You don't need a perfect plan. You need the right kind of discomfort. In this week's audio recap of the vlog, I'm sharing a mindset shift I never thought I'd say out loud: not all drama is bad. In fact, a little bit of chaos might be exactly what you need to grow. Launching the vlog pushed me out of my comfort zone, and trust me, it was messy. But it also gave me clarity. There's a difference between the drama that drains you… and the drama that stretches you. This episode is a reminder that some goals come wrapped in discomfort but if it's the right kind, it'll make you proud of how you grow, not just what you achieve. Whether you're starting something new or second-guessing your next step, this 10-minute episode is your sign to keep going. In this episode: Why not all discomfort is bad and how to tell the difference The kind of “drama” that's actually useful What resistance really means (and when to listen to it) A behind-the-scenes moment from launching the vlog How to grow without stomping over yourself or others along the way The post-it note on my wall that's changing everything Links mentioned: Watch the full vlog on YouTube: Click here to watch Ready to change? Ever found yourself stuck in the space between “I should do it” and “I don't want to”? That middle ground where you're not working, but not truly resting either is where guilt festers. And it's more exhausting than just doing the damn thing. In this episode, I share a personal story from a recent weekend where I thought I was resting, but really, I was drowning in guilt. I break down what's actually going on when we delay action, why indecision is so draining, and how to use tools like the Dread Sprint and The Gritty Minute to get unstuck and feel more like yourself again. You'll learn: Why rest without peace isn't rest, it's self-abandonment How to spot the energy drain of indecision What a “dread sprint” is (and why it works) The power of starting with just one gritty minute Why your identity, not your schedule is what drives follow-through Simple thought shifts to rebuild your self-trustThis one is mindset gold. If you've ever said, “I don't have time,” but secretly feel more tired not doing the thing… you're going to feel seen. Time for action: Want help turning guilt into action? You're not lazy. You're not unmotivated. And you definitely don't need another productivity hack that adds to your load. If you're struggling to follow through, the real reason might be simpler and deeper than you think: You're avoiding an emotion. In this episode, I break down the truth most people never realise: it's not the task that's hard, it's the feeling it brings up. And that discomfort? It usually only lasts about 90 seconds. But most people let it stop them for 90 days… or 90 months. What We Cover: - The surprising reason you're avoiding your goals- Why emotions, not laziness are the real blocker- The science behind the 90-second emotional cycle- How to feel a feeling and still take action- Why “avoiding discomfort” costs you way more than feeling it ever will This Is For You If You've Ever Said: “I don't feel like it.” “I'll do it later.” “I just need to get in the right headspace.” It's not about headspace. It's about learning how to sit with a feeling, and keep moving anyway. Powerful Thought to Take With You: “I can feel anything for 90 seconds” Want Support? Have you ever found yourself doing more personal development… only to feel worse? You're journaling, unpacking, “doing the work”, but instead of feeling clearer, you feel stuck in a spiral of self-analysis. Sound familiar? In this episode, I talk about the trap that so many high-achievers fall into: thinking personal growth is about fixing yourself, healing everything, or figuring it all out before you're allowed to move forward. But that's not it. Personal development is about direction, not perfection. This one's real, reflective, and full of clarity if you've been spinning in your own mind. What We Cover: Why personal growth can feel heavier the more you do it How “waiting until you've healed” can actually keep you stuck The difference between healing and progressing Why decisions move you forward faster than insight ever could What to focus on instead when you're caught in a fix-it spiral Key Takeaways: ✅ You are not a project ✅ You don't need to be fully healed to build something new ✅ Personal growth is meant to support your life, not overtake it ✅ Decisions, not breakthroughs, are what create momentum Listen To This If You've Been Thinking: “I've done so much work on myself… why am I still stuck?” “There must be something else wrong with me I haven't uncovered yet.” “I can't move forward until I figure this out.” Want Support? Did you know that 92% of people don't achieve the goals they set? That stat can feel discouraging, until you understand why it happens. In this episode, I'm diving into a game-changing mindset shift: the difference between decision fatigue (constantly rethinking your goals) and decision authority (committing and following through). If you've ever found yourself starting strong and then slipping into excuses, overthinking, or “maybe this isn't the right time,” this episode is your wake-up call. What We Cover: The biggest reason most goals fail (hint: it's not lack of motivation) What decision fatigue looks like in real life Why your brain tries to talk you out of things you've already committed to How to choose grounded commitment over emotional storytelling What it really takes to follow through on the things that matter Key Takeaways: ✅ “I've already decided. Now it's time to follow through.” ✅ Your goals don't require perfection, they require consistency ✅ Quitting often sounds wise but is usually fear dressed up in logic ✅ Your brain will always offer you a way out… you don't have to take it Actionable Insight: Start catching the moment where you want to quit or “pause” your goal. Instead, say to yourself: “I've already decided. Now it's time to follow through.” Then ask: What's the next smallest step I can take today? Ever find yourself thinking, “If they'd just do this, their life would be so much better…” We've all done it, whether it's about our partner, our kids, our friends, or a stranger on Instagram. But here's the truth: trying to fix someone else's life (even with good intentions) creates unnecessary drama, drains your energy, and distracts you from your own growth. In this episode, we're unpacking how to shift from fixing others to focusing on yourself and how this one change can create more calm, more clarity, and a whole lot less drama. What We Cover: Why offering advice without consent rarely lands well The sneaky ways “helping” turns into controlling How trying to change others is often a distraction from your own life Why awareness is always the first step to change How to let go of gossip, judgment, and unsolicited “fixing” energy Key Takeaways: ✅ You're not bad for wanting to help, but unsolicited advice rarely helps ✅ Trying to control others distracts you from your own growth ✅ Peace comes from focusing on what's in your control…you ✅ Self-responsibility > judgment, every time Actionable Insight: The next time you feel the urge to “help” someone who hasn't asked for it, pause. Ask: Am I offering advice, or am I trying to fix? Then turn the mirror around: What can I learn from this moment about myself? This episode is the proof that it is. This week I'm sharing something personal: my DISC profile results from 2019 compared to now in 2025 and the growth is undeniable. From people-pleasing and avoidance to precision, structure, and intentional follow-through, this transformation is real… and measurable. Even if your growth isn't showing up in obvious ways just yet, I promise it's happening. This episode will help you see the power of small, consistent change, and why your identity is allowed to evolve. What We Cover: What the DISC profile is and why it's helpful for tracking growth My transformation from people-pleasing coach to focused formalist Why structure used to feel restrictive and now it sets me free How identity work, grounded commitment, and the proof jar helped me change Tangible ways to measure your own growth (even without a personality test) Key Takeaways: ✅ You are not fixed you're always evolving ✅ Change happens gradually until suddenly you wake up and realize you're different ✅ Your journal, your metrics, your habits…they are all proof ✅ Your nervous system, personality, or past behavior does not define your future Actionable Insight: Think back to where you were 3–5 years ago. What were you thinking, doing, struggling with? What do you now do with ease that once felt impossible? Write it down. Or take a personality tool like the DISC and compare it to an older version of yourself you'll be amazed at what you find. Have you ever said, “Life just got in the way”? You had great intentions, a solid plan… and then a sick kid, a messy schedule, or your own exhaustion kicked in. Suddenly, you're behind again and feeling like a failure. This week's episode is your reminder that your goals and your life aren't separate. Your life is not the problem, it's the environment in which your goals will be achieved. I'm breaking down why this phrase is secretly stealing your power, how to reframe it, and how to move forward without needing perfect conditions. What We Cover: Why “life got in the way” is a sneaky excuse that disconnects you from your goals How to reframe the phrase to keep your power and momentum My own recent example of how I caught myself saying this, and shifted gears Tangible strategies to adjust, recommit, and follow through (even when life gets messy) Key Takeaways: ✅ You don't need a perfect week to make progress ✅ Your goals must fit within your life, not outside of it ✅ You are allowed to adjust the plan without abandoning it Try These Practices: Catch the phrase when you say, “life got in the way.” Tell yourself the truth about what happened and recommit. Adjust instead of abandon- ask: What's the smallest step I can take today? Decide again - choose your goal with grounded commitment. What happens when you stop spending money on non-essentials for 90 days? In this episode, I share my honest evaluation of my 3-month no spend challenge...what worked, what didn't, and how it changed me (for the better). If you've ever wanted to feel more in control of your money, your emotions, or your home environment, this episode will inspire you to try your own version of a no-spend goal. It's not about deprivation, it's about intentionality, clarity, and self-trust. What We Cover: • Why I set a “no spend” goal and it had nothing to do with scarcity • The surprising benefits (like more mental space and self-trust) • How I handled temptation and desire • What I actually bought and why I don't regret it • Tips to set up your own no spend challenge Key Takeaways: • Simplicity = freedom • The fewer decisions you make about stuff, the more energy you have for what matters • You can feel desire without always acting on it • The real power is in keeping promises to yourself My System: • One goal: No spending on non-essentials for 3 months • Daily tracking using a simple spreadsheet • Clear boundaries around what “essential” meant to me • A powerful evaluation process: What worked, what didn't, and what I'd do differently An Invitation: Ready to build better habits, improve your self-trust, and follow through on your goals with less overwhelm? Ever had an unsolicited opinion throw you off track? You're working toward a goal, making progress, and then - boom - someone shares their thoughts, and suddenly, you're questioning everything. This episode is your reminder: your opinion of yourself matters more than anyone else's. I'm diving into how to recognise the difference between constructive feedback and unhelpful noise, plus giving you thoughts to think on purpose when others' opinions start creeping in. What We Cover: 1️⃣ How opinions (solicited or not) can derail you • Why people love to share their thoughts, even when they're not helpful • How projection plays a role in negative feedback 2️⃣ Feedback vs. Noise: What's Worth Listening To? • Signs of constructive feedback that helps you grow • How to filter out unhelpful opinions and stay focused 3️⃣ The Power of Your Own Thoughts • Why your self-perception is the only thing that matters • How to decide ahead of time what to think about yourself 4️⃣ Thoughts to Think on Purpose: I am someone who does not abandon myself for the approval of someone else. My opinion of myself matters more than anyone else's opinion of me. (If my opinion of myself is negative, that's what I need to work on changing.) I can decide ahead of time what to think about myself no matter what outcome happens for this goal I am pursuing. They are allowed to be wrong about me. This feeling is just a set of sensations in my body and I can handle it. My worth is not the stock market. It can't go up and down just based on thoughts in other people's brains. (Credit: Kara Loewentheil) What I think about me is more important than what others think about me. Key Takeaways: ✅ You don't owe anyone an explanation for your goals. ✅ Constructive feedback offers solutions; unhelpful opinions do not. ✅ People's opinions of you say more about them than they do about you. Actionable Insight: Next time you receive an opinion that makes you doubt yourself, pause. Ask: Does this help me move forward? If not, let it go and refocus on your goal. What if I told you that the biggest successes in life don't come from massive leaps, but from small, consistent steps? That's the message I took away from a powerful International Women's Day event, and it's what I'm sharing with you in this episode. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed by big goals or stuck in the start-stop cycle, this episode will remind you that every small action matters. What We Cover: 1️⃣ Why small steps matter more than big moves •“Small hinges open big doors.” •The secret behind people who follow through on big dreams. 2️⃣ Lessons from a woman who ran 150 marathons •She didn't focus on the full journey—just the next stop. •How breaking your goal into tiny, manageable steps makes all the difference. 3️⃣ How to take your next best step TODAY •You don't need to change everything overnight. •One small thing today can lead to a completely different life tomorrow. Key Takeaways: ✅ You don't have to be 10 steps ahead—just one step ahead of self-doubt. ✅ The life you want is built on small, repeated actions—not one massive move. ✅ Don't get lost in the big picture—focus on the next step in front of you. Actionable Insight: What's one small action you can take today that moves you closer to your dream? Maybe it's a 10-minute walk, making a healthy meal, or tackling that one thing you've been putting off. Start small, and watch how things change. Have you ever started something new, whether a goal, a career shift, or personal growth, only to be met with subtle (or not-so-subtle) comments from people around you? Doubt, guilt, and comparison can creep in, making you second-guess yourself. This episode is here to remind you: you don't need permission to go after what you want. Today, we're talking about the comments that stop you in your tracks and how to move forward anyway. I'll walk you through five common types of comments people make (often unintentionally) that plant seeds of doubt and keep you stuck. What We Cover: 1. The Subtle Dream-Killer Comments: - “Are you sure that's a good idea?” - “That sounds like a lot of work… Do you really have time for that?” - “Most people don't actually follow through with that kind of thing.” - “I mean, if it was that easy, wouldn't everyone be doing it?” - “I just don't want to see you get disappointed.” - “You're always starting something new… what makes this different?” These comments aren't outright mean, but they cast doubt. They make you pause, hesitate, and second-guess yourself. 2. The “I Know You Better Than You Know Yourself” Comments: - “That's just not really you though, is it?” - “You've never been good at sticking with things.” - “I mean, you always get excited about new things, but let's be real…” - “I just don't think this is your thing.” - “You're not really the type of person who does that.” And suddenly, you start wondering… are they right? Do they see something in me that I don't? 3. The “I'm Just Being Realistic” Comments: - “Not trying to be negative, but…” - “You need to be realistic. Life doesn't work like that.” - “You should probably focus on something safer.” - “You don't want to embarrass yourself, do you?” - “Most people who try that fail.” - “I just don't want to see you waste your time.” These sound like “helpful” advice, but really, they're just dressed-up fear. Often, it's their own limiting beliefs they're trying to project onto you. 4. The Subtle Comparison Comments: - “Oh, my friend tried that and it didn't work for her.” - “I know someone who did that, but they had way more experience.” - “That's great, but don't expect too much.” - “It's just really competitive—you'd have to be really good.” Comparison plants the seed that maybe you're not “good enough” or “experienced enough.” But what they don't realise? You don't need permission from someone else's experience to go for what you want! 5. The Guilt-Tripping Comments: - “You've been spending a lot of time on that… don't forget about us.” - “You're so busy these days—remember when you used to have time for [insert guilt here]?” - “Must be nice to be able to do that, some of us don't have the luxury.” - “I wish I had time to do things like that.” - “You're lucky you get to focus on yourself.” This one hits hard because it taps into your guilt. And before you know it, you're putting yourself last again to make sure everyone else is happy. Key Takeaways: - People's comments come from their own fears, not your reality. - You get to decide how you react and whether you stop or keep going. - The more you grow, the more comments you'll receive—so be prepared! Actionable Insight: Write down one or two comments that have made you doubt yourself in the past. How did they impact your actions? How would you like to respond differently next time?
