IG / FB: @MotoBeemer βœ… Motobeemer Merch! https://my-store-11449980.creator-spring.com/ βœ… Motobeemer Mapping System: https://www.motobeemer.com/maps-routes/ βœ… Motobeemer Tours in Colorado: https://www.motobeemer.com/2024-moto-tours/

Takeaways Motorcycle riders often face unconscious bias in accidents, with law enforcement sometimes favoring car drivers. It is crucial for riders to have adequate insurance coverage, including underinsured motorist coverage and content coverage. After an accident, riders should gather evidence, such as photos and witness statements, and consider seeking legal representation. New riders should prioritize safety gear, take advanced training courses, and practice emergency braking in empty parking lots. Advancements in motorcycle technology, such as ABS and gyroscopic systems, contribute to rider safety. Efforts to ban texting and driving have faced challenges in the legislative process, but there is growing support from various groups and organizations. Community involvement and events play a crucial role in promoting awareness and safety in the motorcycle community. Upcoming events and initiatives, such as the Colorado Expo and the BMW MOA, provide opportunities for riders to connect and support important causes. Situational awareness is essential for safe riding, and riders should always prioritize their own comfort level and ride within their skill and experience. A mentor program for new riders could help improve skills and safety by providing guidance and support from experienced riders.
