There is no condemnation for those in Christ. But we get chastised, and this purifies us. We can escape the chastisement of the Spirit if we follow Her counsel. When the counsel of God grows into a rebuke, it means you been rejecting it.
Fasting is a voluntary purging of your heart, a way to put away your idols and carnal entanglements.
God is our confidence, and in Him we trust. When we are overwhelmed, we don’t run to anything else but the Lord, because we are a people of God.
