Who actually knows who they are in high school? Short answer, no one... But imagine being a WOC as well! It's hard enough being a teenager, but having to grow up with added racial and gender stereotypes on what you can or can't do as a WOC isn't any easier. In today's episode, Kelsey and Alina talk about just that, how to deal with stereotypes as WOC and how to navigate them. Alina opens up about a racial microaggression she dealt with earlier at her internship program and how she plans to respond. She explains how the model minority myth intended microaggression caused her to feel as if her passion for STEM was minimized and overlooked because "all "indians" go into medicine". Kelsey discusses her experience in high school and being degraded by her own teachers. This episode is packed with everyone from racial stereotypes to self-esteem based struggles, a good way to end season 2! Let us know your thoughts on this season and what topics you want to hear us discuss next!

Hey all! Join Zoe and Chloe for a chill and laid-back episode on the idea of "white spirituality". The two talk about the growing appropriation of certain religions like, Bhuddhism, Hinduism, and several Indigenous cultures! They discuss all things related to the ignorance surrounding things like sage burning and incense, two things that have extensive cultural context. This topic hasn't been spoken about a lot, as oftentimes many people (white people) aren't comfortable addressing the idea that their daily "yoga" session is rooted in Asian culture and their "sage burning" that "cleanses their minds" is a part of the Indigenous community's culture. With that being said, yes you can take part in these traditions, but also recognize that they ARE traditions! Stay aware! See y'all in the next one.

Hey y'all! Welcome to our second episode of this season where Tati, Alina, and Zoe discuss the recent (at the time - December 2020) case regarding Shia Labeouf and FKA Twigs relationship.
