The Ugly Stepsister reframes the classic tale from the point of view of the villain, much like Wicked. But instead of Ariana Grande, this film is full of blood, maggots, vomit and cum. Honestly, I haven't seen Wicked so I can't say those things aren't in it. Brian and Steve watched the perfect horror movie for brainrotted, Draft Kings addicted, second screen young adults. Too bad they're old adults. Come for the soundtrack, stay for surprisingly well done brutality. Story and character motivation? Yeah they technically exist. Perhaps it's best we move on from the 80s.
