Art and design are two bastions of human culture full of self-importance and painful austerity. Join artists and designer Matthew Marshall and Nick Shekerjian as they clown their way through art theory, history, news, and personal tidings and ideas to present an honestly cheeky view into an industry disguised in lofty b.s.

The Oregon Oracle

In this episode the boys talk about two men who are very questionable but highly enigmatic: GJohnce and Damien Hirst. Nick gives David Lynch a brilliant film idea, "Beaverton", his first film about a "man in trouble". Matt loves to say "Damien Hirst is da vorst."

You Made the Grease, Eat the Grease

Scary, Sexy, Silly

With long-term toe disfigurement on the tippy top of Matt and Nick's heads, this episode explores a couple of "difficult" ideas swimming around in Nick's personal Halloween-ether and more of Matt's thoughts on current conservative interests in painting. Steak juice is best served on Picassos.

Loose Terms

Nick and Matt both get in tune with the Gay and discuss "Twinks for Trump" and Andre Mark (@andremarkpts) as subjects for projects. Klaus Biesenbach is at the center of some recent MOCA political drama and Matt finds it very curious, possibly inspiring as a story about a slippery shark dealing and wheeling in the art work. Kanye at the Atlanta stadium IS the Phantom of Ye-pera. Jerry Saltz is such a man-dude he doesn't need to respect art, it respects him.

Garbagio! Welcome to Desk Crit

Matt and Nick speak Italian, and discuss the arduous task of listening to music in the contemporary age via YouTube. Both boys get hot and bothered about Hunter Biden's foray into art and the possibility of conservative news media being the new harbinger of art criticism. Nick ponders the sad state of sound design in the collapsing dystopian world around him. Silent Hill 2 is a sound design BOP! Matt continues the spooky talk and discusses THE Goya, THE Bacon, THE REALEST BITCH Artemisia Gentileschi, and how spookiness rules the art world. "My Ass Hurts" is an intimate, high test- moment for Nick. Matt loves L.A., particularly when his friends abuse him.
