I have been thinking about my body a lot of late. What is in my control? What can I do in response to what is not in my control? How do I approach health? This episode shares a few of those thoughts.
Do you ever get frustrated about your seeming lack of progress? I do. In the midst of a recent pity party I was holding for myself, I suddenly realised how silly it would seem to the me of years ago who would be amazed at how far I had come in so many areas. It made me stop and reflect on the nature of long-term progress.
Making a cup of tea offered me an invitation to pause and be present. It was a beautiful reminder that I wanted to share with you too.
Ever found a phrase that summarises an abstract concept you've been carrying? This phrase, "festina lente", captured my attention recently and I share why in this episode.
The gentle approach I am taking with setting goals, and my word for the year.
My calendar is filling up fast. My brain is frequently swirling with items to add to my list. Fresh logistical challenges crop up each week. It’s that time of year when we are speeding towards the end of 2023, the end of school, and Christmas. I feel the tickles of overwhelm in my belly and I know I am not alone in that. Feeling the same? I share more in this episode. What comes after a season of disruption or transition? A season of perseverance and ordinary days. This has been a tougher adjustment than I anticipated, and I'm guessing I'm not the only one. I share some steps I am taking to lead myself well in these ordinary days.

The gift of limits is a theme that keeps coming up for me. I re-recorded some thoughts on the gift of limits that I originally shared on the podcast last year. This concept has been so helpful in my life when I remember to apply it! I am also celebrating 4 years since the first print copy of my book 'Stepping Up In Leadership' arrived. If you want to get your hands on a copy: In print- my website https://jokoepke.com/shop/ or other online book retailers ebook- your usual ebook retailer audiobook- most audiobook retailers- not on Audible unfortunately
I hold these concepts in a state of tension. Changes in routines and demands on my time and energy levels have thrown this into disorder again. I share how I am starting small in the area of rest once more. You can connect with me: Facebook: @jokoepke Instagram: @jokoepke tiktok: @jokoepke Website: jokoepke.com
The mental load of a time of transition can be significant. Learning a new job brings a lot of challenges on its own but it is the accompanying shifts to routines and rhythms that impact on mental load too. I share some approaches I am taking as I adjust my rhythms and routines. You can connect with me: Facebook: @jokoepke Instagram: @jokoepke Website: jokoepke.com
A season of transition brings up so many thoughts and emotions to process. We need self-compassion and intentional choices to navigate this season well. I am processing some of this outloud with you in this episode and share some questions I am asking myself.

Lou Everett and Sherri McManus join me for a great conversation about leading ourselves well at the start of a new year. We also talk a lot about being human and how we relate with other humans.
