The Jason R Flood Memorial Fund provides resources, education, and outlets for teens, young adults, and parents. A safe space and open forum to learn more about various mental health issues and suicide prevention.They organize and fund local music and athletic events to benefit local non-profit organizations with similar goals. Partner with mental health providers and organizations to help them build leadership and confidence in their young audience, allowing them to speak up and erase the stigma of mental health issues.The Jason R Flood Memorial Fund was created after the suicide of Jason Flood, a Pinkerton graduate. He was a high-functioning, bright student, athlete, and musician with undiagnosed depression. Pumpkin Wall Farm Animal Sanctuary

Pumpkin Wall Farm Animal Sanctuary specializes in Pet Assisted Therapy through their rescue work, including working hand in hand with therapists and their clients alongside the animals to achieve their therapy goals, foster and adopted children, home schooling programs, and children 13 to 18 who have been court ordered to do community service.  They also assist individuals of all ages who struggle with autism, ADHD, ODD, depression, PTSD, anxiety, bereavement, and more.  The resident animals, who consist mostly of rescue animals and a handful of selected animals for the program, aid in assisting humans with improving self-esteem, social skills, coping skills, and mental health.Today I speak with Brendena Fleming owner and operator. Webster House

Here we are 20 episodes in. Episode 20 features Webster House, located in Manchester NH, which has been providing a supportive place for those unable to live at home since 1884. Children between the ages of 8 & 18 come to the Webster House when it is in their best interest to live away from their home for a period of time. Webster House provides a substitute home for these children, offering a secure and structured environment with the primary goals of providing stability to a child’s life while rebuilding self-esteem, and confidence, and reestablishing and rebuilding family relationships, whenever possible.
