Imagine, 20 million Americans came together to show how much they love the Earth! And you know why April 22nd was picked for Earth Day? It's because it falls between spring break and final exams, so college students could join in too! Now, I'm not an environmental expert, but I do know that taking care of our planet is super important. In fact, I dream of having a future with solar panels, windmills, and a beautiful garden! I even compost to help reduce waste. Earth Day is a great time to start thinking about how we can take better care of our planet. You can start by picking up trash when you're outside. But I refuse to let my past define my future. I'm committed to healing generational wounds and learning how to be different. It's not an easy path, and it's filled with upsetting feelings and challenges, but just like any new habit or behavior change, it takes time.
