Description

Many of us believe that our genes doom us to disorders that run in our families. But as Dr. Lynch reveals in the Dirty Genes Podcast, YOU can influence your own genetic destiny.

Your genes don't determine your destiny. They determine your susceptibility.

There's no reason to biohack your way into health. That's inefficient, expensive, and unnecessary. Your body wants to be nurtured. Not hacked.

Instead of biohacking, learn how your genes work. Understand what makes them dirty, and then give them what they need so they can perform. So you can perform.

What are Dirty Genes?

A dirty gene is one that is unable to perform at its best. It's slacking. It's struggling. It's burdened.

You have 18,000 genes. Many of them are dirty right now. These dirty genes are causing you troubles every day (that you may not even be aware of!).

Each week, on the Dirty Genes Podcast, Dr. Lynch will show you how genes get dirty so you can clean yours up.

What can you expect from the Dirty Genes Podcast?

Authenticity.

Dr. Lynch is not one to mince words or dance around a subject. He gets right to the point.

Here are the different types of episodes you'll find on the Dirty Genes Podcast.

SNPits

Do you want to get healthy but find yourself strapped for time? These shorter episodes average only 10 to 15 minutes. Designed to help you apply what you're learning, each episode hones in on one specific topic. Dr. Lynch has repeatedly seen people succeed when they learn in frequent, shorter bursts. These relatable, bite-sized tidbits will give you the confidence you need to make targeted changes in your life. After all, it's the application of information that gets you results!

Hero Stories

Thousands of people worldwide have transformed their health using Dr. Lynch's education programs, genetic testing, and Seeking Health supplements. Hear their struggles, what worked for them, and what didn't. When did their 'switch' flip, and how did they start feeling great again? These real-life hero stories will inspire and motivate you. You’ll also hear from people who are still struggling. No matter what they've tried, they're still stuck. Listen along while Dr. Lynch guides them to overcome genetic health obstacles.

Expert Interviews

When someone truly impresses Dr. Lynch with their ability to teach, you'll find them here on the Dirty Genes Podcast.

Who is your host, Dr. Ben Lynch?

Simply put, a guy who wants you to have the health information you need to take care of yourself. He wants to prevent you from going to the hospital — and help you live a life of freedom. Health is freedom. You don't realize that until you lose it.

In terms of education, he received a Bachelor of Science in Cell and Molecular Biology from the University of Washington while rowing on the Husky Crew Team. After traveling around 50 countries, running his own business, and getting married, he received a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University. He maintains his license to practice as a primary care physician in the state of Washington.

Dr. Lynch is the author of Dirty Genes. This Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Washington Post, and Amazon best-selling book has been translated into multiple languages globally. If you love what you hear on the Dirty Genes Podcast, you'll want to pick up a copy of Dirty Genes, too!

Dr. Lynch lives in Kirkland, WA, with his three boys, Tasman, Mathew, and Theodor, and his beautiful wife of more than 20 years, Nadia. His family also lives with animal rescues: two cats, Hazel and Kiwi, and one pup, Victor.

When he's not working, you'll find Dr. Lynch kayaking, wake surfing, hiking, working in the yard, fixing something the kids broke, or traveling with his family.

Sudden irritability? Itchy skin randomly? Hot all the time? Red-faced big time after exercise? Sensitive to alcohol? Breathing difficulties? Most of these don't require a run to your doctor. If they do, your doctor just bandaids you with medications or stuff that doesn't work. What you're dealing with here is a lack of awareness by the medical establishment. Histamine Intolerance. Hmmm. Now that I won't reveal right away. Listen. Many people think that if they don't have the MTHFR polymorphism they can comfortably use folic acid. That is so wrong. There are other folate genes that get seriously messed up from folic acid. How easy is it to mess up your folate genes with folic acid? Tune into the Dirty Genes Podcast and find out. Hey, I guess I'm becoming a better marketing guy after all. Seriously though, if you're getting folic acid, it's time to stop. If you're trying to convince others to stop using folic acid but struggling to convince them, here's more ammo for you. You're a good friend for trying to help them. You gotta put your own oxygen mask on first, though. Do that by learning more. This episode will help you understand the WHY. PS - I'd love a subscribe, review and rating of my podcast if you haven't done so already. It helps others determine if I'm worth a listen or not.
Taking Folic Acid supplements is like using a tired horse drawing a 3-wheeled wagon as your primary method of transportation. You just don't do that. Retire the horse out to pasture. In this episode on the Dirty Genes Podcast: Folate vs. Folic Acid, I give you the facts on folic acid.  It's time you hear the truth. Here it is.

I know you probably have a ton of questions. Don’t panic. If NAC is indeed pulled from the marketplace, there are plenty of alternatives for you. What are they? You’ve heard the terms “gene” and “enzyme” before. Maybe you’ve even heard them used interchangeably. But do you know the difference between the two? Or know why it’s important to understand the difference? Once you have a better understanding of two- you’ll be able to see how they directly impact you and your health. You’ll be hearing me use these terms a lot, so it’s time we dive into what they actually mean. Putting up with chronic irritating symptoms is, well, irritating. It's tiring. Headaches, stuffy nose, moods shifting, focus failing, staring at the ceiling vs falling asleep. You hear your friends say, "You're so sensitive." or "Why are you so irritable all the time?" or "Come on! Smile already. You're such a grump all the time!" If they only knew that you wish you could step out of your funk. You can step out of your funk. The way you do that is looking at how you are wired. You can only see the outside of your body. Your hair, skin, nails, muscles, tummy. And you focus on these. What if you can actually look inside you and see why you are potentially more sensitive to being irritated? Why you are more susceptible to being gloomy. Why you seem to not be able to focus your entire life. Once you discover this, then you have the ability to improve it. It's not that you discover why you are struggling with these issues and leave it at that. No. You will have the ability and the tools to become the person you always wanted to be. Focused. Happy. More tolerant. Sleeping well. I've got something for you that will help- check out today's episode.   Curious about how you are wired? Order StrateGene today! When using StrateGene along with the book, Dirty Genes, you'll have two great tools to guide you.

Instead of settling for this and saying, "Oh, I just am a person with motion sickness.", empower yourself and ask, "Which dirty genes do I have that are contributing to my motion sickness?" There ya go. There are definitely dirty genes with this issue. I'm going to dial in on some big ones for you in this upcoming episode on the Dirty Genes Podcast. I, too, struggle with motion sickness. If I clean these genes before I go on a boat, long car ride, or fly, I'm good. Tune in to see how I have empowered myself to overcome motion sickness. Now it's your turn.
Have you been labeled with a health condition? At some point in your life, you will have this happen. We all will. The fact is, health conditions are just made up names by someone. What ultimately matters is knowing how to overcome your health condition. In order to do that, you need to know what is causing it. What's causing your health conditions are Dirty Genes. In this week's episode of the Dirty Genes Podcast, I'll share what you need to know about dirty genes. Once you know, you'll finally understand the WHY behind how you feel. More importantly, you'll know what steps you need to take once you have the right tools.

loved this episode! when you mentioned chlorine depleting glutathione i was jaw dropped. I never made the connection. we rented a 2nd home in Arizona last year that had a pool ( I'm a Seattle girl that loves pool butt doesn't own one). I really struggled with my hashimoto's last year ( I also have fluoroquinolone toxicity). what would be your recommendation for someone who loves to swim in a swimming pool. Our waters here in the Puget sound area are just too cold!

great podcast. I've known about the folic acid issue even before I encountered you. one thing I'd like to note is that your drum roll at the start of the podcast is ear splitting. your voice over is a very low volume but then the drums are extremely loud.
