Description

Life is messy, right? No one really teaches you what it means to "get your sh*t together" and feel confident doing it. The thing is, we're all figuring it out – there is no right or wrong. We are humans in progress. But we take ourselves way too seriously when we make mistakes or f*ck up and it's BORING. Let's be real, we're on a floating rock, so why don't we just giggle about it? After all, it's all part of the plot...

Listen along for unfiltered chats on life, relationships, careers, solo travel & everything in between. You'll either learn, laugh, cry or all the above.

All the love, Nads x

P.S. I actually did kill my cactus – I think that pretty much sums this up.

Hello and welcome back to IKMC - the shame-free podcast where we yap about life’s chaotically fun & messy bits, and laugh about it. 🌵Today’s episode is a question I’m sure we’ve all thought about ourselves at least once: "am I being a bad friend? Maybe you feel like you're not being supportive enough, not showing up enough, not present…Obviously, there are times where you might not always be able to fill someone’s cup up. Maybe your energy is low or you’re going through a rough time. Adulting is hard. Long-distance friendships are also tough to navigate. We’re all on a different schedule and it’s not like we’re at uni or school any more, so that quality time or connection is more finite. And on the flip side, maybe you’re on the receiving end of that - you’re trying to work out if your friends are really your friends. The relationship has changed or evolved, you don’t feel as close, it feels different. Now, that is really common - and many factors contribute to this.So let's get deep into the nitty gritty of adult friendships, and figure it out together. Thank you so much for tuning into this episode - I hope you find it helpful or at least feel like you can take action or be proactive. Take a moment to share this episode with someone you know, support the show by rating 5* so I can create more episodes you love. And as always, follow along on @‌killedmycactuspod or DM me with some topics you want to yap about. All the love & vibes,Naida 💖 Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Hello and welcome back to IKMC - the shame-free podcast where we yap about life’s chaotically fun & messy bits and laugh about it.Today’s episode is about relaxing - and I don’t just mean in the traditional sense of cancelling plans because you’re tired, bed-rotting, binge-watching a series on Netflix or some well-needed R&R, but also removing any pressure you’re putting on yourself. Whether that’s job hunting, figuring out your ‘next step’ or hitting another goal/milestone in life. This is also about ignoring the social timeline. Letting go of expectations of what people want for you, where you should be... Ultimately, we have time. We can choose to wait, to chill, to change our mind. We actually have way more control than we think. This episode will give you that boost and *sigh of relief* when it comes to all the big life choices and changes you're going through in your 20s and 30s. Hopefully, you'll feel a lot more RELAXED about where you are and hopeful about what's to come...As always, please share this episode with someone you care about and needs to hear this today. Subscribe & rate the show 5* if you enjoyed it so I can continue making episodes you love (and give me an ego boost hehe). All the love & vibes,Nads 💖 Hosted on Acast. Hello and welcome back to IKMC - the shame-free podcast where we yap about life's chaotically fun & messy bits, and laugh about it. Today’s episode is all about fear and anxiety: how it shows up, what it means, why we need to listen to it, and the way it influences our next steps, choices and behaviours. For me, it's a mental reframe, how to see it as a friend, not foe. So we can chase fun opportunities, ask for that raise, grow into you 2.0!! This is not about eliminating fear (literally, impossible – we're not wired that way lol) but using it more as a tool. It's the classic "feel the fear, and do it anyway" vibes. Please share this episode with someone who needs to hear this too, rate the show 5* to help me create more content for you, and subscribe for weekly ramblings on all things life & mindset. Enjoy! All the love & vibes,Naida 💖P.S. If you have a topic or subject you want to chat about, DM me on @killedmycactuspod. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Hello and welcome back to IKMC – the shame-free podcast where we yap about life's chaotically fun & messy bits, and laugh about it!Today I'm yapping about 10 reasons I love moving back home at 29 – reframing it from potentially a 'negative' outlook to a positive one. I had to whittle this list down to only 10 things, there were actually TONNES more, but overall: it's a yes from me. So if you're currently at a crossroads, maybe considering moving back home to save money or for your health, whatever it is, then hopefully this chat will give you some inspiration and fresh POV. Hope you enjoy this episode – give it a cheeky 5* if you feel edutained, drop a comment or a topic idea to yap about and follow on @killedmycactuspod for more. Helloooooo - I'm back. Did ya miss me?It's been a hot minute since I got out the mic. I'll be real, life kinda hit me hard this year (literally) and I had a bit of a wake-up call. I can't sugar coat it, I've been struggling a lot with my mental health. So I'm sharing a bit about my story, starting anti-depressants & therapy, and a candid look into how I'm kinda restarting again at 29. There's no 'right or wrong' way to do life, and you can start or stop things whenever... You're allowed to change your mind. You're allowed to try something different or new. You're allowed to rewrite the plan.Whether you're in your 20s, 30s, 40s, there's no expiry date or timeline to do or achieve XYZ by. You also might find that maybe what you thought would make you happy, isn't anymore. So it's time for a change, even if it feels uncomfortable or like a step back, it's never too late! This is the kind of pressure I'm trying to let go of - taking more of a 'side step' in life. Figuring out what makes me happy and what's really important without expectation of a specific outcome. If this resonates with you, I'd like to say: you are not disappointing ANYONE but yourself when you ignore what you want in life. It's ok to feel lost, to feel stuck, to not know what is 'next' but you can still try. I hope you enjoy this episode - please subscribe, share and rate IKMC 5* so I can continue to build this shame-free space to yap and talk about the messy, chaotic, fun bits of life. Why do we always feel 'guilty' for not going out? Why do we have to justify wanting to stay in, binge telly, and do... nothing?I think it comes down to social pressure and the 'status quo' vibes of what "living your 20s" should be. Maybe it's the fear of being 'boring'. But, whose definition or perception is that? This is a little episode on how I try to ignore social pressure, FOMO, the 1% highlight reel noise, and just do ME. Hope you enjoy! P.S. Please like, share, follow & tell me what you think on @killedmycactuspod - join the convo! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Hello & welcome back to IKMC - the shame-free podcast where we yap about life's messy & fun bits, and laugh about it. You're ALL asking me about Ibiza... so lemme share the PG version (I left a piece of my soul there – but absolutely worth it). But the whole trip got me thinking how important it is to take breaks, to ENJOY life and remember that in all the sh*t, the messiness, the stress, the drama... THIS is actually what it's all about. Making memories, doing things we enjoy, actually living. We deserve to have fun: work hard, play harder.P.S. It took me about 50 business days to recover from the holiday but I'm finally out of the woodworks.Hope you enjoy this episode! Please like, share with your friends, follow for more juicy episodes & tell me what the whole point is for you on @killedmycactuspod - would love to hear from you. Hosted on Acast. Hey hey lil cactus. Life is messy in a weird and fun way, slightly chaotic and unpredictable - but that's what's great about it. We all feel a little lost in life, it's normal to go through these periods of "existential crisis" and "what the f*ck-ery". But we can use it as fuel for self-discovery rather than feel crap about ourselves or stuck. It's actually FANTASTIC that you're lost. Because it means you want to level up, try something new, step into the person you're meant to be... I know it sounds woo-woo but trust me when I say: everything is going to work out for you! (This is coming from someone who's been ✨burnt out✨ AF and finally coming out the other side of that sh*t hole.)So, I'm sharing everything I've learned with you so we can get through this messy bit together – menty b's, happy tears, and all!Hope it helps!P.S. Please rate this show 5* if you enjoy listening to my musings; follow for more & DM me on @killedmycactuspod with your reflections or stories, I love hearing from you! Hosted on Acast. Hello and welcome back to IKMC - the shame-free podcast where we yap about life's messy bits and laugh about it. Girlll what a week. Flopped business launch. Praying I can pay rent. Crying over spilt coffee (literally). Mental health? LOL, skip - next question. The truth is: it's not all rainbows. Life is really testing me rn. It feels heavy and hard. I'm wobbly. And I don't know if there's something in the air, but it seems like a lot of you are feeling similar. So instead of hustling harder, I'm taking a break – full permission to RELAX and do nothing because we can (and should) learn how to breathe, touch some grass, and stop taking this very unserious life for granted. I hope this episode brings you some comfort and joy. I'm a DM away if anyone needs to chat on @killedmycactuspod. Do something nice for yourself this week! All the vibes,Nads Hosted on Acast. Hello and welcome back to IKMC, the shame-free podcast where we yap about life's messy bits and laugh about it. This has been a WEEK for me, so obvs I'll share some of the stories - everything from Spider Saga to more ghosting (shock). So to lighten the mood, I asked on my IG stories "What moment did you realise you're not a kid anymore?" and got some equally funny, yet slightly deep responses, that I'm sure we can all (trauma) bond over. Anyways I won't spoil it, enjoy! P.S. Hit follow, share with your friends, and message me on @killedmycactuspod with your thoughts & feels. All the vibes,Nads 🌵 Hosted on Acast. Hello and welcome back to IKMC - the shame-free pod where we yap about life's messy bits and laugh about it. 🌵 This is a very 'real-talk' and vulnerable episode from me. But, gotta mix in some self-deprication and lighten the f*ck up so the episode is aptly named 'things stopping me from ending it all' especially as life/business is testing me rn. If you're also feeling like this, DM me on @killedmycactuspod and we can chat about it - sending big hugs. P.S. This not my usual upbeat and fun episode, I'll try to be on top-form next week. Welcome back to IKMC - the shame-free podcast where we yap about life's messy bits and laugh about it. So I know the (dreaded) Valentine's Day is looming and you might be feeling a bit down in le dumps, wondering why you're "cursed" or "still single". BUT I think we should flip the narrative. Being single are some of the most underrated and BEST moments of your life in my (unbiased) opinion and we should romanticise it. I'm sharing 10 fun ideas to spend Valentine's whether by yourself, friends, or loved ones outside the romantic spectrum of 'love'. There's a mix of chill n'cute vs chaotic n'raunchy.Enjoy! P.S. Please give this show a 5* if it made you smile, share and tag your friends to listen, and DM me on @killedmycactuspod to continue the chat. All the love, Nads x Hosted on Acast.
