Summary
Is your team struggling with CRM? Are you struggling to achieve the level of collaboration needed when handling CRM? Do you want to know the steps on how to maximize the use of your CRM? Do you want to know the secrets that can guarantee you better team cooperation in sales?
Jeroen Courthout is the Co-Founder and CEO of Salesflare, an intelligent CRM built for small and medium businesses (SMBs) selling B2Bs, mostly popular with agencies and SaaS companies.
In this episode, Jeroen shares his ideas on how to simplify and make CRM easier for you and your team to handle. He also talks about how you can get your sales team to work and cooperate for better collaboration and maximize the use of CRM.
Check out these episode highlights:
01:19 - Jeroen’s ideal client: “It's small and medium-sized businesses selling B2B, mainly agencies and tech companies. It's a bit broader than SAS companies only, but it's a lot of agencies and quite some tech start-ups and tech companies.”
01:36 - Problem Jeroen helps solve: “Most of these companies have a CRM or they have a spreadsheet or they have something but they don't really use it, and that's because the software usually comes with outsized expectations of how they're going to fill out the software to make it work.”
02:23 - Typical symptoms that clients do before reaching out to Jeroen: “The symptoms are mostly symptoms of them not using the CRM. Its leads slipping through the cracks. It's, for me, number one, that's why most people start using a CRM.”
03:34 - Common mistakes that people make before they find Jeroen’s solution: “The main mistake is probably they look for a solution, which is good, but they don't look for a solution that will solve their problem. They just figured they need a system.”
05:04 - Jeroen’s Valuable Free Action (VFA): “find something they want to use. Secondly, make sure they understand what it does that's obvious. So training is usually aimed at making sure that the team knows how to use the system, like what functionality is there.”
06:06 - Jeroen’s Valuable Free Resource (VRF): Check out Jeroen’s Website: www.salesflare.com
07:21 - Q: How does our software solve the problem of people not using CRM? A: We made it very easy to use, which is obvious. Then the second thing is we automate most of the data input that you normally have to do in a CRM by pulling the data from all the places where it already is.
Tweetable Takeaways from this Episode:
“It's really important to find something that your salespeople want to use, so go with them on the lookout. Don't do it alone. Don't find something and then enforce it on them.” -Jeroen CourthoutClick To Tweet

Summary
Are you struggling to make a marketing video that everyone would want to watch?
Have you found yourself being bound to the “corporate” video template?
Do you want to know how you could make creative videos that could bring out the best in your business and promise you more views and clients?
Guy Bauer is the Founder and Creative Director of Umault, an agency that makes wildly creative B2B video marketing campaigns people actually want to watch.
In this episode, Guy shares the best and promising ways to make creative marketing videos that can guarantee more views and sales. He also talks about how you can avoid the typical and plain “corporate” video that everyone dreads to watch.
Check out these episode highlights:
01:20 - Guy’s ideal client: “Our ideal clients are marketers who work for B2B brands, and usually, these B2B brands sell complicated or hard-to-explain things like Cloud, AI, digital transformation, complicated financial products.”
01:50 - Problem Guy helps solve: “Our clients are B2B marketers, and they have increasing pressure to make a splash with their brand, especially as you know, competition proliferates. And there are big brands, you know, big behemoths like Google, Amazon, Microsoft, and every day they expand into more and more B2B services.”
03:08 - Typical symptoms that clients do before reaching out to Guy: “Our ideal clients are marketers who have that feeling that the stuff they're making isn't cutting the mustard, right? It's work that just feels corporate. It just doesn't feel exciting. They're not seeing the excitement in their prospects.”
04:32 - Common mistakes that people make before they find Guy’s solution: “The biggest one is that they're rushing into making the video, rather than stepping back and thinking about a strategy and a message and an idea. They think of all that stuff on the way to the production, on the way to the shoot.”
05:19 - Guy’s Valuable Free Action (VFA): “Stop rushing to make a video, which is so counterintuitive. If you want to make a video don't make a video yet.”
06:04 - Guy’s Valuable Free Resource (VFR): Check out Guy’s Free Guide: umault.com/theinvisible
06:51 - Q: What is video strategy? A: Video strategy is this, here's my metaphor, is that video is a delivery mechanism, just like how a missile works. So, a missile without a warhead, if you just lobbed a missile over to a target without a warhead, it would just hit the ground and do nothing. The missile is worthless without a warhead. The strategy is the warhead; the video is the missile.
Tweetable Takeaways from this Episode:
“The strategy is the warhead; the video is the missile. Don't go rushing into making an empty missile that just hits with a thud. You need to build the warhead.” -Guy BauerClick To Tweet

01:19 - Susan’s ideal client: “My ideal clients are nonfiction authors who are serious about the message and the value that they bring to the marketplace. So, people who have expertise who really want to get recognized as being an expert in their industry.”
01:51 - Problem Susan helps solve: “The problem is, literally, as you said in the introduction, that they're struggling to get known and paid for their expertise. They're not getting the recognition and the income that they deserve, and they are just- they don't know what to do.”
02:52 - Typical symptoms that clients do before reaching out to Susan: “Yes, the books are not selling. And they're not selling because they think they are- it's all about selling books, rather than selling the message and the value. And they often don't realize that so their concentration is just on selling books.”
03:51 - Common mistakes that people make before they find Susan’s solution: “first of all, realizing that their message isn't for everyone. They come to me and the first thing I say to them is, you know, "What do you want your book to do for you?" And it's like, "Get it out to everyone." And I'm like, "Hey, that's really difficult, not even the greatest Procter and Gambles of this world can do that."
05:51 - Susan’s Valuable Free Action (VFA): “Well, the step in the right direction is identifying the niche market, their real target. Who needs what they have to offer? And yes, it may be for everybody, but you can't sell to everybody.”
06:47 - Susan’s Valuable Free Resource (VFR): Check out Susan’s FREE Playbook: The Author to Authority Playbook: How to Get Recognized as an Expert in Your Industry
07:28 - Q: Why do I do what I do? A: Because it really upsets me to see authors who have something really valuable to add and not being able to share their message, drowning in the tsunami of books, titles, and authors, and their book dies and it shouldn't have to. So, I don't want that to happen.
Tweetable Takeaways from this Episode:

In this episode, Michael shares his ideas and techniques on how to make one of the best marketing strategies, known as referrals, work for you and your business. He also shares his insights on what to avoid and do in your business that can guarantee you more referrals and interaction from other people.
Check out these episode highlights:
01:36 - Michael’s ideal client: “The entrepreneur who has been de-prioritizing packaging their intellectual property. They're really brilliant. They know what they're doing, but they don't know how to explain it to other people.”
01:58 - Problem Michael helps solve: “Most of the time, the challenge they have is that people don't know how to talk about them when they're not there. So, I look at their business like a Broadway show, and I help them reframe it so that people would want to buy a ticket.”
02:43 - Typical symptoms that clients do before reaching out to Michael: “Yeah, so most common is people say, ‘Well, what do you do again? Can you explain that to me again? Can you sort of break that down for me again?’ Or, ‘Wow, you're so brilliant, and you're so amazing, but I just can't figure out how to explain you to my friends.’”
03:33 - Common mistakes that people make before they find Michael’s solution: “Most common is they try to just keep producing more content, coming up with more ideas and more things. It's just an overload, as opposed to looking at what they already have, and saying, 'How do I refine this?'"
04:09 - Michael’s Valuable Free Action (VFA): “The absolute best thing if you're falling into what I call the "echo chamber of the enlightened", where everybody in your industry gets you, but nobody else does, is to go to somebody outside of your industry, say whatever your pitch is, give them your breakdown, and then ask them to tell you in their own words, what you just said.”
05:18 - Michael’s Valuable Free Resource (VFR): Check out Michael’s Referability Rater: myreferabilityrater.com
05:53 - Q: What do most people get wrong about influence? A: Most people think influence is about persuasion, and true influence is when people do things without you asking them to. So, the best way to do that is to actually create something that makes them look good when they share it.
Tweetable Takeaways from this Episode:
“We spent a lot of time focusing on telling the story, not enough time focusing on teaching people how to retell the story.” -Michael RoderickClick To Tweet

02:25 - Problem Simon helps solve: “Their life is miserable. So, I was- in my first year- yeah, I was there. My first year of my own business, I started strategy sprints. We crushed it in the first year. We had some good traction from the market, good resonance because I was doing this for 17 years already, so we knew what we do.”
03:31 - Typical symptoms that clients do before reaching out to Simon: “This is the moment where the vicious cycle starts in sales because right now you are so much in the business that you don't have time to work on the business. You deliver your good work for your clients, and you're solving their problems”

Right now, they are jumping on the next shiny thing that is the clubhouse, and starting rooms on the clubhouse. This is the main common mistake is ‘shiny object syndrome’.”
05:57 - Simon’s Valuable Free Action (VFA): “The solution is to reduce the amount of projects that you have right now. You will only need four traction channels and you probably have already seven of them. So, you just need four of them, and this is where my invaluable free action comes in.”

Summary
Are you a business owner that is stuck with an event that needs legal assistance?
Have you been an entrepreneur for a long period of time but is still stagnant with the state of your business?
Do you manage your business on your own and you’re bothered by the countless possibilities of conflicts you’re not sure how to resolve?
Jeremy Streten is a successful entrepreneur and lawyer applying his passion and experience to help entrepreneurs succeed in their business so that they can live the life that they want to live.
He collaborates with lawyers from different countries – especially the US, UK, and Australia – as he works and writes books to help lawyers and business owners in dealing with the legal aspect of their businesses.
In this episode, Jeremy talks about the legal aspect of people’s businesses and the common mischief entrepreneurs experience as they manage work. Here, he shares his ideas on how to prevent a problem within your business and how helpful a legal advice would be in terms of knowing the legal aspect of what you do.
Check out these episode highlights:
1:18 – Jeremy’s ideal client: “My ideal clients for The Business Legal Lifecycle are actually other lawyers, because they can help their clients.”
2:18 – The nature of the problem Jeremy helps to solve: “So for the lawyer, we help find the blind spots that their clients don't know that they're missing, and that's what we do for the business owner client as well. We find the problems that would otherwise arise if they didn't get that advice.”
3:10 – Typical symptoms that clients do before reaching out to Jeremy: “So, for the lawyer, what we find is the lack of work, and they're constantly finding new clients. For the business owner, it's really just a lack of knowledge. It’s a lack of not knowing what's going to happen.”
4:23 – Jeremy’s Valuable Free Action (VFA): “So for the lawyer, I've got a very specific action they can take and that is to pick their top 10 clients. Who are the top 10 clients by revenue that they like working with? Pick up the phone and have a chat to them. If you're a business owner listening to this, pick up the phone and call your lawyer and have a chat to them about what's going on at your business and find out what other opportunities there might be for them to help you.”
5:51 – Jeremy’s Valuable Free Resource: Check out Jeremy’s website: www.jeremystreten.com/mti
7:16 – Q: What's the block that most lawyers have in getting that repeat work? A: "It's really because they're focused on doing the work. Most lawyers are great technicians – they're great at getting in there and doing the work. Their block is that they don't even spend time getting the work in, and they think ‘sales’ is a bad word – they think that they don't want to do that, but really, it’s necessary for their business."
Tweetable Takeaways from this Episode:
“Law is too reactive, we react to problems. And we want to change that to make it proactive so we can actually find the problems before they arrive.” -Jeremy StretenClick To Tweet

Summary
Do you want to learn how to increase your financial well-being and grow your business more? Do you want to know how to make an effective financial strategic plan?
Susie Carder has created $10 million dollar businesses and her genius is the ability to simplify complicated issues by creating simple proven systems that create dramatic growth. She’s helped over 100,000 entrepreneurs increase revenues by anywhere from 25% to over 3,000%.
In this episode, Susie shares how to quit running your business blind because you do not have the ROADMAP that will tell you exactly what you need to do to reach your revenue goals.
Check out these episode highlights:
01:54 - Susie’s ideal client: “My ideal client is an entrepreneur that loves to grow, that's gotten themselves to a certain spot and now they're ready to leverage it. They're out of answers themselves.”
02:07 - Problem Susie helps solve: “I'm the money honey. So what I know 88% of small businesses are not profitable, only 1.7% hit that million-dollar mark. So I make math fun, I make the money fun.”
03:01 - Typical symptoms that clients do before reaching out to Susie: “So what I find is business is a lot like this combination lock. Remember these from school, one little kick-off, and it won't open. And so you can have your sales, your marketing, your operations, your finance, but if it's not done in the right order, if it's not done in the right process, if we're not evaluating and analyzing what are the key performance indicators, you can have the right combination in the wrong order, and it's not going to open.”
04:04 - Common mistakes that people make before they find Susie’s solution: “Again, it goes back to the finances of the foundation. You're right. We build it on cement not sinking sand. With the clients that I've worked with, that's what I always start with. And what I realize is people either overspending, they're not following budgets, they get caught up in the excitement of "I made a million dollars", but they spent 1,000,005. Right?”
05:25 - Susie’s Valuable Free Action (VFA): “So the quickest way to cash, like everybody wants that, the quickest way to cash, is finding the right strategic partner. So I grew this brand with strategic partners, instead of me building clients one time, one at a time, one at a time, let me go find those partners that have my ideal client that I'm in complement with, not a competition with.”

Summary
Are you struggling with how to build your own brand? Are you planning on using an online logo generator for your brand?
Don’t settle with the generic instead go with something mesmeric. Be authentic with your brand and settle with something high-quality and world-class while paying less! First impressions matter, so grab their attention with your authenticity and the rest will follow.
Ross Kimbarovsky is the Founder and CEO of Crowdspring where 220,000+ creatives help businesses, startups, agencies, and non-profits with high-quality custom logos, web and graphic design, product design, and business names.
In this episode, Ross shares how thinking about your brand identity and investing in it is very crucial, especially for small businesses. He also shares his insights on what to do and what to avoid when building your own brand.
Check out these episode highlights:
01:28 - Ross’ ideal client: “Ideal client is a solopreneur or small business, one-to-nine employees looking for ways to level the playing field against bigger competitors.”
01:50 - Problem Ross helps solve: “Small businesses, entrepreneurs, startups have a tough time finding affordable high-quality design and finding people that can execute, do high-quality design. And so, Crowdspring helps entrepreneurs, those businesses, small agencies with everything from custom logo design, to website design and marketing materials design for every stage of their growing business.”
03:11 - Typical symptoms that clients do before reaching out to Brad: “Well, there are a number of things. First of all, marketing campaigns. Good marketing needs two things. Well, three things. Strategy, good copywriting, and good visual design. Marketing campaigns fail without any of those three things.”
05:08 - Common mistakes that people make before they find Ross’ solution: “I was going to say that this is a problem. When you under-invest in design in the beginning, it creates a poor foundation. So, everything you do later, you're making poor first impressions. Your marketing campaign suffers.”
06:02 - Ross’ Valuable Free Action (VFA): “Do a SWOT analysis. So, SWOT stands for strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats used by big businesses, great for small businesses. It's a way to evaluate what your strengths as a company and brand are, what your weaknesses are, and foremost, it will be about visual design and the way you message and communicate about your products.”
06:43 - Ross’ Valuable Free Resource (VFR): Check out Ross’ Blog on How to Build a Strong Brand Identity: crowdspring.com/blog/brand-identity
07:20 - Q: Why can't they wait a year, six months, a year and a half, to invest in design after they've launched and have a bit more money? A: You make first impressions when you're initially launching. And when you've been in business for a year, whether you like it or not, you've developed a brand. You've developed a visual brand identity. And if it's poor, if the foundation is poor, it's really difficult to turn around after a year. And now the cost is significant because you have an identity.
Tweetable Takeaways from this Episode:
“Cheap, and free design is never cheap or free. It costs you a lot more in the long term.” -Ross KimbarovskyClick To Tweet

Summary
Is your business slowly lacking connection with all the new changes brought by time? Do you want to know how you can engage more and increase your audience even with the change?
Welcoming the next generation of smart, young, and fresh talent is one of the greatest investments you can give to your business. With this change, you may be able to get a bigger audience, more connections, and a booming profit. Don’t be the boomer in the business industry and stay updated and fresh with the new-gen!
Jordan Levy is a serial education technology entrepreneur. He has started two EdTech companies that help higher-ed programs bridge the skills gap for their students through experiential learning.
In this episode, Jordan shares his insights on how you can avoid business fluctuation by recruiting the next generation, giving both an opportunity for your business to connect more given these changes, and the next generation for experiences and opportunities. He also adds the best way of recruiting.
Check out these episode highlights:
01:31 - Jordan’s ideal client: “We love working with companies that want to connect with that next generation and stay relevant forever. And typically, the folks that we work with are hiring managers, business unit leaders that want to recruit young talent, keep their interests coming in, and their new ideas coming in that will really benefit the future of that particular area of the organization.”
02:22 - Problem Jordan helps solve: “Most of the Fortune 500 companies from just 50 years ago are no longer Fortune 500 companies and the reason why is because they're not able to connect meaningfully. And it seems like it's very complicated to build programs that engage young professionals, or the employees or the interns. It's complicated.”
03:46 - Typical symptoms that clients do before reaching out to Jordan: “The symptoms are that they're growing and need to tap into the entry-level talent market, or that they're experiencing some turnover with some of the entry-level talents. The average is about every two and a half years, someone between the age of 16 and 34 is going to leave your organization. It's even less at the bottom of that out in that bracket.”
04:41 - Common mistakes people make before they find Jordan’s solution: “I think the most wasteful thing to do is just not do an internship program because you don't want to spend the effort on assembling one and making it a good experience. And so that's typically the case with most companies.”
05:42 - Jordan’s Valuable Free Action (VFA): “I think one thing that could take you in the right direction is if you don't want to work directly with us, just reach out to your local university and just say, "Hey, I have a business in the area. How can I support you and your students?"
06:29 - Jordan’s Valuable Free Resource (VFR): Check out Jordan’s Website: capsource.io
06:59 - Q: Why? A: Like, one of my favorites, Simon Sinek started with why. And so, you know, my experience as a student, going to a top tier institution, I went to Lehigh. I only had one internship when I graduated, and that internship was the single-handed, most important factor in defining my career because I did not like it.

Are you up for selling your business but couldn’t for lack of a repeatable sales system?
Is your personal life compromised for working too many hours, and you can’t hand off sales to anyone?
Do you get burned by people who try to fix things, over-promise but under-deliver?
Paul Higgins is a High Performing Business Mentor, podcaster, and published author who helps 7 Figure Business Owners with Sales & Teams so they can BUILD LIVE & GIVE. He has 27 years of experience in Sales & Marketing, finishing up an 18-year gig at The Coca-Cola Company as a Director.
In this episode, Paul shares how to build a business with a repeatable sales system so you can sell easily. He also talks about having a business that funds your lifestyle while allowing you to give to others.
Check out these episode highlights:
01:13 - Paul’s ideal client: “My ideal client is a service-based business owner, like you said, high six, early sevens, and a couple of particular ones that I normally work with outsourcing companies, consultants, and also with tech resellers.”
02:09 - The problem Paul helps solve: “he key thing is sales. So most of them have done exceptionally well to get to that high-six, seven figures, but it's predominantly relied upon them, sales, and they really haven't systemized it. So they leave the business. They can't get any more sales. They’re also relying upon referrals, which has been great up to now but they're very lumpy..”
02:57 - The symptoms people experience before they realize they need Paul’s expertise: “OMost of them have got an aspiration to sell their business. And as you know, it's very hard to sell your business if you don't have a repeatable sales system. So they hit the ceiling in their aspirations; they just can't get to their aspiration. The other is, they're working too many hours because they can’t hand off sales. So they just continue to do that. And that has an impact upon their personal life. The other thing is that they often get burned by people that say they're going to fix it. They just get burned a lot of money on agencies who over-promise and under-deliver.”
04:12 - The common mistakes people make when they're trying to solve that best-kept secret problem: “There are normally two big ones, and one is that they go and just hire a salesperson often a person that's probably got more experience and is used to a business where a lot of it is systemized. They come in; they find out there's hardly any systems, the owners are too busy to give them that information; it just turns into not a great situation, and they leave. And the other one is when they say, 'Hey, why don't I just bring someone in?' This person sounds great. And they can just make commission-only sales for me. So there's no risk to me; they take all the risk. And I don't know how many times someone's tried that. I'm yet to find someone where that's really worked.”
06:17 -Paul’s Valuable Free Action (VFA): The first one is, and it's a bit overused, but I think it's got relevance today, is a sales funnel. That's number one, two, is selling successfully on social, right? So, LinkedIn, massive B2B, but there are so many people that haven't been taught how to do it, and it is a skill to learn. But if you do learn that skill, you can get enormous success. The last one is referral partners. Even with LinkedIn, now you're trying to get individuals,

Check out these episode highlights:
01:13 - Brett’s ideal client: “My ideal clients are business owners or leaders who usually, they're selling their expertise. Often, they'll be a consultant or a coach, someone providing professional services, or, and increasingly over recent months and years, there might be an executive who's looking to expand, build their personal brand, and maybe start a portfolio career.”
01:42 - The problem Brett helps solve: “I help them stop being the best-kept secret. I help them stand out from the crowd and claim their authority in the marketplace.”
02:22 - The symptoms people experience before they realize they need Brett’s expertise: “One of the first symptoms is irregular cash flow. The second symptom is that they're having to compete on price or negotiate price with the clients. Third symptom is they're probably either getting no referrals or only getting what I call first-degree referrals. And then probably the fourth most important symptom is they find that they're often busy working on tasks that don't actually move the needle in the business.”
04:55 - The common mistakes people make when they're trying to solve that best-kept secret problem: “They don't think they have time to market themselves. The truth is, they don't actually need time, they need a system, they need a good process.”
06:18 - One Valuable Free Action (VFA) Brett recommends: “I would say, start a podcast. And now we'll put the emphasis on the word free there. People don't realize that you can actually start a podcast for absolutely no cost.”

07:22 - Q: Why are people so reluctant to promote themselves? A: We're driven by subconscious programming.

Summary
How do your prospects see you? Do they look at you as a credible expert...or do you look just like your competitors?
Prospects "look" at you before they hire you. If you "look" like everyone else, there's no reason for them to hire you, so you lose the sale.
Michael DeLon is the 'credibility creator'. He helps business professionals transform into recognized experts by helping them establish, market, and monetize their credibility.
In this episode, Michael shares his insights on how credibility is important in pre-conditioning prospects in the market. He also shares how understanding your prospects and seeing your authenticity can lead you to more promising prospects and business growth.
Check out these episode highlights:
01:29 - Michael’s ideal client: “My ideal client is a professional service provider. So, think financial advisor, attorney, chiropractor or coach, someone who sells through a consultative approach, and really wants to influence prospects to hire them before they ever have that first meeting.”
02:05 - Problem Michael helps solve: “So the problem we solve is that most business professionals look like all of their competition, right? They have a similar message; they have similar offerings. And from the prospect’s perspective, well, they all look the same! It's a lot like the "Where's Waldo?" puzzles, right? When your prospect doesn't have a compelling reason to choose you over your competition, they hire someone else, and you don't gain a client.”
03:25 - Typical symptoms that clients do before reaching out to Michael: “Yeah, well, they're losing sales that they know they should be making. they're having a lot of initial conversations with prospects, but they aren't closing the sale, and they're not sure why.”
04:34 - Common mistakes that people make before they find Michael’s solution: “They look for answers in all the wrong places. Okay, so when you think the answer to your problems out there in the marketplace, so a new social media platform, a new funnel, a new website, you're going to be disappointed, okay? Because the answer is found by looking into the mind of your prospect and understanding how they see you and when you can influence how they see you versus your competition, your business is going to grow.”
06:51 - Michael’s Valuable Free Action (VFA): “Just remember people buy who you are more or so than what you do, so discover your core story. Why do you do what you do? And tell that through all of your marketing.”

07:54 - Q: What's the biggest thing I've learned in marketing? A: The biggest thing I've learned in marketing is that the marketing battleground is not out there. It's in the mind of the prospect. And when you learn how to influence how people think about you, everything changes.

Do you find yourself putting off your most important business growth and scaling initiatives until “someday”?
Face it, there is no right time. There is no ‘someday when’.

02:32 - Kristin’s ideal client: “My ideal client is thought leaders in the personal and professional development space that they know what they want to be doing to grow and scale their business and they're just not doing it.”
03:07 - Problem Kristin helps solve: “What I help them with is to take consistent action regularly, and then that results in consistent revenue. So that's kind of what drives them, right?”
03:52 - Typical symptoms that clients do before reaching out to Kristin: “I think the biggest thing is, well, I mean, there is, like I said, that sort of roller coaster revenue, and then there is also like, you know, just knowing that you have the potential to be doing more and expanding your reach and touching more lives and that you're not doing it.”
05:03 - Common mistakes that people make before they find Kristin’s solution: “I think the biggest one is like going full bore, like, "I'm going to do this thing" and just like taking, and it's also kind of a bright, shiny object thing. So, like all or nothing or bright, shiny objects. So, going all the way like, okay, "So I want to increase my social media presence, so every day next week, I'm going to do you know, Facebook lives, and I'm going to do a post every day" and all of this, and then the next week, it's like, silence.”
06:20 - Kristin’s Valuable Free Action (VFA): “I would encourage you to ask yourself, "What am I resisting in my business?" and take, like 15 minutes to take action on it every day. So, first thing in the morning, every morning, before you open your email, take calls, all of it, ask yourself, "What am I resisting?" Take action.”

08:26 - Q: How would I know that, like, maybe I should go to that website or follow her or learn more about what she has to offer? A: The answer is if you just have one little inkling in the back of your mind that there's something that you want to be doing, that you've heard more than once than you actually might hear every day, this little voice that says, "I wish I was doing this." then I would love to either speak with you or just check out my free resources.

And I would write the goal in terms of the number of people that you need to serve and support, so money is a natural by-product of your main goal. So that's, you know, a typical marketing thing. They want more eyeballs on their free stuff, they want more eyeballs on their paid programs, so just more volume.”
03:09 - Common mistakes that people make before they find Laura’s solution: “some of the common mistakes are simply setting up an affiliate link and sending it out to people and thinking, "Oh, magic. Done." You're laughing cause- for a reason, probably. The other thing that they do is maybe spend a ton of money on Facebook ads and testing in that way when they could use partnerships instead, to grow without putting a bunch of money into it.”
03:47 - Laura’s Valuable Free Action (VFA): “I would make a list of everybody that you already know because oftentimes people will think, "Oh, well, I need to go find the person with the biggest audience. I don't know anybody yet." So, make a list of who are your current students that are already referring you? Who are your clients that love you? Who are your best business friends that could refer people to you? And start to build those relationships even deeper.”

05:18 - Q: Why I do what I do? A: For me, everything that I do is values-based. So, for me, not only does my ideal client have an amazing product that's getting people results, and they care about the people that are getting results.

01:54 - Problem Arvee helps solve: “Not having- not getting enough leads. Not getting that constant flow of potential clients or prospects. You need that constant flow. So, once they get the lead, then you can actually close and turn them into a client.”
02:33 - Typical symptoms that clients do before reaching out to Arvee: “Well, typically, a lot of business owners, because they can flap their job, they can pay- they can go out and speak and without getting trained, and they fail miserably, so they think speaking doesn't work. And it does work, but it works because of two things.”
02:48 - Common mistakes that people make before they find Arvee’s solution: “Number one, getting trained professionally and keeping up with the latest trends. Now we're finding ourselves doing virtual speaking, which is much different. The clothes in virtual speaking is a hundred percent different than it is when you speak live. And I'm going to add one more, number three, and that's consistency. Consistency is key.”

05:43 - Arvee’s Valuable Free Action (VFA): “So when you go get out there and speak if you really want to change lives, the living, then you need to speak about what you're passionate about, what you're knowledgeable about, and what other people care about. Now, if one of those three isn’t there, then it won't work.”
07:25 - Q: How important stories are in your speech? A: Stories are number one, to build rapport with your audience, to get your audience to know you, to open their hearts. Once you open their hearts, their pocketbooks will fly open. Stories act as invisible set selling and stories to spend time.

Summary
Are you struggling to get traffic to your website?
What does it take to build a great looking, high performing website that gets found in Google and generates leads and enquiries?
In this episode, Jon shares his insights on how a simple formula can help step-up your website. He also talks about how learning and gaining self-knowledge about digital marketing is crucial in improving your website, and in gaining traffic.
Check out these episode highlights:
01:45 - Jon’s ideal client: “An ideal client for us is an established business. Usually, they have five or more staff. They are turning over more than a million dollars in revenue.”
02:39 - Problem Jon helps solve: “There's three main problems that we're typically solving for clients on a consistent basis, and the first is they have website shame. So, their website looks horrible. Secondly, there's not enough traffic coming through to the website. And thirdly, it's not designed for conversion.”
03:54 - Typical symptoms that clients do before reaching out to Jon: “So typically, well in 15 years of doing this, we see a lot of people that are ultimately just lost. They feel lost, they don't know where to start, and they worry they’re going to stuff it up. So maybe they've had some failed attempts at building websites in the past they've been horribly burnt, and can they ever trust a website designer again?”
05:11 - Common mistakes that people make before they find Jon’s solution: “so the first one is just selecting the wrong partner. So, I already sort of spoken about this. There's good website designers out of the poor ones, and the barriers to entry to become a website designer are very low, all you need is a laptop and an internet connection, and you are now a website designer.”
06:34 - Jon’s Valuable Free Action (VFA): “There's no silver bullet, there is no quick fix to really get the results that you are destined for, really it's about getting educated. So, you have a duty and a responsibility as a business owner to get informed around what constitutes digital marketing, you know, the events of 2020, I mean, that every business owner needs to now be a technology expert, as well.”
07:25 - Brad’s Valuable Free Resource (VFR): Check out Jon’s Website: fivebyfive.com.au
08:21 - A: Consistency, like most things in life. Be regular and consistent. And given that over time, you will get amazing results.
