Chemohawk Sessions

Dear Podience, Welcome to Chemohawk Sessions, an anthology series podcast. I'm a carbon-based lifeform who got, fought, conquered cancer; fled my droll career to air this passion project. I was restless as an office drone; my cancerous plight confirmed the cost of chasing an unfulfilling career. My first session: White-Collar, Black Belt, offers black belt mastery of white-collar survival through shared experiences, pointers and amusing confessions. I'm Falsetto Prophet, you're Podience; together, let's unwind the daily grind. - Falsetto *Intro/outro song Island Dream courtesy of Chris Haugen

Lecture 25: Faux Poet: Float like a Social Butterfly, Sting with Witty, Warm Words that Bite--How to Remain a Country Town Mouse with Keys to the City (Gracious Guest Lecture with Poetletariat)

Greetings Faux Poets and Writer Ghosts,She is published, she publishes, she photographs, she antiques, she is a main linchpin in a local and successful band. In meeting someone of her stature, it is encouraging sure, but it also forces me to look back at the last 20 years of my own life and reflect: Falsetto, what the fuck? Why did you settle for a simple undergraduate degree, why are you not yet published, why are your passions a meager third of the quantity of the Poetletariat? I am working on those answers."Here is to approaching well-intentioned strangers at a swanky bar, conversing with candor so that the conversation can take you both far, here is to allowing any prior, tender wounds to scar and recognizing that even the most modest and unassuming mammals can be a member of a local celebrity hybrid amalgamation of hard country music jug band, Celtic pink-grass, with today's guest, a Cackalacky convert star!"  Cheers my fellow poet Brianne!"I like to dabble in different things, but music is my first love. It connects to me in a way my side projects don't because it'sso personal. I write the words. Music is like my diary. It's my therapy." -Eve"I still dabble in different types of music, but I'm sticking to my Country roots." -Morgan WallenRemember: "It is only in the vast, black dark you just might glean a spark and use that illumination to add elation to the bleak, the dim, the stark." It is the human friction that makes the sparks.”--Jonah Lehrer"Here is to dressing to impress and committing to the capital A art form, to deviating from the predictable norm, to writing satisfying words that cold spells warm, weathering the writer's block storm, for there is, indeed, any port in a brainstorm and not just dropping your words in a linear flow, but attacking all of the audience's senses with a lyrical swarm!" Lecture 18: Faux Poet: Internal Infighting, External Righting: If Your Words can Make Them Feel, Write not to Harm, but Them Disarm--so They can Heal--How to Scrawl to Share Your Life and Save Theirs

Greetings Faux Poets!I am Faux Poe, your igniter host, you are my writer ghosts, welcome, wired, inspired, miles from retired writers to: Lecture 18: Faux Poet: Internal Infighting, External Righting: If Your Words can Make Them Feel, Write not to Harm, but Them Disarm--so They can Heal--How to Scrawl to Share Your Life and Save Theirs. When you write poetry, you may feel a slave to the emotional overseer, you may feel but a slight schooner in a malevolent maelstrom, just a passenger in worldly transport, but you are always the master, the captain, the driver. You are in control of what you write, how you write and how much time you spend perfecting that piece, mastering your message and conveying the crux of your telling, thorough takeaway. You are perennially offered the option to delve so deeply into your own mind, thoughts and the written reflections of the same that you doubt your ability to surface or become so demoralized that you question the value of the very thing you have pledged to perform: placing your pen to page or finger tips to type. Use your ledger of life experiences to educate, to entertain to floor and awaken, but do not harm yourself, or your reader in the process. Remember: "It is only in the vast, black dark you just might glean a spark and use that illumination to add elation to the bleak, the dim, the stark." Faux Poe OUT!(Procrastinated Statement)*Intro/outro song, Time to Spare, courtesy of the artist, An JoneFact Check Follow Up: Adverbs often fail to evoke strong emotional responses because they tend to "tell" rather than "show" how something happened. They modify verbs and adjectives, providing details about the manner or degree of an action or description, but without specific sensory details, readers may not fully connect with the emotion being conveyed.

Lecture 17: Faux Poet: Lending Fresh Insight-Putting Currency of your Poetry Where your Mouth is, Flowing to not Tell, but Show, Speak Too Soft, Nor Too Slow (Gracious Guest Lecture with Ghostwriter)

Greetings Faux Poets and Writer Ghosts, Here is the coveted mind behind the poem: "Being made new, not in your image", but here on this podcast, a friendship begins anew and this microphone talent matchup is the world fucking series, not some middle of the week scrimmage. Anyone can fucking die, but so too can they lie, their own freedom, silence, another's loyalty buy, and, whenthey face themselves at the end of the day, after the fray, perhaps they will sneak a peek at their own tears as they cry, which beckons new inspiration of the poetic and written persuasion. Such emotional poetry proves impactful forthe audience at freshly brewed, for Ghostwriter Snyder and for me.Here is a man with a future in public speaking and a focused attention span, who can read a prepared poem or shift to something unexpected when things don't go according to plan, who is well educated but keeps safe his own thoughts, who writes with precision, speaks with authority, commands the microphone and, thanks to Chemohawk Sessions today, is not having to read his work privately and silently and who definitely does not have to bask in the glow of brilliantly blinding poetry alone. It is an honor and a pleasure to be in the company of a college graduate, a bartender turned corporate shark and a writer who speaks crystal clearly so as to never be misunderstood and writes about topics so provocative, he is a reader's passion igniter!I am Faux Poe, your igniter host, you are my writer ghosts, welcome, wired, inspired, miles from retired writers to: Lecture 17: Faux Poet: Reading Aloud what you Write, Lending Fresh Insight--Putting Currency of your PoetryWhere your Mouth is, Properly Flowing to not Tell, but Show, Not Speak Too Soft, Nor Too Slow (Gracious Guest Lecture with Ghostwriter Snyder).Remember: "It is only in the vast, black dark you just might glean a spark and use that illumination to add elation to the bleak, the dim, the stark." Here is an Irish dude with a winning can do attitude, who attends open mic's with kindness, miles from rude, who swiftly downs a Jameson shot before delivering his poignant words of life, love, loss and all of the imponderables in-between, I have heard of a red faced Irish temper, but this Irishman seems to prefer benevolence and generous acts tobeing mean. He is the guy who has many candles burning and many wheels turning at any given time, but still, in the midst of his litany of activities, he still finds the time to be present, be animated and somehow, finds the time to rhyme.
