Hey Everyone hope your doing well, Thank You all for tuning in. In today’s episode I talk about Matthew 5:16 Jesus explains in two examples of how we as believers should be while in this world. We are described as salt of the world, second we are described as the light of the world. Jesus encourages us to let our works shine so that others will praise and give glory to our Heavenly Father. We are to help others so that the world we live in today will know that there is a God who is loving and kind. Also so that they too will get to know Him and so that others can be drawn to Him and hopefully will do the same. God wants to use you to change your world around you one life at a time! Hey Everyone Thanks for tuning in! In today’s devotional I am reading from Day 20 in a devotional entitled Favor. In today’s reading we learn that God’s Favor was given to His Son Jesus Christ but instead of high praise from the people he came to minister to, He was ridiculed, mocked, humiliated, abandoned and ultimately crucified. So He was executed for being innocent, the teachers of religious law, the high priest of that day had initiated secretly a way to execute the Son of God! Yes God had shown His only begotten Son Jesus Christ Favor but that Favor resulted in Him being crucified for all mankind. Some would say Jesus didn’t deserve this but this was the plan of God, so the question for us today is if you knew that the results of God’s Favor would be bad for you would you still want it? Maybe if it would result in God being glorified and if it would mean many people coming to Christ as a result. Something to really ponder and think about. Hello Everyone Thank You for tuning in! This is episode 17 of FAVOR a wonderful devotional I’ve been reading from the YouVersion Bible App. In this episode the theme is about integrity. The teachers of religious law and the Pharisees were questioning Jesus about things like whether to pay their taxes to Caesar or to pay to God. This discussion was very interesting because the motivation of these questions towards Jesus was to supposedly trick Him. We know that they could not trick Jesus but yet this was exactly what they thought they were doing. We learn in this dialogue that Jesus is the very Word of God as a matter of fact He is God in the flesh which stood among them. Jesus decided to engage with them in order to hopefully get them to think or hopefully get revelation about who He is. Tune in to this wonderful episode to see exactly how Jesus responds to the Pharisees and teachers of religious law and what can we also learn about integrity. Today’s reading is from Day 16 of a YouVersion Devotional entitled Favor the message is Compassion, notice how Jesus showed compassion for those who followed Him in order to be healed, there were many people in Jesus’s earthly ministry who were willing to walk for miles just to bring themselves and loved ones for just a touch of His miraculous healing power. These were desperate people who saw Jesus as someone who could take away their pain, Jesus literally had to stop and feed them because they would not eat unless they received His healing, today there are many people who are in the same type of torment, whether it be disease, a handicap, or lack of sight or hearing. We need to continue to pray for those around us who needs healing even today. Today’s devotional shows us how through Jesus we can boldly come to our Gracious God who is full of kindness and compassion. There are time where God doesn’t always award in His Kingdom position or status but servanthood and considering others above one’s self is the better position. We live in a world that so many achievements and status is looked upon in high regard, but consider what God has to say in the example of the parable He spoke of Matthew 20:1-16. In the end it’s God who will decide what and who is important, just be thankful that you and I apart of God’s glorious family and be thankful for God’s unmerited favor, love and grace! Hallelujah! In today’s reading we see that Jesus answers a very important question with a very important answer, “Of all the commandments which is most important?” We know Jesus knew the answer to this question but it is so important for us as children of God to know and to walk in a wonderful example to others through love, and mercy, it’s sometimes hard because our society is very challenging and evil, there are often times we can be hurt or offended by others. But remember always when we are hurt by others Christ was hurt far more greater and Christ while being on the cross prayed to the Father to forgive those who crucified Him and ridiculed and mocked Him to ultimately forgive them. The world we live in is so full of conflict people are so negative whether on social media, in our personal lives almost everywhere we go there is always something bad to talk about or someone is talking bad about someone. How do we as Christians respond in a positive way, or at least how do we create a peaceful alternative that results in a positive resolution? In Jesus’s day, people were always trying to test Him, always trying to find something wrong or accuse Him or His disciples of something. Take a listen to a situation where Jesus teaches us an example of how doing what is right according to the law in that time resulted in Him and His disciples avoiding a possible conflict situation. Some say that out of the heart the mouth speaks this means some are offended and hurt by the words we say especially if they come from a place in our heart that is not godly Jesus describes man sinful condition in the heart which is the soul of man as being wicked full of evil. In the latter part of today’s episode I discuss how we should draw closer to the Lord in order to be more like Him I believe God wants to shape us to be more like Him as we go through this life. The Bible tells us in James 2:14-20 how can we say we have faith when we are not doing anything to show that we do have faith. The Favor of God is connected to obedience which is also connected to us doing something or walking out in a real way that we operate in what we believe in. As we look at our world today many people operate in different ways mostly based on their own set of beliefs. In this episode I read from Day 10 of a devotional called FAVOR in this episode we learn about true devotion God desires us for to place Him first in our lives, not because He’s selfish because He knows what’s best for us and wants to lead us and guide us through this crazy journey we call life. Life can be unpredictable, chaotic, stressful and sometimes down right cruel and unforgiving we need to take time out of our busy schedules to seek the Lord and remember to make God first in your life not “a part” of your life, we cannot put God in a box and decide to take Him our whenever we want to or when it’s convenient for us. Our faith is not strong enough when we only use or access God whenever we want to and God will not be second place in our lives. He loves and wants the best for us always! God Bless You. It’s so important as we are now in the final days on earth that our pursuits are not just merely worldly but for the Kingdom of God. When you pass from this life and stand before God how will you feel you did when it comes to God purpose and plan for your life? It’s important to know that God has paid for us we are now His, we must seek Him and what His desire is for us in our lives so much more than ever. Jesus makes it very clear to His disciples that if this world hated Him then the world will hate you even more. The attachment to this world will make us ineffective to be witnesses for God’s Kingdom. Today are you praying for a loved one to come and make a decision to live for Jesus? Consider how we live our lives and what is important to us in this life and see if we have the power it takes for us to become the influence we need to be towards our family and friends and the world around us. In today’s episode I read from Matthew 8:14-15 Jesus heals Peter’s Mother-in-Law from a fever, after she is healed obviously feeling better she began serving. What is it that God has done for you that has caused you to began serving? Are we as believers doing all we can for the Kingdom of God? Are we distracted with things going on around us that we’re missing the bigger picture? Does something have your attention God teaches us in His Word to not allow the Worlds influence to sway us from the more important matter and that’s letting other know about Jesus in our lives and what He can do in theirs. God wants to use you in a powerful way even in the same way Jesus was being used in the Bible. Healing, casting out demons was not just for Jesus to do. It was for us to do as well. Let’s follow Jesus and be more obedient in our devotion to the Lord so that He can use us to impact the world around us.
