This episode is inspired by an article I submitted for on rewire.org, here is a link:https://www.rewire.org/work/turn-down-accepted-job-offer/What to do when you have an accepted an offer but you just  got a call from another company that you were really interested in interviewing with. Were you already in process with this company?Comparing opportunities - what are the pros / cons? Can you rank them? Top choice? Why did they call? Interview? Offer? Follow up? Was there a delay? Was there a reason for that delay?Have you started the new job? Like it? Not yet? What role will be the better long term best career choice? Some people may ask, can this be avoided? To support the show:Paypal:paypal.me/stephdennis13Anchor:https://anchor.fm/careertalkFor show notes go to:http://stephdennis13.com/category/careertalk/To work together:listentocareertalk.comFor the Google Survey:https://goo.gl/forms/PToleX38QgQ4EPaz1To connect:Instagram:@stephdennis13@careertalkpodcastFacebook:www.facebook.com/stephdennis13We are written, produced, hosted and edited by Stephanie DennisYou’re awesome!!Go be your amazing self today!!!--- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/careertalk/messageSupport this podcast: https://anchor.fm/careertalk/support

It's hard to say for sure whether or not someone will get a job. However we can chat about the signs your interview went well! Positive signals the interview went well (should have multiple of these) Recruiter or hiring manager re-aligns compensation with youThe company follows up with you before you follow up with them Asking when you'd be available to start The team (usually recruiting) genuinely wants to hear your feedback Company is trying to get you in for next steps ASAP Asking for references Explaining the offer approval process or background check details Asked about your interest in the job Asked if you have any other interviews or offers Team gives clarity of role, responsibilities and day to day You feel you're being sold to (company or role) Your interview runs late The person you followed up with actually responds to your email Basic wording (you will vs you would) Body language Intro to other team members Tour Towards the end of the interview conversation turns more casual The team sets clear expectations on when you should expect to hear back about next steps Interviewer ties your specific experience to how it could be helpful in the role Company offers to pay for flight for an interview The good bye (see you soon, when we talk again, etc) To support the show: Paypal: paypal.me/stephdennis13Anchor: https://anchor.fm/careertalkFor show notes go to:http://stephdennis13.com/category/careertalk/To work together: listentocareertalk.com For the Google Survey: https://goo.gl/forms/PToleX38QgQ4EPaz1To connect: Instagram: @stephdennis13 @careertalkpodcastFacebook:www.facebook.com/stephdennis13We are written, produced, hosted and edited by Stephanie DennisYou’re awesome!! Go be your amazing self today!!! --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app--- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/careertalk/messageSupport this podcast: https://anchor.fm/careertalk/support
