Any place we look, we are inundated and overwhelmed with commercials, coupons and advertisements. So many that they sometimes become nothing more than white noise. Setting yourself apart then, is imperative to cutting through that noise. That's exactly what we do at Innovative Fitness, here's how...
The name "AlphaDog" is more than just a bravado-filled, chest pumping type of name. There is an incredible origin to it, that involves brothers holding each other accountable in times of prosperity, and holding each other up in times of need. Sam Falsafi joins us once again to tell his origin story of how he inspired Jesse to create the AlphaDog movement.
Before you dust off your journals, sign up for another fitness challenge, or swear to all your friends that you'll finally maintain a healthy lifestyle, listen to this podcast. It's way too easy to set goals, then give up on them only days later. I know, I've done it a million times! So before we get frustrated with ourselves for not following through, Jesse will break down how we should be setting goals to ensure success.
I don't like the term New Year's Resolution, simply because if you want real change to happen, it shouldn't matter what time of year it is. However, I do see the value in a mental and emotional "starting point". I also recognize that millions of people still use the beginning of the year as this starting point. So, with less than a week to go until the start of 2017, now is the perfect time to reflect on the goals you set in 2016. How did they go? What went right...what went wrong? How could you improve your results? Most important, how can you take the lessons learned in 2016 and apply them to your 2017 goals?
Today we were blessed to be joined by our Brotha from Anotha, Sam Falsafi. Many of the guys within Warrior have tested their physical and mental fortitude, by challenging themselves to complete Kokoro. It's an extreme endurance test, that Jesse has gone through, and we talked about on previous podcasts. Sam attempted Kokoro and was unfortunately dropped from the course. In this episode, Sam talks about the physical, mental and emotional stress of not completing the challenge. As well as, we plan Sam's comeback to complete Kokoro on his next attempt.
It's really easy to get overwhelmed by ALL the things we need to get done....all the weight we want to lose, all the business we want to create, all the relationships we want to mend. Instead of focusing on all the tasks facing us, the game should be to focus on completing the day to day small commitments that will help us achieve those goals.
Jesse is now a 2-Time winner of Warrior's Fittest Man. It's a competition among the other members of the Warrior Empire. Hear his account of his preparation and how he topped some of the best athlete/entrepreneurs in the country.
What's the difference between an addiction and a habit? And are there any of either that you struggle with? Gene and Jesse don't 100% agree on the topic and the way to overcome it. This slight difference in view makes for a great conversation. Leave us a comment and let us know your thoughts, and where we may have fallen short in our arguments.
It is really easy to set goals in my journal for my body transformation, my business/career, and my family/friends. Every time I accomplish one of those goals, I immediately sit down, write new goals and start the process over again. It is good to be so ambitious. It is also important to realize how far you've come, and appreciate yourself fro your accomplishments.
Jesse takes the responsible step, but one I still have a hard time contemplating. Listen to his account of getting a vasectomy. The reasons are good of course, the outcome is positive of course...but still....yikes!
It's really easy to set goals. A lot of times, I look at other peoples' business and families saying "I want that". Rarely however do we take that one step further and look at the cost of attaining those things. Whether it's a financial, mental/emotional or time cost, expansion is never free. However, the return on that investment is usually bananas!
If you've played team sports or listened to sports announcers on TV, I'm certain you've heard the term "set the tone." I remember my high school basketball coach saying it all the time. For me, it was just a reminder to focus, so that you can play well and implement the team plan. The same "tone" can most definitely be implemented in your business, fitness and family life. In this podcast, Jesse breaks down how he successfully sets the tone for his life.
GoRuck Tough is a physical challenge involving hiking and physical workout challenges over many hours. When you're body is broken down so far, you're forced to remember WHY you chose to do this event, or any other choice you've made. So while the challenges seem extreme, the lessons gleaned are entirely invaluable. Jesse completed the challenge last weekend. In this episode he shares the experience with us, and all the lessons he learned. Catch up with Jesse at www.innovativefitnessllc.com or jesse@innovativefitnessllc.com.
I had the absolute pleasure of sitting down with Jesse and his wife Katie. Success in business can be difficult, success in relationships can be difficult, combine them and the challenges are exponential. Jesse and Katie are completely open and honest about their progressions as business and life partners. If you have any questions, comments, or topics you'd like to hear us discuss, email us at Jesse@InnovativeFitnessLLC.com
Jesse got a chance to sit down with his good friend and client Ben Warfield. They discuss fitness, business, family...and everything in between. Hearing how other people have pushed through barriers and/or overcome obstacles to achieve success always inspires me. I'm sure hearing Ben's story will inspire you too.
A few weeks ago, Jesse went through the Kokoro program, a crazy-intense physical and mental challenge. We talk details of the program and all the incredible details...but more importantly we discuss the life lessons and take-aways from the program. If you have any questions, comments, or topics you'd like to hear us discuss, email us at Jesse@InnovativeFitnessLLC.com
In this episode we discuss what is "AlphaDog", who is Jesse Ewell, and a little about the philosophy surrounding Innovative Fitness LLC. If you have any questions or comments, email us at Jesse@innovativefitnessllc.com
Sometimes wanting to "take time for myself" can feel like being selfish. I have family, friends and clients that all want a piece. So prioritizing myself and my future can sometimes feel like I can cutting them out and it causes me some anxiety. So I ask Jesse how do I start shifting that mindset into realizing that the more I take care of myself, the more I can help others. Great advice as always from Jesse.
