It has decided today to reject the recommendation to have a new law governing cats which would have seen all cats registered, desexed, and microchipped. A framework already exists for dogs, but the Government has turned down the recommendation saying there’s no scope... Meaning it can’t be bothered . The SPCA says we have a cat crisis and this will make it worse.
