I share with you some perspectives of how to embrace all of you and your life in this moment so you can free yourself to make the best decisions moving forward this fall. The LATINA DOCS Journey coaching program is here to support you and get you the specific help you need to better manage your emotions and get to your personal and professional goals.  LATINA DOCS Journey Coaching Program

In this episode I share with you some reflections on a recent beach read book I took with me to Mexico, Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert. We all have some amount of martyr and trickster in us. The more you tap into your trickster or 'bandida' as my mom calls me, the lighter and more playful your life can be.  The LATINA DOCS Journey coaching program is also opening up for the fall very soon! This is a very special podcast as I bring my sister, Dr. Tess Lang, on as a guest!!  Tess Lang is Board Certified in Family Medicine with Obstetrics. She has practiced supporting women in their labor within birthing centers, hospitals, and their homes wherever they feel most comfortable. In addition to practicing obstetrics as a Family physician for years, she also has practiced hypnobirthing and plant-based nutrition during her own two vaginal deliveries.  One of her passions is in blending and balancing allopathic and natural management of pregnancy and preventative health.  Through her personal coaching business, BLENDED, she now provides mindset coaching for women feeling anxious about birth and who want to feel empowered before, during, and after pregnancy. To book a consultation call with her, visit her website:  https://tesslangmd.com/ I am also super grateful to her for sharing her personal and professional evolution while going through the LATINA DOCS Journey Coaching program.  Finally, we share how our collaboration of 'Clutter Solved' became a reality. Tess has a gift and passion for organization and decluttering her home. It mirrors my passion for decluttering my mind. By bringing these two components together, we created a 5-week introduction program to get your clutter solved. If you have been overwhelmed with your overcrowded closet, this may be the perfect thing for you. Did I mention it's just $97! We welcome you all into the program starting August 1st. In this episode, you'll get the chance to check in with where you are in your goals for the year. If you remember your goal made back in January, you'll get to see what data you have collected along the way and how committed you really where.  Did you keep trying and failing along the way, or did you decide to stop and "fail ahead of time" aka quiting.  We set minimum baseline goes within the context of being open to possibility in order to create a life and future that goes beyond what we even considered planning for ourselves. Be willing to surprise yourself! In this special episode we discuss how and why it is important to process emotions.   This is an especially hard time for many of us feeling the sadness, grief, anger, anguish and fear, among other emotions that come up when thinking about the tragedy mass shooting of 19 students and 2 teachers at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde Texas. Knowing and understanding your emotions is the first step in processing them. In this episode I explore how our thoughts intersect with the structures and systems around us.  We get to decide to be in the system, and we also have the option to do something completely different.  Recognize where you may be putting yourself in a box and accepting what is around you without questioning it.
Latinas!! I've been so immersed in the Spring Refresh we have been doing this past week that the podcast did not make it to my calendar. This bonus podcast is to share how you can continue and go deeper into the work with me 1:1 and in an intimate group setting with other Latina Docs. Listen to find out more. Doors close this Sunday May 1st, and next week is orientation week, so get in now! Learn More about LATINA DOCS Journey Spring 2022
Welcome back to the podcast! It's been a couple of weeks since the last one and a lot has happened since then! Instead of overwhelming you with all the details of the recent coaching mastermind I went to, I'm focusing on one topic today. Ask yourself what you are fighting for. What current reality that you are living is your comfort zone and what are you telling yourself you can't do.  Perfectionism and people pleasing can come up for many of us, so just take a moment to notice. Some of you may be thinking you don't have enough time for your dreams and goals. I want you to stop fighting for that reality. You can begin together with me in the FREE Spring Refresh that begins this Sunday, April 24th!  Register here: REGISTER
This podcast was inspired by a recent 1:1 coaching session in Latina Docs Coaching Journey. The shift this Latina physician had with her beliefs around time management was powerful. It completely changed her outlook and therefore her actions related to self-care and what she decides to put on her calendar.  This shift can happen for you too, if you open yourself up to the possiblity of it. There is so much you can create in your life when you breath life into your calendar and time managment system!
51. Stop Apologizing

51. Stop Apologizing

In this week's episode, I dive into having awareness of when you find your brain defaulting to apologizing. It can be a slippery slope of apologizing for being ourselves!  As always, I encourage you to get on the waitlist for future coaching programs! Latina Docs Waitlist
Our identity will need to shift in some ways towards our goals. If you start seeing results before your identity has caught up, your brain will feel uncomfortable. This discomfort can be explained in part by cognitive dissonance. Allowing yourself to take on your full idenity at work and home can also be challenging and uncomfortable if you haven't done it before. This is all normal and part of the process towards becoming the most authentic you! Check out my other podcast called 'Thriving Women In STEMM' with my co-host Dr. Brianne Daniels. This month's focus is on 'IDENTITY' and I'm sure you'll find it complimentary to today's podcast.  Thriving Women in STEMM Podcast As always, I encourage you to get on the waitlist for future coaching programs! Think back to the commitment you made to yourself at the beginning of 2022. We are at Feb 1st now -Lunar New Year! That can mean that it is a new opportunity to decide all over again to committ to your new habits and goals. What happened yesterday doesn’t have any impact on what you decide to do today. Visit Latinadocs.com to find out how you can work with me and join future group coaching programs.
Taking radical responsibility for the lived experience of your life is one of the most empowering things you can do.  Blaming others or other things for your life is throwing your power away. This work is not easy, but once you start deciding that you have a choice - always - you will start breathing easier and making choices that serve you. If you want additional support and guidance in this process, join the waitlist for future coaching programs! JOIN WAITLIST
46. When you "Lose it"

46. When you "Lose it"

2022-01-1520:16

Even with the best managed mind, there are moments when our brains take off without us. We can call these moments "losing it" or we can call them lessons and areas to look at more closely.  In today's episode, I share with you my very real world example of when I lost my mind for a hot second and how I look at that experience.
