In this episode, I talk about the freeze response and how it helps is. Also, where collapse enters our body when it decides we’re in a very bad situation. I want you to start thinking of these trauma responses as gifts to us rather than a source of self judgment.
Whether we are in business for ourselves and/or work for others, how we look at our roles in our jobs can be redefined as we change.
In this episode, let’s talk about death and change. We already are aware of and/or use the tools of self regulation. They can and will serve a higher purpose for those around us, if we can allow ourselves to be in that role.
When we force something to happen, we’re operating from a sometimes blind, deaf and thoughtless place in our mind. Force doesn’t include our bodies in its impetus. In this episode, I talk about how we can move beyond force to ease.
What does it mean to love harder? How can we use what we already know about ourselves and our nervous systems to become less reactive and more emotionally resilient? Listen and find out.
A little bit at a time

A little bit at a time

I’ve noticed that many people yearn to win the lottery or inherit a lot of money. They seem to see this as an answer to their troubles. What it doesn’t do is help these folks form a healthy relationship with the money they already have and the little bit that often flows to them. The little bit never seems enough. In this episode, I talk about embracing the idea that a little bit is enough.

How to apologize

How to apologize

2024-06-1033:21

A good apology can go a long way to lend fences, continue our relationships with those we care about. Apologizing is also good for our health. In this episode, I talk about what makes an apology meaningful for the both parties.
In this episode, I cover what is underestimation of self and others, why it’s important to acknowledge being underestimated, what we would want to communicate our desire to be undervalued and practical steps to relish being underestimated.
I love me some words, how we use them and how much of ourselves we reveal when we do. I talk about what intention is, why we need to pay attention to what we and others say, some examples of unintentional word choices and what we may say instead. Lastly, how we can build intentional speaking skills.
Silence or pauses are truly where some magic can happen in every conversation. In this episode, I explore why silence is so effective, why we avoid silences, when and how to pause and when to coax the person if front of us out of silence.
Shedding the layers

Shedding the layers

Who is the “real” us and how do we get to be them? In this episode, I explore what shedding the layers may look like and what our reward is when we do.
Have to, should do, must do are on repeat in our brains. When we stop to think of why those phrases are such a part of our internal dialogue, we learn that those phrases are the underpinnings of our identity. Listen as I talk about how to become more aware of this type of conditioned response and how we can change it.
I’ve been looking more into the connection between how we manage our trauma responses with food. In this episode, I talk about some of the things I’ve found out about the vagus nerve and eating.
In this episode, I address some comments and observations about functional freeze episodes.

How do you know the level of desire a potential client has for what you offer? Let’s talk about OPM- other people’s money, different selling strategies and shelving our assumptions about what people can and cannot buy.
I assess whether to fire a client or not through awareness, accountability, communication and managing the aftermath. In this episode, I explore what those steps look like.
