This is my journal 16th, in this journal I have read a children book and watched cartoon movie. The title of the children book that I have read is “The Envious Neighbor”. This story tells about, There is an old husband and wife named Richard and Marie, they both do not have a child, so they raise a dog named Romeo. One day when Romeo was walking, suddenly Romeo dug the ground in the yard and found a treasure of gold coins. Then, Richard's neighbor named Ruso gets jealous and Ruso intends to kidnap Romeo to find more treasure in Ruso's yard. Suddenly when Ruso wanted to take Romeo for a walk, Romeo spoke to Ruso. Ruso was surprised and thinks Romeo is a magic dog. After that incident, Ruso immediately told Shiro the village head, that the old couple Richard and Marie were witches because their pet dog could talk. But Shiro didn't believe that because dog could talk was impossible. Finally, Ruso was told to leave the village by the village head because he was caught stealing a dog and lying. From the children book I got some new vocabularies such as, spoilt (dimanja), struck (dihantam), and begged (memohon). Then I also have watched a cartoon movie in title “Burn Out”. The cartoon movie tells about there is a space machine that crash and land in the desert. Then when the driver was getting desperate, she suddenly met a little girl and followed the little girl into the cave. In the cave she finds Kristen's battery and she takes it to be installed in her space machine. It turned out that the battery was working and the space engine was able to come back to work. Finally she can return to her home planet with the little girl she met earlier. Then on the cartoon movie, I also got some new vocabularies such as, filthiest (paling kotor), spacesuit (pakaian luar angkasa), and antennas (antena-antena). My experience after practicing the new vocabularies in my daily life, I’m very excited and feel happy because I can learn how to pronounce correctly, and it makes my vocabularies more varied when I speaking. After I practice the vocabularies that I found, I can know better what the story telling about. Thank you for listening, see you!

This is my 15th journal, in this 15th journal I have listened two songs, the title of the first song is "Who Says" by Selena Gomez. Now I will show you the snippet of the first song, Who says, who says you're not perfect? Who says you're not worth it? Who says you're the only one that's hurting? Trust me, that's the price of beauty Who says you're not pretty? Who says you're not beautiful? Who says? This song tells about someone who is always confident and wants to be herself even though many people look down on her. She believed that she could do everything without turning herself into someone else. From the first song I got some new vocabularies there are, rough (kasar), beneath(di bawah), and hurting (menyakiti). Then the title of the second song is "Love Me Like You Do" by Ellie Goulding. Now I will show you the snippet of the first song,  Yeah, I'll let you set the pace 'Cause I'm not thinking straight My head's spinning around i can't see clear no more What are you waiting for? This song tells about a woman who wants to be loved by the man of her dreams with all his heart, because she really believes with the man and ask the man to do whatever is best for the woman. From the second song I got some new vocabularies too, there are fading out(memudar), holy (suci), and pace (langkah). My experience after practicing all the new vocabularies that I found on the two songs in my daily life, I feel very challenged because the vocabularies are unfamiliar for me. I feel happy because my vocabulary is increasing. While practicing these vocabularies, I also learned how to pronounce them correctly so that when I speak to other people, I look more fluent. The title of the first news is “LA’s Staples Center to be Renamed After Cryptocurrency Firm”, this news tells about One of the largest sports and entertainment venues named Staples Center in Los Angeles, United States, will change its name to Crypto.com Arena, a Cryptocurrency company from Singapore. This venue has a capacity of 20,000 seats. The name change will be effective starting in December, precisely on Christmas Day. On the first news I got some new vocabularies, there are chasm (jurang), undisclosed (dirahasiakan), involved (terlibat). Then, the title on the second news is “London to Light Up with Aurora Borealis and Glowing Roses” this news tells about There are two international artists named Borealis and Acher from Switzerland, they will project the work of “winter lights” throughout the capital city. On Christmas Eve, the London skies will shine with light from the project of these two international artists. And the tower of London will have an animal-themed light. On the second news I also got some new vocabularies, there are heritage (warisan), enthrals (memikat), and reinvigorate (menghidupkan kembali). My experience after practicing the vocabularies that I found on the two news in my daily life, I feel very excited and happy, because the vocabularies that I found on the news are rarely find in conversation in everyday life. With these new vocabularies, I practice how to correct spelling and pronunciation so that I can speak better and fluently, and also these vocabularies can enrich my vocabulary list. This is my 13th journal, what I’m doing in this 13th journal are reading children book and watching cartoon movie. I have read a children book with the title "The Hungry Mouse". In the children book tell about, a mouse that was hungry and very thin, when he was looking for food, after a long time the mouse finally found a basket filled with corn, then the mouse went into the basket and ate the corn until he felt full. After finishing eating, the mouse wanted to get out of the basket but couldn't because he was too fat from eating too much. From the children book I have read, I got some new vocabularies there are, squeezed (diperas), rat (tikus besar), greedy (rakus). And I also have watched cartoon movie with the title “Rest in Peace”. in the cartoon movie tell about there is a city, where in the city there is a big hole and has taken the life of an old man. Then the brother of the old man asked the governor to repair the hole so as not to take another victim. but instead the governor hold event a party to remember the old man and refused to repair the hole. From the cartoon movie I got some new vocabularies too, there are, honored (terhormat), horrid (mengerikan), demise (kematian). My experience after practicing the new vocabularies in my daily life, I feel very happy, and learning by reading and watching cartoons is very fun and not boring. I also got some new vocabulary that I can learn and apply in conversation in everyday life, so that my vocabulary becomes more extensive and makes me more varied when I speaking, then learning in this way can trains my reading and listening skills in English. Azzahra : Yes sure. What do you want to ask about? Novi : I wanna ask you about covid-19 vaccine Azzahra : Oh okay Novi : By the way, have you been vaccinated? Azzahra : Yes I've been vaccinated 2 times Novi : What! Really? What effects do you feel after getting the vaccine? I’m very afraid to vaccinate because there are so many news that vaccine can make a person paralyzed Azzahra : No, it is a hoax news. I personally after being vaccinated, only feel sleepy, there are no other effect beside that. Novi : Is that true? Azzahra : Yes, of course. You must be courageous and have to get vaccinated immediately, so you can contribute to reducing the spread of COVID-19 in Indonesia Novi : Oh okay. The conversation is tell about what side effects  after vaccination, then Zahra told me that the vaccine was safe, she only felt sleepy and there were no other side effects besides that, so I became brave to vaccinate. From the conversation I got some new vocabularies, there are courageous mean berani, immediately mean segera, edgy mean grogi/tegang. My experience after make a conversation with my friend, I feel happy and wanna do the conversation with my friends more and more, because its really fun and make me confident to speak in English. With the conversation I know more new vocabularies from my friends, so its very effective way to learn English. And my experience after practicing new vocabularies in my daily life, I feel happy and challenging. It can also add my new vocabulary list, so it make my sentences when I do conversation with people more varied. On this journal week 10th, I have watched two news, the title of the first news is “Japan Train Driver Sues Over 49 Cents in Shocked Wages”, on the first news explain about a Japanese train driver sued his company after the company lowered his salary by 56 yen for causing brief delays to the country's notoriously punctual train system. On the first news I found some new vocabularies, rushed mean terburu-buru, disruption mean gangguan, reliability mean keandalan. And the title on the second news is “Haiti water shortage: 'We pray for rain every day’”, on the second news explain about Haiti fuel shortage caused by gangs blocking access roads to fuel distribution terminals. Residents said that they could not get drinking water because the water pump stopped working due to unavailability of fuel. The delivery of bottled drinking water has also been disrupted, so many residents have to depend on rainwater to fulfill their daily needs. On the second news I also found some new vocabularies such as extorted mean diperas, escalated mean meningkat, wreath mean karangan bunga. My experience after practicing those vocabularies in my daily life, I really feel happy because the vocabularies on the international news is very rarely found in conversation in everyday life. It is can add my new vocabulary list and it increase my knowledge of the variations of sentences that I have made from the new vocabularies that I have found on the news, and it can also makes me more varied in using vocabulary when I speaking english. In this week is my 11th journal and I have listened to 2 music, the title of the first song is “You Are the Reason” by Calum Scott, and this is the snippet of the “You Are the Reason” song, I'd climb every mountain And swim every ocean Just to be with you And fix what I've broken Oh, 'cause I need you to see That you are the reason This song tells about someone who wants to get back with his lover, even though he has to go through various obstacles. But he tried to be able to fix all the mistakes made before. In this song, it is explained that the songwriter is fully aware of the importance of his lover's presence in his life. After I listened to "You Are the Reason" song, I got new vocabularies that I have never know before. On "You Are the Reason" song I got beat mean mengalahkan, shaking mean gemetar, and bleeding mean berdarah. And the title of the second song is “Bad liar” by Imagine Dragons, and this is the snippet of “Bad Liar” song, Make your heart believe But I’m a bad liar, bad liar Now you know, now you know I’m a bad liar, bad liar Now you know, you’re free to go This song tells about a man who belatedly admits all his mistakes, making the man feel that he is a bad liar. He hopes that all his confessions and honestly can be accepted and trusted by his lover. This song teaches us to admit all our mistakes and try to be honest. We can't wear a mask and pretend to be the most perfect person. After I listened to "Bad Liar" song, I got new vocabularies that I have never know before, such as fears mean ketakutan, faith mean iman, and tears mean air mata. My experience after practicing those vocabularies in my daily life it is so much fun and I feel very happy. Learning english with music is not boring because listening to music is entertain and make me feel relax. Learning english in this way is very effective, because with a variety of existing song lyrics, I got many new vocabularies that will increase my vocabulary knowledge and can add my new vocabulary list. From the conversation I got some new vocabularies, there are pruning mean memangkas, bushy mean rimbun, jest mean bercanda, and auspiciousmean beruntung. My experience after practicing those new vocabularies in my daily life, it really help me to enrich my vocabulary list and having conversations with other people. I also can find out the synonyms of the new vocabs that I got in the conversation. Example, jest word similar with joke word. I have read a children book with the title “Jack and the Beanstalk” In the children book tell about a long time ago there lived a poor widow and her son named Jack. One day, Jack's mother told him to sell their only cow. Jack went to the market and on the way he met a man who wanted to buy his cow. Then the man bought a jack cow but only paid for five magic beans. Jack's mother was very angry and the beans were thrown by Jack's mother out the window. The next day, when Jack woke up in the morning and looked out the window, he saw a large bean tree had grown. He climbed the bean tree and reached the kingdom in the sky. The kingdom is inhabited by a giant. In the kingdom, Jack stole the treasures of the giants and brought the treasures to his home. Jack's mother was very happy. So that the giant does not know that Jack has stolen, Jack immediately cut down the bean tree, so that Jack and his mother are now very rich and they live happily. From the children book I have read, I got some new vocabularies there are, crept mean merayap, fearsome mean menakutkan, chop mean memotong, and silly mean konyol. And I also have watched cartoon movie with the title “If Anything Happens I Love You”. The cartoon movie tell about a husband and wife who are grieving the loss of their daughter. Both of them looked very sad. The last time they saw each other was in the morning when dropping her off at school. But unfortunately, a sad incident happened at her school. That is a brutal shooting. And from the cartoon movie I got some new vocabularies too, there are embrace mean merangkul, embodies mean mewujudkan, desolation mean kesedihan. My experience after practicing the new vocabularies in my daily life, I feel happy when I find new vocabulary.  its makes me know more about vocabularies that I have never knew before, and also can enrich my vocabulary, so it can make me more varied when I speaking. And the title of the second song is “Unstoppable” by Sia, and this is the snippet of unstoppable song, I'll put my armor on, show you how strong I am I'll put my armor on, I'll show you that I am I'm unstoppable, I'm a Porsche with no brakes I'm invincible, yeah, I win every single game I'm so powerful, I don't need batteries to play I'm so confident, I'm unstoppable today This song explain about the struggle of someone who wants to show her strength that cannot be stopped by anything, and always wins in everything because she is very strong and nothing can stop her struggle. I also got some new vocabularies on the unstoppable song such as shed mean meneteskan, armor mean pakaian baja, brakes mean rem, invincible mean tidak terkalahkan. My experience after practicing those vocabualries in my daily life it is so much fun, because listening to music is entertaind that will make us relax, learning with music is make me calm, and not boring because there are so many genres of songs we can choose which songs we want listen to. Learning like this is very effective, because it's like not studying but just like listening to music. On the first news explain about a western power distribution technician working on a project finds the unexpected, namely a stone tunnel that has never been found before. It is estimated that the tunnel was built in the 14th century. Inside the tunnel there are cobwebs and puddles of water. And the title on the second news is “Mini tornado rips through Humberston and Thorngumbald” on the second news tell about freak winds have damaged houses and overtuned vehicles on the east coast. Residents in Humberstone, near Cleethorpes, and in Thorngumbald, near Hull, said they were hit by the unusual weather event on Monday morning. Chimney pots had been ripped off, a garage roof blown away and caravan overturned. I found some new vocabularies that I never hear before in my daily life. On the first news I found abbey mean biara, monks mean biarawan, yielded mean menghasilkan, subterranean mean di bawah tanah. And on the second news I found coast mean pesisir, estuary mean muara, confined mean terbatas. My experience after practicing those vocabularies in my daily life, I really excited and feel happy because the vocabularies on the news is rarely used in everyday conversation. It is can add my new vocabularies list and it increase my knowledge of the various variations of sentences that I have made from the vocabularies.

I am Novi Rahmawati and in this week is my journal week 5, in this journal I have had a conversation with my partner in english. I did conversation with Azzahra Nur Azizah and the topic of the conversation is tell about a dream place. But now let me to show you the call recording with zahra. So in that conversation is talked abaout my dream place is Switzerland country. I think Switzerland is the most beautiful country. Switzerland located in among of some big country such as Germany, France, and Italy. I really love Switzerland because the nature view there like heaven in the world. In summer many hills are covered with grass and flowers, and in the winter country is covered with snow, the view is so amazing and make me speechles when I watch the video about Switzerland on social media platform. I hope someday I can visit Switzerland and stay there for maybe one or two month to explore the beautiful nature in Switzerland. From conversation with Zahra I got some new vocabularies such as dally mean menghabiskan waktu, concur mean setuju, meadow mean padang rumput, and admirable mean mengagumkan. From those vocabularies, I made it to sentences there are, the young man dally his free time on the beach, all citizens concur with the president’s decision, the meadow is full of insect and little buterflies, the view from the top of building is really admirable. My experience after make a conversation with my friend, its like a real conversation in everyday life. I feel happy and wannna do the conversation with my friends more and more beacuse it really improve my speaking in english. I am Novi Rahmawati In this week is my fourth journal, what I’m doing in this fourth journal is reading children book and watching cartoon movie. I have read a children book with the title “The Three Little Pig” In the children book explain about three litle pigs left their mother house, and want to build their own house. The first pig want to build his house with straw, the second pig want to build with sticks, and the third pig want to build with bricks. Suddenly a wolf come to their house and want to eat them. But the pigs didn’t want, and the wolf broke the pig’s house made from straw and stick. And the pigs hide in the house made of brick because the wolf couldn’t break the brick house. But the wolf tried to get up on the roof to get in, but instead he fell down and got into the bowl of hot water, and he was in pain. Finally he left the pigs and never come again. From the children book I have read, I got some new vocabularies there are, Fortunes (keberuntungan), gobbled (melahap), chimney (cerobong asap), and leaped(melompat). Then I made some sentences from new vocabularies that I got, such as (the cat statue brought a fortunes to our shop), (the hipopotamus gobbled its food with a wide mouth), (the old house had chimney to warm the room when the weather was cold), (the robber leaped the fence wall because caught stealing in my house). and I also have watched children movie with the title “Purl” the cartoon movie explain about a bunch of thread that worked in a big company and brought the company success because of his brilliant ideas. from the cartoon movie I got some new vocabularies too, there are pricks(menusuk), swifty (cepat), fright (ketakutan), and failure (kegagalan). Then I made some sentences from all new vocabularies that I got, such as (the man accidentally pricks his wife to death), (the car is going very swifty), (I was so fright in that old hospital), (the business man has failure in developing his business). My experience after practicing the new vocabularies and sentences that I have made, it make me more varied when using english language. I also know more the story is telling about, better before I find out what those vocabularies means. It increase my knowledge and skill in english. And I feel happy when learning english while watching cartoon movie or reading a children book, because it make me entertaint, also more effective to learn, because the dialogs or sentences in the cartoon movie or children book is easier to understand.

However, on the other hand, past memories of their relationship still haunt. And that woman doesn't want her ex to be happier. And the second title of song I listen is ‘Speechless’ by Naomi Scott. Here I will explain about the news that I have watched. The title of the news is Seafood trade in Indonesia takes a hit amid covid -19 lockdown, quarintine. in this news explain about many fishermen have lost their livelihoods due to the increasing number of Covid-19 cases in Indonesia. Fishermen who want to go to sea must be free from all diseases, especially the Covid-19 virus, if they are sick they are not allowed to go to sea and must to do quarantine. So that shipping activities were stopped and the catched of fish was decreased. And also the export of fish catch from Indonesia had been rejected by the Chinese because the catch fish was contaminated with the covid-19 virus. This causes the Indonesian economy has decrease.
