New series me and my buddy Drazkor are getting into looking at the cards that change the way we play Keyforge. In this pilot episode of the new run, we will be looking at the Quixxle Stone and exploring its ability to slow the tempo of the game in favor of those who know how to harness its power!
Also, I introduce the List. A new format for those who want to scale the mountain and try their best at maintaining dominance!
WE talk about WC's First archon event and the surprises it showed. I bring along Bait and Switch from Team Reapout for the ride. Jason is a contributor and writer for The Shard of the Weak on Reapout and a good friend. Enjoy this as I am back to school and might be a bit but I won't disappear totally!

Thanks again for tuning in and I hope to bring you something spicy this week as we look into the Vault Tour results and give you something to think about before the next one states side. I also want to go over some of the scenarios that Nick Crompton has been purposing on the FB chat group to spark our thoughts on how to interpret rules. Hope to start some dialogue on this find me on my FB page or live real time discussion on Discord at my channel. I am thinking about having a set time and day to have a community forum to shape my next podcasts weekly so please join up and input ideas to me. Thanks again in advance for the listen and enjoy.

In this edition I broke down the differences of Brobnar CotA vs. AoA, and give some insight to how the change affected the landscape of the game.
Ep Notes to Follow:
Brobnar Analysis CotA/AoA
Brobnar now has 80 cards total. 24 of the cards are shared between both sets. These cards have become the core Identity of the Brobnar house.
There was 12 Raw Amber removed and 12 Raw Amber added so the Raw Amber counts stayed the same.
The 24 Cards that are shared are:
Artifacts: The Warchest, Screech Bomb, Pile of Skulls, Iron Obelisk, Gauntlet of Command (5 Total)
THE COMMON THREAD HERE IS BROBNAR WANTS TO FIGHT TO GET AMBER ADVANTAGES.
Upgrades: Phoenix Heart, and Blood of Titans (2)
THE COMMON THREAD IN THESE AGAIN ARE BOLSTERS TO THE BOARD AGGRESSIVE STATE OF BROBNAR
Actions: Tremor, Sound the Horns, Smith, Relentless Assault, Take that Smartypants, Lava Blast, Coward's End, Champion's Challenge,
Burn the Stockpiles, Blood Money, Barehanded (11)
THE COMMON THREAD IN THIS SET OF ACTIONS IS AMBER CONTROL AND FIGHT MECHANICS
Creatures: Tireless Crocrag, Rock Hurling Giant, Mugwump, King of the Crag, Ganger Cheiftain, Bilgum Avalanche (6)
ONLY SIX SURVIVED BUT ALL OF THEM ARE THE FIGHT MASTERS OF THE FIRST SET WITH SPECIFIC THINGS.
That means there were 28 cards that changed the core of what we first knew as Brobnar. The original core vs. the replacement:
Artifacts: CotA: Autocannon, Banner of Battle, Cannon, Mighty Javelin (4)
AoA: FlameThrower, Grump Buggy, Shard of Strength, Signal Fire (4)
Upgrades: CotA: Yo Mama's Mastery (1)

I lost Brooks in cyber space so I am alone this go, so might as well talk about something I have been defining from day 1, and hope that it benefits you on your search for the Holy Forge... er Grail of decks. Down Below I am Copy and Pasting my transcript for you guys in case you wanted notes this week. Hope you enjoy the cast and as always feedback welcome.
3 Part Deck Construction Evaluation with sub parts
1) Evaluate the tangible and quantifiable elements of a deck.
a) RAW amber: The Raw PIPs printed on each card.
Target per tier breakdown for me is 12 minimum, tier 2 = 15, tier 1 = 18 plus.
b) Amber control: any effect that manipulates the current state of the players amber pool.
Type one: Steal, and Loss affects
Type two: Capture, and Hinder, Gains
c) Board State: any effect that manipulates the current state of the board
Type one: Mass hard removal affects
Type two: Situational removal, and mass soft removal/stun affects
Type three: Soft Removal (Temporary delayed effects(1 turn stalls)
d) Key Cheats: Any card that cheats the key mechanic
Type one: Generates a key mid turn
Type two: Generates a direct key stall effect(Key denials, Additional Key Costs)
e) Deck Manipulation: Abilities that generate card draw or deny opponents cards
Type one: Multiple Cards per play or denial.
Type two: Archiving or denying archive ability
Type three: Single target draw or card denial
f) Artifact Control: Anything that controls an artifact
Type one: Hard removal
Type two: Soft removal that is reoccurring
Type three: Stealing an artifact, or stalling an artifact
Type four: Taxing affects on artifacts
2) The "IT" factor of the deck
The IT factor is the thing that makes the deck go, how do the three houses feed into a cohesive and effective strategy that
leads to a consolidated win condition with proper lines.
3) Piloting is the most important step. Play the deck and see how it feels to your intuitive play line thoughts and the strategy
that most fits your natural play instincts. This makes your game more fluid and reduces the chances of unintentional mistakes.
This is the best of ways to find your it deck and never sleep on a deck because of pure numbers as they can easily be misleading
because there are only so many pure mathematical things you can take into account and they can't accurately fully denote the values
of synergies and play lines.

VT chat and casual talk about the things that we saw this week in Keyforge mostly at the VT, discuss some of the lines of play and cards that highlighted the weekend. And ponder the effect of AOA vs COTA going into GENCON and how not having the Crucible online updated may be shaping the tournament.

Looking for top tens helps you understand things about a house. Sanctum made me realize it is consistent and it does pretty strong things so if it lines up it can be a beast. Enjoy!
Star Alliance is on the table and it was fun so fun we had to record it 3x! Anyhows little delayed but still the same old us.
House Review and some side banter as always with Drazkor
Chris stops by to talk about KOTE and some KFPL and the CKMN. Also we sidebar a bit into recent FB posts saying the game is dying. All opinions on that are my own and no reflection of anyone else but I had to get it off my mind. Wink might be explosive have to tune in and listen to find out. Trolls are welcome.
Top ten Untamed picks and some fun talk about Keyforge. Enjoy and Happy New Year!
Draz and I are back at it for the first new episode of the year. Happy New Year and what does the Shadows hold for our top ten looks?
Happy holidays to all and I hope 2021 is better than 2020 though that seems pretty low of a bar to set.
Disruption Dysfunction no Disrespect this house is one of Keyforge's most powerful and me and Drazkor take a look at our top ten choices in each house. It is always fun to reflect.
Is SAS good? Seems like a weighted question. Is there a way to use the data without being blinded by the SAS numbers? Drazkor and Jupiter talk about it and introduce a new game to the show called Devil's Advocate. Make sure to leave feedback and if you want to support us in making more content feel free to sponsor the show through Anchor.
