Ever wonder why sometimes social media can get us in our feels? Listen to Emma, Marissa and special guest LaToy talk social media and how its changed what it means to be successful.
In the final part of this two-part series, experts in finance get into more of what we really want to know: how to *actually* start saving and investing in 2022, and why it’s so important for us to invest (instead of just save) in this day and age.
As young adults, we were taught to never talk about 3 things publicly: politics, religion and money. But by the title of this episode you should know which one we’re gonna be getting into today. In this episode of a two-part series, experts in finance talk with us about some of the ways to *actually* make money and the mindset required to build generational wealth.
This year alone has been filled with so much uncertainty and a lot of us may have been left with more anxiety, depressive symptoms, and quite possibly the tendency to drink more and abuse other substances. More than that, without our usual distractions, we may have been left to reflect on a lot of things, some of which we may have done our best to push deep down and forget about. When an arm is broken, we would just go to the doctor, right? So why when we experience these mental health challenges do we avoid getting one of the top healthy remedies to deal with them-why do we really avoid therapy?
Picture this....you’re in line and somebody skips you, what do you do? Are you going to call them out on it or are you going to let it ride? What about speaking up then your partner does something you don't like? Are you saying exactly what's on your mind or waiting for them to just know what they did?  Truth is, communicating effectively isn't easy but its a big part of adulthood when it comes to showing up authentically and honouring your needs. Emma, Marissa and Christian come together to discuss all things communication and how to fix it.
Raise your hand if you’ve ever heard these phrases:  "Good vibes only"  "Cheer up"  "Everything happens for a reason"  "It could be worse"  While the intention behind these sayings can mean well, it leaves no room for how we’re actually feeling and robs us of the opportunity to address how we actually feel. Believe it or not, positivity can be toxic. Join us as we talk toxic positivity, instant gratification, embracing acceptance & honouring your needs.

In the first episode of Season 2, Emma, Marissa, and guest, Alicia a. k. a "Nyobi", discuss being stuck, getting unstuck, and why making decisions can be so hard as an adult. A big part of living your best life is living it how you want to, and a key way that you do this is by making decisions. Being able to make your own decisions is especially important when you become an adult but let's be real, making decisions can be overwhelming for too many reasons to count. It’s almost as if all of these decisions that you might not have had to make before are now magically at your doorstep with no rulebook in sight. Join us as we talk about it and share some helpful tips.
