Episode 19 - The Weight of Debt | CRUSHING THROGUH LIFE Podcast w/ Rob & Jim

Recorded on: May 12th, 2021 Today's Quote: “Be practical as well as generous in your ideals. Keep your eyes on the stars, but remember to keep your feet on the ground.” – Theodore Roosevelt Bonus Quote: "Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend." -Bruce Lee Synopsis: A very post Happy Mother's Day to all the lovely moms out there and all that you do for us! We've completed our backlog of episodes on YouTube! We've overcome a lot of tech issues with audio sync and have gained a lot of experience in the post-editing process. Rob completes his 100th workout this year. Rob talks about his new unorthodox mother's day tradition. Today we discuss the weight of debt and how much it can mentally affect your well-being. A very tough decision is made to work through it utilizing some great resources from Reddit and the Canadian Personal Finance community. Jim is excited to utilize his brand new mic which will be great for the pod and his streaming. We both look forward to a new exercise: skipping! ... or do we?  Follow us on our socials:  Linktree: https://linktr.ee/crushingthroughlife Anchor: https://anchor.fm/crushingthroughlife  Instagram: https://instagram.com/crushingthroughlife Twitter: https://twitter.com/crushinglifepod YouTube: https://youtube.com/channel/UC8xjMwwsJqj5f0DuhMN1f1g Thank you for listening! Recorded on: May 5th, 2021 Today's Quote: “A goal is not always meant to be reached, it often serves simply as something to aim at.” – Bruce Lee Synopsis: Rob stresses overworking very late after hours for work. He needs to update a very delicate piece of IT equipment. Failure is possible which leads to some unnecessary stress eating. We realize how much money is spent on our fast food purchases. Rob's father starts a microgreens business called Greens2U.ca which is doing very well. Jim discusses his new goals for this month. He's excited to be back into his app workouts and feeling great. Shout out to Rob's cousin Julian from Futurespace Collective (check him out on YouTube!) for suggesting a new mic for Jim to use.
