Tim Riley is Director of Sports Performance at Kollective in Austin, TX where he trains athletes at the pro, collegiate, and high school level. Most notably, Riley currently oversees and conducts strength and conditioning sessions for NFL, NBA, PLL & AVP athletes. The NFL off-season program at Kollective is one the largest and most respected programs in the country. Riley is also the head strength and conditioning coach for The University of Texas Men's Lacrosse. Riley launched his training career in 2017 after receiving a lifelong training certification through NPTI, under the supervision and mentorship of Professor Dave Boetcher. He then founded Timrileytraining LLC, a training company working with young athletes. Melissa is a performance physical therapist and is heavily involved in the CrossFit space as a healthcare provider, as well as an athlete. Melissa grew up in the Metropolitan New York area, but now resides in the Tampa Bay area. Upon graduating from PT school, Melissa started working in an outpatient orthopedic physical therapy practice, but was unsatisfied with what she was able to achieve there and the level of care provided for patients. At the time, she was coaching remotely and decided to break away form the clinic altogether, and opened up her own practice. GSP was scared every time he walked out because he was smart, and because he CARED about the outcome. I always tell people that nerves/anxiety (within normal limits) and fear are perfectly normal and reasonable responses, and if harnessed can help you respond quickly and well to situations. Still going out and getting the job done is possible, and even ideal, providing YOU control the dialogue. (by being prepared and building confidence etc). Loved this chat!
I began my fitness journey with the immune system and eliminating the prescription train. Once we tune with our own bodies we get open to a massive data source, not everyone wants to do the work.
