where as a leader/authority does you draw tje line between micromanaging and discernment. at some point a level of discernment needs to be shunned and implied. and when push confess to shove, a good leader will stand up for those below them when questioned by higher up if said person is showing discernment.

using the dish washer example, assuming there was a level of miscommunication, you thought 1 thing was said, child heard something else. the Reagan is only a good as micromanaging. you need to know exactly what needs to be done as opposed to "check the dish washer" implying last out unload it and that task is assumed. if a child can't determine clean vs diet and the needed action, shouldn't that be an indication of awareness and critical thinking. where do you use that as a baseline?

not to take away from the episode, just want to throw out out there. there is a difference between a leader and a position of authority. just because you are in a position of authority does not make you a leader, you may just be an authority. an authority figure can become a leader, but they are not intertwined. A title in front of your name does not make you an authority on all aspects of what is below you. a leader will listen not pull rank. an authority will claim title.
