As Victoria heads towards a horrific 2019 road toll, it’s more important than ever for fleets to remain vigilant of safety in the mobile work space. But it should not just be the responsibility of the fleet it should be shared throughout and beyond all organisations. Genuine improvement in safety is something that is always aspired towards but often never fully achieved among many organisations due to a lack of awareness, resources, money, time or worst a lack of willingness to change. When applied properly effective road safety becomes good business.Jerome Carslake will explore a few elements and what it means to genuinely identify road safety elements. These include:• safe road use - People are at the heart of the safe system approach to road safety.• safe speeds - A small increase in speed can make a big difference to the seriousness of a crash.• safe vehicles - safe vehicle choices can have a significant effect of survivability in a crash.• safe roads - safe roads are designed and built to be more forgiving and account for human error. And most importantly illustrating how a shared responsibility is about empowering the organisation to use all elements within its control to influence road safety.Don’t miss this unique opportunity to learn more about road safety and how to better educate your employees on the importance.Presented in Melbourne on 18/07/2019
