Lecture 25: Faux Poet: Float like a Social Butterfly, Sting with Witty, Warm Words that Bite--How to Remain a Country Town Mouse with Keys to the City (Gracious Guest Lecture with Poetletariat)
Description
Greetings Faux Poets and Writer Ghosts,
She is published, she publishes, she photographs, she antiques, she is a main linchpin in a local and successful band. In meeting someone of her stature, it is encouraging sure, but it also forces me to look back at the last 20 years of my own life and reflect: Falsetto, what the fuck? Why did you settle for a simple undergraduate degree, why are you not yet published, why are your passions a meager third of the quantity of the Poetletariat? I am working on those answers.
"Here is to approaching well-intentioned strangers at a swanky bar, conversing with candor so that the conversation can take you both far, here is to allowing any prior, tender wounds to scar and recognizing that even the most modest and unassuming mammals can be a member of a local celebrity hybrid amalgamation of hard country music jug band, Celtic pink-grass, with today's guest, a Cackalacky convert star!" Cheers my fellow poet Brianne!
"I like to dabble in different things, but music is my first love. It connects to me in a way my side projects don't because it'sso personal. I write the words. Music is like my diary. It's my therapy." -Eve
"I still dabble in different types of music, but I'm sticking to my Country roots." -Morgan Wallen
Remember: "It is only in the vast, black dark you just might glean a spark and use that illumination to add elation to the bleak, the dim, the stark."
