In this guided meditation, Louise invites the listener to let go of all ideas of what it means to meditate, of all concepts of an 'I' that is here meditating, of agendas and outcomes, and to allow your attention to drop fully into the present moment and just notice that you are aware.
On the level of form it goes up down, up down, good bad, negative positive, negative positive. It's always changing. But to discover the unchanging essence of who you are – which is unconditional love – is to discover freedom. Clip from the open Zoom meeting on November 21st. When you surrender to your True Self your physical vessel becomes a gateway for the divine to express itself creatively in form. What it means to live in Truth is to embody the qualities of this Divine Intelligence: compassion, gentleness, presence, peace and fierceness, and to live and express them moment to moment in your actions and words, while fearlessly taking action on your intuition and excitement. Louise shares a simple practice for opening the heart: bring your attention fully present into the NOW and focus on what is here to be grateful for in this moment. If you can't find anything to be grateful for right now then simply be grateful for your breath. Practice this as much as possible throughout the day, consciously thinking, speaking and feeling what you're grateful for and watch your heart blossom in Love! A circumstance, situation or experience has awakening an unprocessed, dormant emotion which has been held in the body. Usually if this is the case, the emotion that is felt is disproportionate to the situation and it also has a familiar feeling, often a feeling that was felt during childhood. What to do in this case:Recognise and acknowledge that an old wound has been activated. If possible remove yourself from the external trigger. Bring your attention fully present into the now.Don't give interest in any thought or mental story.Recognise yourself as the aware witness (pure consciousness perceiving).Very gently allow the body to consciously feel the uncomfortable sensations. If resistance arises, acknowledge it and simply notice it, including that too.2. The emotion that you are feeling is your internal guidance system communicating something to you, for example, my boundaries are being crossed / it isn't true for me to be here or doing this / a real danger is present. What to do in this case:Bring your attention fully present into the now.Don't give interest in any thought or mental story.Allow your body to deeply feel the emotion.Focus your attention on and as aware spaciousness (pure being).Observe the options for action that are available to you in the moment. While remaining present and embodied take action on the option which feels most aligned and true.Note: Sometimes both types of emotions are present at the same time. This makes it more challenging to discern which action is true to take because the pain body emotion can cloud reality. However, by following the guidance and practicing this teaching with consistency clarity will reveal itself more easily. This is a clip from the Toronto retreat on June 12th, 2025.Louise Kay holds group events and retreats online and around the world. For more details visit http://www.louisekay.net/

Register here: https://www.louisekay.net/zoom.html • Upcoming In-person Retreats:https://www.louisekay.net/retreats.htmlThe four different types of thoughts:1. The unconscious narrative of the ego: when this is identified with it causes unnecessary suffering. To be free from this suffering investigate who or what witnesses the narrative (clue - it's not a thought).2. Useful thoughts: this is what the mind is designed to do. Allows us to study science, learn languages, arrange appointments. All of this happens in the present moment and it is possible to use the mind as a tool while simultaneously recognizing one's true nature as pure awareness.3. Thoughts born from higher consciousness: when awakening happens consciousness infuses every aspect of one's being - the physical, energetic and also mental plains. On the mental level thoughts spontaneously appear which are aligned with higher consciousness. They are usually centered around wisdom, gratitude and appreciation.4. The mature aspect of the mind: during the awakening process the mind usually splits itself into a new part, the spiritual 'me'. This aspect of the mind understands the teachings on a mental level and is aligned with the heart's desire to awaken. It wants to help and supports the awakening process by spontaneously interjecting 'reminder' thoughts of the teachings.
