Pastor Ryan Smith joins us again on the podcast with an update on the Elon Church Plant, a soon-to-be reality for us at Provision Church as we plan to send the Smiths and the core team out in May of this year. Ryan shares what God has been teaching him personally during the prep time, what the mission statement and core values of Truth Bible Church are, and finally some encouraging developments in the process. Please join us in praying consistently for the Smiths, the core team, and the Elon/Burlington area. More than that, talk to Ryan in person about it on Sunday!

Based off our Summer 2022 Sermon Series titled "Devoted to Prayer," Cole walks through the Lord's Prayer line-by-line. The goal of this practical series is to use Scripture to pray the Lord's prayer as Jesus taught us. In this short episode, we look at the concept of what God's Kingdom is and a few avenues by which we can pray as Jesus taught: "your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven"
Quinn Medlin, 2nd year College Resident, joins Cole on this episode to discuss the topic of Evangelism. Often a word that creates a lot of fear, guilt, or nervousness in Christians, Quinn explains why evangelism (simply meaning sharing the good news of Jesus) is actually life-giving. We look at some cultural views surrounding evangelism along with the scriptural basis for why we evangelize. Lastly, we talk through some practical steps for how you can share the good news of Christ with friends, relatives, aquaintances, neighbors, co-workers or classmates.

Michael Flitz, 2nd year Family Resident, joins Cole on this 2-part podcast to talk about the biblical basis for Family Ministry. What is God's heart for families? How should families worship God together? How do we do this at Provision Church? Whether single, married, a house full of children, or empty-nesters, the local church is ultimately one big family of God.
Based off our Sermon Series titled "Devoted to Prayer," Cole walks through the Lord's Prayer line-by-line. The goal of this practical series is to use Scripture to pray the Lord's prayer as Jesus taught us. In this episode, we look at how Ephesians 1 and Psalm 103 are two wonderful passages to meditate on as we learn to pray "Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name"
Ryan joins Cole on this episode to discuss the heart behind church planting. Why plant a church? Why Elon? What is the biblical basis for church planting? How do we at Provision get involved? All this and more on today's episode.
"And Abraham lifted up his eyes and looked, and behold, behind him was a ram, caught in a thicket by his horns. And Abraham went and took the ram and offered it up as a burnt offering instead of his son. So Abraham called the name of that place, “The Lord will provide”; as it is said to this day, “On the mount of the Lord it shall be provided.” -Gen 22:13-15
Why "Provision in the Thicket"? Genesis 22, the story of Abraham willing to offer Isaac—his only son—only for God to step in and provide the ram, is a story of the gospel. God has definitively provided His Only Son for our salvation. He has provided His Word as the means to know His will. He has provided the Church as the vehicle to carry the Great Commission to the nations.
Join Mark Navey and Cole Bohnsack, staff members at Provision Church, for this week's episode.
