We had the pleasure of interviewing Grace Davies over Zoom video!Grace Davies unveils her latest single 'Another Night,' a masterfully crafted, feel-good pop anthem which showcases her remarkable vocals and creative talent within songwriting & music production. The track's infectious energy immediately captivates listeners, creating an irresistible and timeless soundscape that will leave you instantly hooked.Crafted in collaboration with producer Paul Whalley & topliner Ben Lythe, 'Another Night' draws inspiration from Grace's childhood musical influences, notably ABBA, infusing the track with a nostalgic, warm, fuzzy feeling that resonates deeply with us all. The production masterfully balances retro elements with contemporary pop sensibilities - creating a unique for current times, yet universally appealing sound that wraps listeners in a comforting sonic embrace. ‘Another Night’ is a result of an unconventional songwriting approach for Grace – working backwards from melody to lyrics. "I never work like that, normally" Grace reveals. "I usually have a specific topic I want to write about, come in with lyrics pre-prepared, and then find a melody. This time “Producer Paul” had the piano part already in his voice notes and I just mumbled gibberish over the top that happened to sound like the words “Another Night”. It was really fun to imagine what the song could be about from a title, rather than picking from past experiences." Grace, Ben & Paul have become somewhat of a “dream-team”, in their own words, across the forthcoming project - with ‘Another Night’ being their inaugural co-write together. At its core, 'Another Night' explores the delicate balance of relationships pushed to their breaking point. The track delves into the territory of paranoia in love, chronicling the moment when small grievances snowball into irreparable damage. The song's gradual build-up mirrors this emotional journey, culminating in a powerful revelation of vulnerability and regret. Yet, true to Grace's artistic vision, she transforms this heavy narrative into an uplifting dance-pop experience. When listening to Grace Davies' single ‘Another Night’ she playfully notes, "You can't help but dance... ‘Dance Cry’, my personal favourite genre!" This brilliant juxtaposition of emotional depth and catchy chorus, paired with the nostalgic melodies, creates a fun pop anthem that is not only relatable but encourages listeners to find joy and have fun, even in life's more challenging moments.About Grace DaviesGrace Davies is a 27-year-old singer, songwriter, musician and producer from Blackburn, Lancashire. Since the beginning of her career, Grace has scored huge success, with over 100M+ streams for her songs on Spotify alone, support across the board at radio and acclaim everywhere from The Sunday Times to the BBC. At the age of 18, Grace’s first self-released project received national BBC Introducing support, was championed by BBC 6 Music and had a track remixed by Radio 1 Dance Music DJ, Danny Howard. In 2017, she was invited to appear on the X Factor and her audition video of original song ‘roots’ went viral. In a first for the show, Grace shook up the format by showcasing her original material throughout the competition and triumphed as runner up - gaining a top 2 iTunes chart position and numerous top 10s. 2020 marked the start of a new era in Grace’s career – her debut EP Friends With The Tragic reaffirmed her reputation as an exceptional songwriter. Following the closure of her former label SYCO, she self-released her second EP I Wonder If You Wonder in 2021, which was an even bigger success - with standout release ‘roots’ (written solely by Grace), reaching the Top 3 in the UK iTunes Single Charts, the Official Charts Top 100 and the UK Big Top 40, as well as plays on BBC Radio 1Xtra, BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 2, Heart & Capital FM. Her last EP, It Wasn’t Perfect, But We Tried sees her at her most confident and in the producer’s chair for the first time. As well as writing credits on all five songs, she co-produced three tracks, and fully produced two of the tracks herself, proving her a true multi-hyphenate. Grace’s catalogue continues to gain in popularity for sync in international TV programmes, including Love Island, Britain’s Got Talent, I’m A Celebrity (Get Me Out Of Here), Strictly Come Dancing, American Idol, Eastenders, Hollyoaks and many more. Grace is completely owning her sound and is never happier than being at the forefront of her projects, both sonically as well as creatively. As a result, she is blazing a trail for women in a male-dominated industry. Grace Davies has had a consistent stream of incredibly crafted music that deeply connects her to her listeners; part of that body work includes her previous single “A Wonderful, Boring, Normal Life' generating acknowledgement from Clash Magazine, Equate Magazine and The Official Charts Company. Now with her latest single 'Another Night,' she channels her artistic excellence into a nostalgic pop anthem that proves Grace Davies is back better than ever, ready to dominate both playlists and dance floors across the UK.We want to hear from you! We had the pleasure of interviewing Atlas Genius over Zoom video!Australian-based brothers, Atlas Genius are thrilled to release their new album End of the Tunnel. The band has put together a special recipe for the new collection of songs. After a few years and the healing of their father, the band built a recording studio in their home’s garage. Out of this home studio came the band’s debut album and certified platinum hit single “Trojans.” Over their career, Atlas Genius has traveled the world supporting Weezer, Blink 182, Incubus, Silversun Pickups, The Neighborhood, Passion Pit, Imagine Dragons, The Kooks, and more. We had the pleasure of interviewing Amythyst Kiah over Zoom video!GRAMMY-nominated singer-songwriter Amythyst Kiah shares her new album, Still + Bright via Rounder Records. Produced by Butch Walker (Taylor Swift, Green Day and Weezer) and recorded at his Nashville studio, the 12-track album is a vital new addition to Kiah’s body of work, one largely dedicated to exploring the struggle and joy of true self-discovery. While her 2021 Wary + Strange details her grief, anger, and abandonment, Still + Bright is her liberation from the events of her earlier life, examining the vast expanse of her inner world, passions, self-exploration and realization, with a darkly cinematic twist. The project – which Rolling Stone hailed is “poised to be a major moment for the east Tennessee-raised singer-songwriter” – expands upon the wild definitions of Americana music. From gothic love songs with haunting vocals (“Silk and Petals feat. Butch Walker”) to a furiously stomping fantasy-inspired folk epic (“I Will Not Go Down” feat.Billy Strings"), or an ode to meditation laced with lush mandolin lines and lovely fiddle melodies (“S P A C E”), the album affirms her as an artist of both daring originality and uncompromising depth. The album is a collision of her love of indie rock, garage guitars and symphonic metal, flawlessly melded with the visceral lyricism and songwriting she’s renowned for in the roots community. The project – which features collaborations with S.G. Goodman, Billy Strings and Avi Kaplan (Pentatonix) – also marks a complete transformation in Kiah’s songwriting process: her first time opening up her approach and working with co-writers on an album. The album features co-writes with punk legend Tim Armstrong, Sadler Vaden (guitarist/vocalist for Jason Isbell’s 400 Unit) and Sean McConnell (Brittney Spencer, Bethany Cosentino).Kiah is currently on the road on her Still + Bright Tour, plus she recently was announced as direct support for select dates of Larkin Poe’s The Bloom Tour.About Amythyst Kiah:With an unforgettable voice that’s both unfettered and exquisitely controlled, the Tennessee-bred singer/songwriter is a “fantastic fingerpicker, dynamo singer and profound songwriter [who] defies all sorts of stereotypes” (Guitar Player). Her 2021 release of Wary + Strange earned glowing features and reviews from The New York Times, NPR Morning Edition, Pitchfork, and Rolling Stone, plus performances on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and CBS Saturday Morning. Kiah is also a member of Our Native Daughters—an all-women-of-color supergroup whose standout track “Black Myself” (written by Kiah) earned a Grammy Award nomination for Best American Roots Song. She recently joined Iron & Wine on their summer tour, and has shared stages with The Who, Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, CAM and more. We want to hear from you! We had the pleasure of interviewing BabyJake over Zoom video!Florida-born Jake Herring, known professionally as BabyJake, may have appeared to be an overnight success, but his journey to the spotlight was anything but instantaneous. His hit single Cigarettes on Patios took off in 2019, garnering 200M+ streams and earning him a certified gold record and a major label deal. He would release two albums from the same vine, until the upheaval of the pandemic saw him splitting with his label and at a pivotal turning point. But giving up was never an option for Jake, and his resilience set him on a new path: an ascetic journey to rediscover himself, shedding his shag haircut in favor of a buzzcut, naked skin marked by the tattoos he collected along his journey. He found the answer on his upcoming album Beautiful Blue Collar Boy, a bouquet of songs rooted in the beauties and hardships of day to day life. Drawing influence from the likes of Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, and Jeff Tweedy, BabyJake stays true to his north star of confident storytelling and songwriting. On Beautiful Blue Collar Boy, Jake trades in the late night parties for the simplicity of authenticity, hard work, and a meaningful life to come home to.This chapter of BabyJake reveals a man stripped down to his American roots, with each song painting a small vignette of BabyJake’s blue collar dreams. Now planted in Nashville, TN, Jake returns to us as a Beautiful Blue Collar Boy.We want to hear from you! We had the pleasure of interviewing Amble over Zoom video!Rising Irish folk trio Amble unveil their major label debut EP, The Commons, via Warner Records. Listen to it HEREBeloved for their descriptive storytelling, lyrics and powerful live performances, the band just announced their biggest headline tour to date for 2025, including shows at Dublin’s Trinity College and New York’s Bowery Ballroom, which sold out within minutes. The 30+ date run follows the band’s entirely sold-out 2024 headline tour across US, Canada, UK and Ireland, including their debut performances in Los Angeles, New York City, Chicago, and many more. The Commons includes previously released tracks, “Little White Chapel” and “The Commons,” plus three new tracks, including the standout ballad “Thoughts Flood Back To You,” “One Man’s Love,” and“Luke The Navigator.” Throughout, the five-track EP explores themes of love, loss, and loneliness but always concludes with hope and wonder for the beautiful world around us.On writing the EP, the band explains, “Every one of our songs tells a story. We had no ambition to add bells or whistles or anything production-wise. We’re putting a microphone in a room, recording the music, and that's it. All three members are songwriters, each contributing in their own unique way. Robbie’s songs are based on personal experiences while Oisin – who also writes poetry and short stories– delivers somewhat more impressionistic work, and Ross admits he’s more of a melody guy.”Stay tuned for much more from Amble in 2025.ABOUT AMBLEAmble are Robbie Cunningham, Oisin McCaffrey, and Ross Mc Nerney, a three-piece ensemble of songwriters hailing from the Midlands and West of Ireland. Amble’s debut EP, 2023’s Amble (Live), introduced a new, musing, trad-tinged trio of songwriters to the Irish music scene, followed by 2024’shighly distinctive Of Land and Sea, found the group expanding their sound to an ever-more global audience. Their songs present indelible marks of deft rural-related storytelling and musicality that is equally traditional and current. Unusually for a contemporary group, all three members are songwriters. Every song tells a story. Robbie, Ross, and Oisin write songs that provide a quick getaway: one minute you’re at the center of life’s relentless storms, the next you’re sitting in the shelter and warmth of your local bar on a chilly winter‘s evening with friends, a drink, and the reliability of a great song. The unique perspective of three individual songwriters creates a peerless body of work - built on the now familiar, ruminative observations on the world and more fitting to the Amble journey - the stories unfolding each day within it.We want to hear from you! His certified platinum hits “After Hours” and “Enough” have certainly solidified him as one to watch. He’s also opened for heavy-hitters like Tate McRae, Macklemore, and Jesse Murph. After building anticipation with one banger after another, charlieonnafriday, who has amassed nearly 1 billion global streams with his string of irrepressible releases since 2022, unveils his anxiously-awaited debut album, WILD CHILD, out now via Island Records. The record showcases his immense growth as a songwriter, vocalist, performer, and formidable presence. He makes music with the indisputable integrity surrounded by “day one” friends—fondly known as his “onnafriday” clique. He initially lit up TikTok mid-Pandemic. We had the pleasure of interviewing Capstan over Zoom video! To make a mosaic, tiny pieces interlock as a larger picture. In similar fashion, distinct elements coalesce as one in Capstan. We had the pleasure of interviewing Nina Nesbitt over Zoom video!Singer-songwriter and producer and multi-instrumentalist, Nina Nesbitt releases her new album, Mountain Music. From exceeding a billion streams to being championed by Taylor Swift and playing shows with everyone from Coldplay to Stevie Nicks, Nina’s career has taken her from highlight to highlight. Yet the release of her new album could well be the most significant moment to date. Not only is it a record that leans into an accomplished and engaging new sound, but it’s also the first release via her new independent label Apple Tree Records.Mountain Music is a record in which authenticity flows through every moment. Its impetus was a moment of crisis: Nina had become overwhelmed by the need to be always active on social media and realized it was a huge distraction from her songwriting. So instead, she paused and went back to basics. What emerged was a set of songs which were informed, in part by the two years she spent touring the States in support of her second studio album: the critically acclaimed The Sun Will Come Up, The Seasons Will Change, and partly by the Americana and US folk music that she has always loved. Their narratives also became more personal than ever. She reflected on everything that has happened in her life: growing up in a small Scottish village, breaking into music while living in the bustle of London, and now looking back at all of her life experiences from her new home in the countryside. While it might sound strange that Nesbitt was drawn to the music of Appalachia, heard echoing through the vast, verdant mountain ranges of the eastern United States, it makes more sense when you consider how traditional Scottish ballads and hymns are threads in that rich tapestry.Speaking about the new album, Nina Nesbitt reveals, “’Mountain Music’ feels like the most authentic and honest piece of work I’ve created so far. I was inspired by a lot of the American folk music I grew up listening to, and revisiting it made me fall back in love with writing music again. I knew I wanted to take inspiration but to also write my own story. This album celebrates that small town girl, puts an arm around the big city twenty-something and looks back at the view with me now from the calm and the quiet. ‘Mountain Music’ held my hand through some of my hardest moments and I hope it can hold yours too.”The album’s organic, resonant feel also comes from a recording process which placed a sharper focus on the importance of live performances. Accompanied by a band of musicians, Peter Miles and Nina produced sessions at Middle Farm Studios in South Devon in the UK, with Peter completing the record with mixing and mastering. That sound is today further showcased as Nina shares the new Mountain Music Session performance of the album’s closing track, “Parachute,” a swaying, romantic ballad that also addresses her introvert tendencies. Accompanied by a five-piece band, Nina leads a song which steadily grows in stature from sparse piano into a dramatic crescendo of sound. She’s visibly lost within the moment, channeling her emotions into an affecting song which charts the self-doubt that she had prior to starting the album.Having recently enjoyed a big spotlight moment when she performed at Team Great Britain’s Homecoming show live on BBC One to over 2 million viewers, and having just completed a dream tour as special guest to Stevie Nicks earlier this year, Nina plans to hit the road next month for a UK headline tour. For a list of upcoming tour dates, please visit ninanesbittmusic.com.Stay tuned for more music and live dates, coming soon!We want to hear from you! We had the pleasure of interviewing Little Monarch over Zoom video!Plenty of Time gives listeners a look inside Little Monarch, the bedroom-pop disco-funk hybrid brainchild of Casey Kalmenson. Recorded in her home studio in Los Angeles, CA, the collection of 13 tracks strung together in between tours and life on the road range from simple moments to introspective homesick yearnings. Plenty of Time features latest single and opener “We Got That Feeling,” a funky and slick track about capturing those special moments with loved ones that make the rest of the world fade away and turn good times into timeless memories. Atmospheric track “It’s Like Music” describes the comforting feeling of listening to the ramblings of someone you adore. The cosmic self-love anthem “Sheesh” and radiant bass-driven single “Follow Your Majesty” both share a similar message of putting yourself first while celebrating your individuality. Elsewhere on the full-length is jaunty track “Bounce” that encourages you to go after what you want while “Same Old” bursts with warbly synths as Kalmenson speaks to being surrounded by the wrong kind of energy you need to be your best self. As Little Monarch, Kalmenson creates a truly unique listening experience, blending various elements into a cohesively contemporary yet retro sonic drive, and Plenty of Time is no exception to that.Recognized for her exceptional musical abilities, she has found viral success with hits including “No Matter What” and “Strike” which have quickly added to her over 41 million global streams and she has garnered praise from the likes of Wonderland, Ones To Watch, The Line of Best Fit, and Atwood Magazine among others. Her music can be heard in a variety of campaigns with brands such as Abercrombie & Fitch and Shiseido Cosmetics along with syncs for shows including Grey’s Anatomy, Love Is Blind, and Love At First Lie. She is also an integral member of Gracie Abrams' band and played a pivotal role in the highly acclaimed Taylor Swift The Era's Tour in 2023, showcasing her exceptional talent on a global stage. We had the pleasure of interviewing Tony McGuinness of Above & Beyond over Zoom video! Before Tony McGuinness was Tony McGuinness of Above & Beyond, he was another artist, another music industry professional, another man entirely, which is completely understandable. Because, for the Tony McGuinness who is finally releasing his debut album almost three decades after he recorded it, it was a whole other lifetime.‘Salt’ is the great lost solo project from the songwriter who would become the chief “male voice” lyricist in Above & Beyond (beloved favorites like “Sun & Moon,” “Thing Called Love,” “Northern Soul,” “Gratitude,” and more). Now, at last, in 2024, the fans, followers, and the fascinated can hear the DNA of that songwriting mastery. McGuinness wrote the heart of Salt’s nine tracks in a heady six-month burst between 1995 and 1996, the result of a classic ’90s whirlwind romance in London that was popping off with the explosion of club culture in the UK.This whirlwind romance became the inspiration behind “Biker Babe,” the first single from the forthcoming album. “She had a Triumph motorcycle T-shirt on,” says McGuinness. "And I just went twang on my guitar and sang: ‘biker babe, biker babe…’. And that's how that song came.”In “Biker Babe,” a sun-dappled Sixties strum with, let’s just say it, Noel Gallagher-shaped contours, Tony wrote a song where he and Shelley’s story was transposed onto characters in Twin Peaks. “Which is where the mention of The Roadhouse comes from," he says of a lovelorn confessional which, 28 years later, opens Salt, "and ran with that all the way through to the ending. I knew she was gonna have to go back to America because she had no visa, and she had a flat in America that she didn't want to lose.”Also on the “Biker Babe” single is “Babydoll White,” a title which fans may recognize in another form from McGuinness’s Deep House alias ‘Fingerprint.’ He had remixed the track as a deep house record and released it in 2020 on Anjunabeats; however, the song originated in a completely different form. “Babydoll White” features a guitar solo by co-producer and longtime collaborator Bob Bradley.‘Biker Babe’, and the entire “Salt” album is out now via Anjunabeats. We had the pleasure of interviewing Sadye over Zoom video!Sadye was one of the winners of Optimism's "We Heart The Art" Contest! The contest shines a light on the creativity and innovation occurring onchain. Sadye minted her song Pretty Traumatized on Sound.xyz in January, which was her entry for Optimism's "We Heart The Art" contest.Inspired by her intense struggle with cancer, discovering self-worth, and dealing with toxic relationships, her lyrics are steeped in a sarcastic form of catharsis as she learns to love her literal, and figurative, scars; a theme beautifully juxtaposed by catchy, modern melodies and edgy pop production. Her music has received adds to coveted Spotify playlists including Obsessed, IT"S A BOP!, New Pop Picks, Night Pop and more as well as Apple's New in Alternative, Amazon's Breakthrough Pop, Girl Squad and Tidal's Future Sounds. Her latest single "Pretty Traumatized" is produced by regular collaborators Mike Green (Paramore, Sueco, Gwen Stefani, 5SOS, Paris Hilton) and Nico Stadi (Justin Bieber, Jason Derulo). The track is a bouncy, nostalgic, dark-pop anthem. Featuring airy keys punctuated by 80's synth stabs and driving 808's, Sadye delivers her signature tongue-in-cheek lyrics inspired by her real life story of recovery, reminding us that we can embrace our traumas and still look damn good doing it.Sadye transcends the limits of mainstream pop, challenging listeners and breathing new life into the genre with otherworldly mystique and uncompromising vision. From humble beginnings as a small town singer/songwriter, Sadye writes with depth and heart, often taking on unexpectedly dark and heavy themes. Inspired by her intense struggle with cancer, dealing with toxic relationships, and finally discovering her self-worth, her lyrics are steeped in a sarcastic form of catharsis as she learns to love her literal, and figurative, scars; a theme beautifully juxtaposed by catchy, modern melodies and edgy pop production, appealing to fans of Kim Petras and Charli XCX to Nine Inch Nails and The Weeknd.Boasting hundreds of thousands of streams, TV placements, and playlist covers, Sadye leans into her inconceivable “industry plant” aesthetic, challenging conventional notions of stardom, and prompting listeners to question the essence of celebrity. We had the pleasure of interviewing GHØSTKID over Zoom video!"The biggest problem that art has nowadays is that it doesn't hurt anymore," says GHØSTKID vocalist and agent provocateur Sebastian "Sushi" Biesler. "Especially here in Germany, people are so afraid to push boundaries, to make art that makes you think and feel."By fall 2021, with the world shutdown seemingly over, Sushi wasn't content to let his creative yen languish at home in Germany."Even though we had made it through COVID, I was missing being able to play live, to really function as a band," says Sushi. "It didn't feel real to me. I became distanced from the music." A six-week decampment to Los Angeles became the creative fuel for GHØSTKID's next steps. The last vestiges of Hollywood sleaze, decaying glamour, personal temptation, and the still-vibrant creative vibes of the city became the frontman's "don't-look-before-you-leap" inspiration for the gestating HOLLYWOOD SUICIDE.The album is a perfect snapshot of an artist finding himself, crawling from his own personal wreckage against a crumbling, mythical Californian milieu. "That's why 'HOLLYWOOD SUICIDE' is the first track. If you really want to make it, you have to give a lot. You have to be willing to give up everything. It's kind of like suicide to the person that you've been when you become an artist."The matching, lush, and elaborate art adorning the album was created by Aly Wayne Gacy.We want to hear from you!
