Here's a bonus clip from the 2011 ATHENA Leadership Award ceremony in Indian Wells, which gives a lot of insight into the life and career of Dr. Linda Miller Iger. She's eminent in the field with many important contributions to neuropsychology as a whole, but laypeople may not be familiar with her work. Consider this a quick five-minute rundown. From the ATHENA International website: "The ATHENA Leadership Award was inspired by the goddess of Greek mythology known for her strength, courage, wisdom and enlightenment - qualities embodied in the ATHENA Leadership Model. The Award is unique in both scope---local, national and international---and the ATHENA mission upon which it is based. The ATHENA Leadership Award is presented to a woman ---or man--- who is honored for professional excellence, community service and for actively assisting women in their attainment of professional excellence and leadership skills." We'll be back next week with the second part of our discussion on depression, and what you can do about it. http://www.athenainternational.org/athena-award-program/
