In this episode, we dive into the important psychological process of shadow work — facing the hidden parts of ourselves that often remain unconscious. But we also explore this inner journey through the unique lens of the philosopher Saint Nicholas, who offers a fresh perspective on how the mind can break itself open. How can the mind that creates barriers also become the key to transformation? What can we learn by combining modern psychological insight with timeless philosophical wisdom?Join me as we uncover new ways to approach shadow work and step closer to our higher Self.
“Don’t fear death, but instead fear that you have not lived at all.” – Marcus AureliusThis quote hits at the heart of a quiet crisis:Most people don’t live — they merely exist. We wake, we work, we repeat — but rarely do we stop to ask: Am I truly alive? As Osho once said:“The question is not whether there is life after death. The question is whether you are alive before death.”This video explores how the contemplation of death — especially in the early stages of a spiritual path — can shake us awake. It’s in facing our mortality that we often begin to understand life’s true value. But there comes a turning point.Once the mind becomes powerful enough to influence reality — to turn thought into experience — focusing on death or fear can become harmful. At that point, what once awakened us could start to limit us.So we must evolve:From reflecting on death...To fully embracing life. This episode is about that inner shift — the delicate balance between awareness of the end, and the power to truly begin. Thanks to Lee Campbell from Unsplash for the beautiful background image.
To understand Mahatma Gandhi's quote, you have to consider the so called “big questions”. This "bigger picture" was always part of philosophy or philosophers, since ancient times. Thinking of the big Questions can lead to your life sense, your purpose and that is the “true development”. Furthermore, on that “path”, you meet the construct “enlightenment” which is actually the main goal, the fulfillment of humanity. Unfortunately, the last big philosopher who considered “the whole” was Hegel which is hundreds of years ago. So let’s now consider the bigger picture from new! there are several kinds of Emptiness. I described two in another episode. But the Consciousness experiences a new kind of Emptiness. This one is kind of a lethargic mood which may occur in the Dark Night of the Soul. The "Dark night" is a depression during the Consciousness Shift. I will explain it with the help of the author John of the Cross and from my own experience. once, i tried that. Not a good idea. Why and how then to calm the mind as Meditator, or someone during the consciousness shift?
Socrates is one of the most impressive philosophers. With him even a new era appeared. The view changed from nature to humanity. With his famous dialog method, he was actually not teaching. Or only very seldom. Most philosophers taught. But what he did was only asking questions. Sokrates designed his questions very individual so that his counterpart was able to get "access" to intuition. And through that, in best case, also to Higher Self. Good "answers" always come from there. Thanks to Clark Tibbs from Unsplash for the beautiful picture.
First find your true Self. After then you can engage somewhere. Don't care about groups too much. If you find your Self, you will figure out your "calling"? How to find what's "yours", you'll also learn in this episode. Thanks to lee-campbell from unsplash for the beautiful picture.
We have a very practical way of life nowadays because of human developing progress. E. g., some people use apps for Contemplation and that's not bad. But there is also a negative side of the coin with digital media. Phones may destroy and distract you from the Consciousness Shift! Learn about advantages and disadvantages of digital media in this episode. Thanks to sunguk-kim from unsplash for the beautiful picture.
The unconscious people strive in another “direction” then we do. That’s basically, why they can harm you. But they do not always "attack" you extra. They could even be kind to you. And they also mean it nice and not as fake. But still, on the spiritual level, unconsciously energies exchange. And their negative energies “bully” your divine energies. That’s what happens. Most Contemplating people feel this when they are aware about the spiritual "areas". But why are the unconscious people so unconscious? That is because, as Buddha said, from the “ignorance”. Ignorance in the sense of a “lack of knowledge” holds people unconscious. Most people have education. But almost all over the world you only learn analytical things like calculation. They don’t teach philosophical knowledge anymore. And that’s a big problem. Learn more in this episode of the Video-Podcast "Rebekka Resolves Consciousness". There' s that physical law which says: "Energy gets never lost" That is nice. But why then we lose our energy? Why especially meditators or people who Contemplate suffer so much when we meet unconscious people? This, even when we don't interact with them? What is there happening on the spiritual level with the energy? The noisy and busy world makes so tired on physical, mental and spiritual levels. Why? An over-busy and noisy world distracts many from the enlightenment “path”. It is important to consider the Consciousness Shift, bcz. this is the fulfillment of humans. The possibility for enlightenment is what distinguishes us from animals! But unfortunately, the more one develops the more sensitive he gets. And this dis-balance can cause several problems like energy losses, meditation blocks, or even the “dark night of the soul”, a depression or better to say melancholy which only occurs on the “way to God”. This episode deals with sudden energy losses, out of nothing, based on personal meetings with people as well as caused by the restless technical progress and other problems which occur with them, e. g. time pressure, social “pressure”, etc.
Why psychology basically doesn't help during the "shift"? Most psychological aspects don't fit to your "shift" in consciousness. There are just very few, e. g. depth psychology. But first let me name 3 examples of psychological items which are useless to focus on: Intelligence, knowledge acquisition and concentration.
