The prevalent methodology for starting and building a business is grounded in strategy and planning, primarily based on mathematics. This is an entirely logical and reasoned approach, but it is not enough on its own, particularly when it comes to the execution.  “Over the last few decades, businesses have invested heavily in formulating strategy, but less in their ability to implement it. And yet strategy execution is consistently cited as the major bugbear for senior executives”.Today we will be discussing change management in turnarounds and Mike shares some simple techniques to drive change and turnaround businesses using the push vs pull strategies
Join Chennakeshav Adya, Managing Partner, and Nav Kaplish, Partner Risk Management as they discuss vulnerabilities in enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. When it comes to ERP security controls, experience talks.  Because they are usually out of the box solutions, these systems don't come with the controls enabled that regulators, management and internal auditors demand.  It takes years of experience to identify and design optimal ERP controls, develop efficient ways to test them and remediate ERP control failures. Staying on the "cutting edge" of ERP security controls is difficult. Rather than continually training your staff and using their time to perform ERP risk assessments, it makes sense to partner with experienced professionals who do this work every day.   Check www.adancorporate.com/en-uk/risk-management/index-risk-management.html for more on Adan Corporate's Risk Management practice.

Join Chennakeshav Adya, Managing Partner, and Dipak Khot, Partner Risk Management, as they discuss liquidity and market risk.Liquidity risk is associated with an investor's ability to transact their investment for cash. Typically, investors will require some premium for illiquid assets which compensates them for holding securities over time that cannot be easily liquidated. Before the global financial crisis (GFC), liquidity risk was not on everybody's radar. Financial models routinely omitted liquidity risk. But the GFC prompted a renewal to understand liquidity risk.1? One reason was a consensus that the crisis included a run on the non-depository, shadow banking system - providers of short-term financing, notably in the repo market - systematically withdrew liquidity. They did this indirectly but undeniably by increasing collateral haircuts. After the GFC, all major financial institutions and governments are acutely aware of the risk that liquidity withdrawal can be a nasty accomplice in transmitting shocks through the system - or even exacerbating contagion.A risk management strategy provides a structured and coherent approach to identifying, assessing and managing risk or uncertainties followed up by minimizing, monitoring and controlling the impact of risk realities or enhancing the opportunity potential by applying coordinated and economical resources.Check www.adancorporate.com/en-uk/risk-management/index-risk-management.html for more on Adan Corporate's Risk Management practice.
Join Chennakeshav Adya, Managing Partner, and Dr. Nicholas Beecroft, Partner Executive Coaching and Commercial Mediation, as they discuss a methodical process to effectively integrate your logic, reason and intellect with inner mastery of emotional intelligence, intuition, gut instinct, mindfulness and judgement - a competitive advantage worth having. Dr. Beecroft also shares his experience of saving a Family Office $27 million in one afternoon using these powerful techniques.Human beings make mistakes, especially in a complex world, under pressure with limited time and information. We make false assumptions, fail to foresee threats, strategic shocks and opportunities and get outmanoeuvred by competitors. We have many emotional, social and cognitive biases which distort our judgements and decision-making, such as groupthink and wishful thinking.Whether you are an investor deciding about whether to put your money into a particular business or an entrepreneur pitching for funds to launch your new venture, it's in your interest to thoroughly test the pitch, the proposition, the business plan, strategy, the leadership team, the financial projections and every aspect of a deal before it is done. And so it is in business. To improve your chances of making wise decisions and implementing successful new ventures and investments, it makes sense to thoroughly test and optimise your decision, pitch, strategy, deal, plan or acquisition before launch.Check https://adancorporate.com/en-uk/coaching/index-coaching.html for more on Adan Corporate's Executive Coaching and Leadership practice.
