So renaming and seeing opportunity in each moment leaves us to use every thing we have for growth and a teaching with an opportunity to practice.
Rest gets a bad reputation,seems counter productive, and is often confused with laziness. However proper rest is essential for optimal performance in our body, brain, and for our mind. Taking at how to apply rest as a practice on a daily basis for peak performance in regards to the body, the brain and the mind. Being in a state of readiness is a standard of warrior living.
Our quality of life will never be greater than the causes we create in daily living. Warrior living is taking responsibility for all areas of living with attention, readiness and ability to respond with wisdom and compassion. This is done by what we practice in daily living. Taking a look at mind, body and how we interact with others is a starting point. I will introduce some practices I encourage you to try as each has been helpful for me. Self discipline is very much related to self compassion, yet setting the intention to be best equipped to be a benefit to others is essential to a place of peace.
Looking at how we create causes with actions often with no notice what effects they have, and the need to develop skillful actions for specific goals. Warrior living is promoted or limited by the way we take care of our space in every life. Being able to respond with peak performance and clarity is directly related to the standards we have in place on a daily basis. Keeping our home, work space and vehicle clean allows us to value those things and enjoy them. It keeps our minds clear of distraction, promotes creativity and allows for you to rest as well as prepared for action. Having the mindset that you can offer a clean space for others to find rest in is the way of a warrior. Not only do we benefit, but we create more for others as well. This is the continual bonus.
Having a proper fuel strategy keeps us in a state of readiness to respond with peak performance and mental accuracy. How we fuel our body effects our mind state as well as our body. Warriors dont run on little debbies. Having a goal of nutrient dense foods allows us to eliminate the choas of fad diets and counting calories. Creating causes for success starts with taking personal responsibility for how we take care of our basic needs. The way of a warrior is to be prepped to be a benefit to others.
