HIS SECRET PLACE

There is no condemnation for those in Christ. But we get chastised, and this purifies us. We can escape the chastisement of the Spirit if we follow Her counsel. When the counsel of God grows into a rebuke, it means you been rejecting it. Fasting is a voluntary purging of your heart, a way to put away your idols and carnal entanglements. God is our confidence, and in Him we trust. When we are overwhelmed, we don’t run to anything else but the Lord, because we are a people of God.

You fast in order to abstain from things that slow you down in your work with the spirit. Don’t wait for the day you’ll solve all your problems before you start seeking God, because such a day doesn’t exist. If you’re not growing, you’re stagnant. The more we pray, the more we grow and line up with the nature/will of God for us. You have to come to the realization that it’s what the spirit wants that matters, and not what you want. Your life should be a journey to becoming the image of Christ. Separate yourself from whatever is hindering you from becoming more like Christ. Ask the Holy Spirit to set your heart on fire form Him.

There is a battle between your spirit and flesh, a war between your divinity and humanity. There are certain depths in God we can’t access just by being His children, but rather by praying persistently. If you’re desperate to become more like the Father, your humanity will stand in the way. We must pray until humanity loses its hold on us.

It is important to hear the Holy Spirit directly because, the letter kills, while the spirit gives life. Trusting the Lord takes a lot of courage, and can be risky. Risks are what scare us away from trusting God. In other to trust God, you have to take away backup plans and alternative solutions. Without help from the Spirit, the fear of risks involved in trusting Her would overwhelm and trouble you. On the long run, trusting God will produce bliss, but on the short term, it produces undesirable experiences. When you avoid the troubles that come as a result of trusting God, you become stagnant in your faith. The Holy Spirit is with us to give us the power to embrace the risks and let go of the backups

It is best to wake up and pray before daybreak. In prayer, our primary focus shouldn’t be our problems/needs, it should be knowing the will of God for our lives. Prayer should be an opportunity to seek the mind of the Spirit. We miss out on the true importance of prayer if all we do is tell God our desires, ambitions, and needs. If it is the Holy Spirit leading us, She decides where go and what we pursue, not us. The more you understand what it means to be led by the Spirit, the less you plan and schedule. Submit your will and ambitions to the Holy Spirit, rather than imposing it on Her.

At each opportunity you have to test things, go ahead and test them. It takes a lot of courage to test whether or not things are true. One of your lifestyles should be that The Holy Spirit wakens you morning by morning to hear Her voice. You cannot hear the living word of God and not have your life changed. One of the best times to hear the voice God is in the early hours of the morning. Ask and trust The Holy Spirit each day to waken your ear to hear Her voice.

As a child of The Spirit, you are not supposed to suffer except the instance of you taking up your cross to follow Jesus, which is born out of love for Him. People suffer in life because of their own foolishness. Ignorance is when you don’t know, while foolishness is when you don’t know, but think you do. In your relationship with The Holy Spirit, focus on your personal metamorphosis and growth, and receive grace to forget about other people. Trying to fix a person will bring misery upon you. In our lives, our destinations and routes to it are fixed, but what determines the experience is our choices/free will. No one can resist the will of God. The Kingdom of God is a state where there is zero resistance to God’s will. When His grace is at work in you to do His will, your journey becomes blissful.

When you refuse to grow and develop mentally and spiritually, you are indirectly killing your leader, by draining him. As a leader, your goal shouldn’t be to keep spoon-feeding your people, but rather to equip them to be independent of you. Stay away from people that drain you. If you expect to always be dependent on a person, you are an enemy to their well being.

Our maker fully intended for our lives to be blissful. The Holy Spirit is our comforter, and is in our lives to make it comfortable. As a child of The Spirit, you don’t need to have pain to gain. Your logic and reasoning are not dependable. Most of the things you do are based on what seems right to you. If you keep making decisions based on common sense, your life becomes a struggle. When you allow The Holy Spirit to guide you, most times what She tells you to do may not make sense to you. Sufferings come from the foolish choices we make. Allowing The Holy Spirit guide you would bring bliss, and sweetness into your life.

One of the reasons children of God don’t grow in their faith is that there is a lot of learning and teachings going on without times to practice them or times to take risks. Knowledge is not of much use if you don’t apply it which is why we should embrace every moment we have to practice what we learn rather than shrink back to our comfort zone. Trusting The Lord involves risks and there is no risk in just learning and hearing. If you can’t trust The Spirit with little things, then you can’t trust Her with the big ones. Your soul is set free when desires and the burden of tomorrow are lifted from your heart. Trusting The Holy Spirit at each moment is a wonderful life to live, and whenever you trust The spirit, rest happens.

Trusting the Holy Spirit is not an easy thing to do. Without the help of the Spirit it is impossible to trust the Holy Spirit and rest in Her. Each time you feel stressed, it means you are still in control of your life because a life full of the Spirit is a graceful life. When you trust the Holy Spirit you can enter Her rest. If your life is not blissful and graceful, it means you have missed the way and you’re still in your own work and labour.

Everything is happening exactly the way God makes it happen. He makes everything work out according to His plan. There is nothing more left for us to do, except gratitude, wonder, and adoration.

This word is all about the Holy Spirit: Her love, her desires, her burdens. As you watch or listen to this, may She look upon you with mercy and draw you into Her Secret Place. Moments with the Holy Spirit is a blessing not a burden.
