A spy story. A detective case. The mission was simple: to arrange the death of one man. The goal was to send a message to all Nazi fugitives around the world: "we can find you and we can kill you." This is the true story of an undercover mission to hunt down a savage Nazi murderer who helped Hitler’s forces kill 30,000 men, women, and children. The survivors gave him a name after the Holocaust: The Butcher of Latvia. The spies would travel halfway around the world to carry out the sentence. The mission wasn’t for one life. It was for 6 million. Listen to “Good Assassins: Hunting the Butcher” for free on the iHeartRadio App or wherever you get your podcasts. Also, can tell when he's interviewing an attractive woman bc his voice is different and flirtatious. Find it annoying. It's not terrible, just makes me roll my eyes.

Definitely interesting. Sometimes I want him to interview more people involved. I guess some declined. Seems pretty thorough overall.

Don’t google her name and read the Wikipedia page about her or you will not need to listen to this podcast. I found out through experience. Oh well.

I am not bragging. But I did completely disappear at age 11 until age 16 with $60., a roll of toilet paper, & a can of tuna. I was fortunate enough to find ID with said $60. and worked under a different name. Many other young girls in similar situations as I was, weren't as fortunate because monsters are real and they are everywhere.

"safer at Lesbian bars than Hetero Bars" Assumptions like that are why you havent found her. Theres plenty of examples showing Women to be just as Violent as Men, Most Homicides in Healthcare are commited by Women and Sneha herself was/is a criminal who communicated threats.

This whole podcast has been replaced by Missing in Alaska. Someone messed up somewhere. Probably Castbox. This app is horrible.

Seems like not only the detective, but a majority of this podcast is contradictory. A bit annoying to listen too. The mixing up of names and times make it for a sloppy podcast.

I don't understand the hate, I found him credible and honest, to the best of his recollection. He seemed to follow his training and his gut. we don't have to agree with every one of his conclusions to still think he did his job to the best if his ability and allowed by supervisors.

This guy contradicted himself so many times. I would not want him to be my detective if I went missing.

Just listening to the audio of the attacks gives me chills like nothing else. I can't imagine the terror of being there and experiencing that in person.

How can I report this podcast for HORRIBLE inaccurate journalism? This is so uncomfortable to listen to. My families history in Alaska goes back to 1949. We founded the first African American Southern Baptist church in Alaska. my grandmothers best Sunday hats are on display I the Anchorage Museum every Easter weekend. This podcast is so uncomfortable to listen to.

sorry for the second comment but something I thought of is towards the beginning of the episode Peggy was called by the president if all this was true then she would have had prior knowledge of the bomb being on the plane if we could get some voice analyzers to analyze her voice just see how much stress was I. her voice I'm kind of surprised that that sound bite was not played a couple times during this podcast I myself found her voice and wording kind of odd and I kind of think she rushed the President Nixon off the phone what are you guys think about having her voice analyzed
