Hello everyone & welcome to another episode of empowerPOD. I finally had the words to sit down and discuss my recent race at Birmingham Hyrox. I honestly have been too exhausted and my brain has been moving at a million miles an hour to even sit down and reflect up until now.
I have tried to be as honest as possible about the race and the reality of what is required of you - it was hard!

In this week’s podcast episode, I’m joined by Michael Logue—former Marine, business owner, and Hyrox athlete.
Logie and I first connected while coaching together at F45, so it was amazing to catch up and hear about his journey since moving to Dubai, where he now runs a top-tier hybrid fitness gym, Athlete Fitness (@athletefitness.ae).
We dive deep into his time as a Marine, exploring how he built resilience and discipline through the challenges of training. We also chat about his experience with Hyrox and the obstacles he faced in his first race of the season, including the tough decision to pull out after the Sled Pull.

In todays episode I break down 5 tips for those of you wanting to get into running. This year I went from barely being able to do a 5km run (mainly because I never wanted to) to completing my first half marathon in 1:47.
