And the Champion being the Champion. Flexibility and adaptability, one of Brad’s favourite sayings and boy has Max got that. The boys dive into the stresses and strains of the Performance Coaches role during multiple Red Flags and how the times schedule and day changes could have impacted on the drivers. They also dive into the FREE PHYSIO offering at EFPT at the moment and why people often fail at their rehab and recovery. It’s a good one!!
Brad and Matt have been busy! From GT cup testing, to Superbike testing to Triathlon they have covered a wide breadth of athletic endeavours this week! But still found time to jump on a pod and discuss the physically and mentally demanding Albert Park Circuit in Melbourne and the next part of their Padel Injury series - this time on Plantar Fascia pain, so if you are getting pain on the underside of your foot or heel then this is the one for you! They also give a great insight into the re-testing structure for motorsport athletes.
Motorsport is well and truly kicking off! The boys are here there and everywhere as they cover Formula Series, GT Cup for Porsche and McClaren Series, WEC Series, and British Superbikes this year. But they had time to stop over for a podcast and review last week's races and how the youngest British driver ever in F1 coped. They also continued their Padel injury series and tackled low back pain. Jam-packed episode!
Brad starts with an emotional recap of a big decision which shook the F1 world the Monday morning after the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Brad and Matt look back at Max Verstappen picking up his 3rd World Drivers Championship in a row. What it takes to maintain that consistency and deliver results week after week, session after session. They also look back at what happened in the Qatar Grand Prix with drivers not ending the race, ending up in hospital and generally really suffering in the Middle Eastern heat. And of course, they look ahead to a fun weekend in Austin with the track characteristics of the United States Grand Prix and what challenges lie ahead for drivers here.

Brad and Matt welcome you back after the Formula 1 summer break as training for Drivers begins again as we head into the second half of the season and the upcoming Grand Prix. They discuss what summer break training looks like, the free F1 summer programme on offer, how they assess and help people with injury and training programmes at Elite Formula Physio and Training, and the best exercise for everyone!
Brad and Matt discuss the happenings of the Hungarian Grand Prix and a new Red Bull Racing record! Then we look ahead to what is going to be a wet, wet Belgium Grand Prix and delve deep into why this track is an F1 driver's favourite circuit.
They then discuss the best ways to stay fit and healthy through the summer break, your summer holiday and what they and F1 drivers will be up to.
Brad and Matt take a look ahead to a jam-packed weekend full of racing with the Hungarian Grand Prix in Budapest, a track termed Monaco without the walls and what that has in store for the drivers from a physical, technical and psychological point of view.
