Each week, we’re exploring one of these powerful stories and what it means for our lives today.➡ This is our last parable:🪔 The Readiness of the Kingdom (Matthew 25:1–13)We close out our Secrets of the Kingdom series with Jesus’ parable of the Ten Virgins. The story paints a vivid picture of a wedding feast, bridesmaids waiting in the night, lamps burning, and a midnight cry: “Here is the Bridegroom!”The message is clear: the Kingdom is urgent. Readiness can’t be borrowed or delayed — it must be personal, daily, and urgent. Jesus may delay His coming, but when He arrives, it will be too late to scramble. The question for all of us is simple: Do I have oil in my lamp? Am I ready to meet Him?Join us as we end this series with a call to live awake, filled with the Spirit, and faithful until He comes. Each week, we gather to worship Jesus, open Scripture, and lean into what God is saying to us as a church. Each week, we’re exploring one of these powerful stories and what it means for our lives today.➡ This week, we had 2 parables:⚖️ The Reckoning of the Kingdom (Matthew 13:47–50)Jesus compared the Kingdom to a fishing net that gathers every kind of fish. At the end of the age, there will be a sorting — the righteous kept, the wicked cast away. It’s a sobering reminder that being caught in the net isn’t the same as being kept in the Kingdom. Our present response shapes our eternal destiny. The call is to trust Jesus fully, live faithfully, and be ready for the harvest.💰 The Investment of the Kingdom (Matthew 25:14–30)In the Parable of the Talents, a master entrusts his servants with immense wealth and expects them to multiply it. Jesus points to something greater than money: the priceless gift of His love, forgiveness, and salvation. Faithfulness is fruitfulness. We are called to receive His grace, invest it in others, and extend His love so that His Kingdom grows.Together these parables remind us: the Kingdom is weighty, eternal, and demands both accountability and action. What we do with God’s gifts today shapes what we will hear on that day: “Well done, good and faithful servant. Enter into the joy of your master.”Each week, we gather to worship Jesus, open Scripture, and lean into what God is saying to us as a church. Each week, we’re exploring one of these powerful stories and what it means for our lives today.➡ This week, we had 2 parables:🍽️ The Invitation of the Kingdom (Luke 14:15–24)Jesus tells the story of a great banquet where the invited guests make excuses and miss out. Instead, the master opens the doors wide to the poor, crippled, blind, and lame. The Kingdom welcomes the outsider — but not everyone says yes. The challenge is to never doubt your place at the table, and to be fully present when you sit down. “Everything is now ready.”🍇 The Responsibility of the Kingdom (Matthew 21:33–46)In the parable of the tenants, Jesus reminds us that what we do with God’s gifts determines what we receive. Kingdom authority is not ours to own — it’s entrusted to us. True accountability is revealed in the hidden moments, when it’s just us and Jesus. The call is to live with integrity and obedience, trusting that God is in control.Together these parables reveal the heartbeat of the Kingdom: you are invited in — and entrusted with much. Each week, we gather to worship Jesus, open Scripture, and lean into what God is saying to us as a church. God’s grace doesn’t operate on what we think is deserved — it’s bigger than our prejudice and greater than our works. Salvation is a gift, and when we understand that, we can receive His grace with humility, rejoice when others are blessed, and freely extend grace to all.💎The Value of the Kingdom  - Matthew 13:44–46, Jesus tells two short parables about treasure and a priceless pearl — revealing that the Kingdom of God is worth more than anything else we could ever possess. When we see the Kingdom clearly, we’ll give up everything to have it. It leads us to seek His Kingdom, live in His peace, and walk in community through practices like prayer, worship, forgiveness, and obedience. Each week, we gather to worship Jesus, open Scripture, and lean into what God is saying to us as a church. It starts small but spreads wide.🌾 The Conflict in the Kingdom — Wheat and weeds grow together—for now. God is patient, but justice is coming. These stories invite us to examine what’s growing in us.Are we letting the Kingdom work within us?Are we bearing fruit that lasts?Let’s be people who trust, grow, and shine in the field. The harvest is coming. Each week, we gather to worship Jesus, open Scripture, and lean into what God is saying to us as a church. To participate. And to ask boldly.God, give us INTIMACY.→ “Seek Me earnestly.” (John 15)God, give us IMPACT.→ “Believe Me fully.” (Mark 4: The Sower)God, give us INCREASE.→ “Share Me boldly.” (Mark 4: Mustard Seed)This message will stir your faith, challenge your assumptions, and remind you of what’s possible when we say yes to the invitation of Jesus.Whether you're part of the Citadel family or listening in from afar, we're so glad you're here. WELCOME TO CITADEL CHURCH ONLINE!We’re so glad you’re here! Whether you’re part of the Citadel family or exploring faith, we believe this message will encourage and challenge you.Right now, we’re in a series exploring God’s original apostolic intent—His heart to reach the nations through His people. This week, we’re looking at how the call to go isn’t just for a few, but for every follower of Jesus. From God’s promise to Abraham in Genesis 12, to Jesus’ words in Matthew’s Gospel, we see that mission flows from identity. Before Jesus sent anyone, the Father said, “This is My beloved Son.”We’re called to live from that same identity and to carry the good news of the Kingdom to our city and beyond.➡ Come discover how being sent is central to who we are—and how we live that out every day. Each week, we gather to worship Jesus, open Scripture, and lean into what God is saying to us as a church. A Great Lesson

WELCOME TO THE CITADEL CHURCH ONLINE!We are so excited to connect with you this week! We pray you are blessed and that you find a place to belong here in our community. This week, we close out our Jonah series with one of the Bible’s most surprising classrooms: a sulking prophet, a leafy plant, a hungry worm, and the blazing Middle Eastern sun.In Jonah 4:5-11, God confronts Jonah’s anger, prejudice, and misplaced compassion and teaches a lesson that still echoes into our own hearts today. Why did Jonah want grace for himself but wrath for Nineveh? How do our prejudices reveal where our hearts need the Gospel? What does it mean that Jesus “went outside the city” - not to condemn but to save?Jonah wanted to watch Nineveh burn. Jesus came to save it.Join us as we explore how God’s relentless compassion confronts our comfort, breaks our bitterness, and calls us to love those we’d least expect.“The book of Jonah ends with a question mark—because God is asking us: Will you love people who are different from you?”Listen now and discover why We Are Jonah. Each week, we gather to worship Jesus, open Scripture, and lean into what God is saying to us as a church. A Great Anger

A Great Anger

2025-06-2625:50

WELCOME TO THE CITADEL CHURCH ONLINE!We are so excited to connect with you this week! We pray you are blessed and that you find a place to belong here in our community. This week, Daniel Rivera continued our journey through the book of Jonah by stepping into one of the most surprising moments in the story. After witnessing one of the greatest revivals in Scripture, Jonah isn’t celebrating—he’s angry. Deeply angry. In Jonah 4:1–4, we see a prophet who obeyed outwardly but resented God inwardly. And yet, God meets Jonah with compassion and a piercing question: “Do you do well to be angry?”Daniel challenged us with honest questions that help surface what’s happening beneath our own frustration:Are there people we believe are beyond God’s mercy? Are we trying to control the outcome rather than surrender to God’s will? What are we so attached to that we’d rather hold onto anger than be transformed by grace?Where is God gently asking us the same question He asked Jonah? This message explores how anger can reveal what’s unresolved in us, how grace can confront our pride, and how God’s mercy is just as much for us as it is for the people we struggle to love. Each week, we gather to worship Jesus, open Scripture, and lean into what God is saying to us as a church. Whether you're part of the Citadel family or just checking things out, we’re so glad you're here. A Great City

A Great City

2025-06-1838:53

WELCOME TO THE CITADEL CHURCH ONLINE!We are so excited to connect with you this week! We pray you are blessed and that you find a place to belong here in our community. In A Great City, Craig unpacks one of the most powerful revivals in Scripture - when a wicked city and a reluctant prophet collide with the mercy of God. Jonah 3 reminds us that God doesn’t give up easily—on prophets or people. This message explores how God sees cities not for what they are, but for what they can become under His mercy. What if the “great city” in your life isn’t something to avoid - but a place God is calling you to love? The question is not, “Will the city change?” but “Will we allow God to change us first?”Revival doesn’t begin with a crowd; it begins with a surrendered heart.Your obedience—however reluctant, however messy—could be the spark that ignites transformation in someone else’s story. The city may be great in size or sin, but God’s mercy is greater still. Will you go where He sends you? Each week, we gather to worship Jesus, open Scripture, and lean into what God is saying to us as a church. A Great Prayer

2025-06-0435:08

WELCOME TO THE CITADEL CHURCH ONLINE!We are so excited to connect with you this week! We pray you are blessed and that you find a place to belong here in our community. In this message but Craig Herbert from our Jonah series, A Great Prayer (Jonah 1:17–2:10), we find Jonah not at the end—but at the beginning of God's mercy. From the belly of the fish, Jonah prays one of the most honest, raw, and surprising prayers in Scripture. We explore how God uses storms to save us, why our lowest moments can become holy ground, and how surrender reopens the conversation with God.If you’ve ever felt stuck, swallowed, or in the in-between—this message is for you.Because with God, rock bottom is never the end of the story. Each week, we gather to worship Jesus, open Scripture, and lean into what God is saying to us as a church. WELCOME TO THE CITADEL CHURCH ONLINE!We are so excited to connect with you this week! We pray you are blessed and that you find a place to belong here in our community. What if the storm you’re facing isn’t to destroy you—but to wake you up? In this message, Craig Herbert unpacks the stormy seas of Jonah 1:4–16, where disobedience meets divine disruption. Jonah runs, but God doesn’t let him go quietly. Sometimes grace comes like a tempest—loud, uncomfortable, and exactly what we need.Whether the storm is of your own making or someone else’s, God is still working in it. Because the truth is: disobedience shakes more than just your world… it rocks the whole boat. This isn’t just Jonah’s story—it’s ours too. Listen in and ask: Who’s in your boat? Each week, we gather to worship Jesus, open Scripture, and lean into what God is saying to us as a church. WELCOME TO THE CITADEL CHURCH ONLINE!We are so excited to connect with you this week! We pray you are blessed and that you find a place to belong here in our community. We all run—from pain, from purpose, from God’s voice. In this message, Taryn Herbert opens the book of Jonah with a striking truth: we don’t just read Jonah’s story—we live it.Jonah 1:1–3 shows us a clear call, a reluctant heart, and a man on the run. But even as Jonah heads for Tarshish, God’s grace is already in pursuit.Where are you running? What are you resisting? And how might God be inviting you back into His purpose today? Each week, we gather to worship Jesus, open Scripture, and lean into what God is saying to us as a church. We pray you are blessed and that you find a place to belong here in our community.Failure doesn’t have to be the end of your story. In this Easter message, Craig Herbert unpacks the lives of Judas and Peter—two followers of Jesus who both failed Him, but responded in radically different ways. One ran from grace. The other received it. The difference? Restoration. This message is a call to come back—not just to Jesus, but to purpose, identity, and hope. Because what Jesus touches, He restores. And what He restores, He gives purpose.📖 Matthew 26:14–16, 69–75 | Matthew 27:3–5 | John 21:15–19Listen in, and let grace have the final word. Each week, we gather to worship Jesus, open Scripture, and lean into what God is saying to us as a church.
