Join Ethan as he breaks down the Denver Nuggets Utah Jazz game tonight. The Denver Nuggets won the game 111-95. The Nuggets were led by Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray tonight. Christian Braun stepped up big tonight without Aaron Gordon, who has been out with a foot injury. Braun has stepped up seamlessly into the starting line-up, which is huge as the playoffs are right around the corner. Jamal Murray looked dominant and back to his usual self as he has been returning from his injury that kept him out for a series of games. Another player that looked great tonight in addition to Jokic and Murray was Peyton Watson. Watson provided great rebounding tonight without Aaron Gordon, as well as providingg some nice size and athleticism off the bench. Join Ethan as he breaks down the Denver Nuggets win tonight against the San Antonio Spurs. The win tonight was quite difficult, which was pretty surprising considering the opponent. The Nuggets really had to rely upon Nikola Jokic to get the win tonight. Jokic had 42 points and played absolutely incredible. He is well on his way to winning his 3rd MVP unless MVP voters want to just allow someone else to win who is not deserving of the award. The Denver Nuggets however have bigger things on the their mind than Jokic winning MVP. They have a massive game on Thursday in LA against the Clippers. Hopefully Jamal Murray is back on Thursday as he has missed six consecutive games now. The Nuggets are most likely going to need him in order to beat the Clippers in LA. Something to pay attention to as the game nears is Kawhi Leanard. Kawhi did not play against the Kings on Tuesday night with knee soreness and as the playoffs are around the corner I know the Clippers need Kawhi playing at a high level which means he has to be healthy. The Nuggets are back in 1st place in the Western Conference with the Thunder losing to the 76ers on Tuesday night. The Thunder play again on Wednesday night against the Boston Celtics on the road which will be a tremendous game. Join Ethan as he breaks down the Denver Nuggets dominant win today against the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Nuggets were led by Nikola Jokic which was incredibly predictable. Denver was without Jamal Murray tonight as he continues to nurse a knee, and ankle injury. Hopefully he returns before the end of the season to get a game or two so he can tune up for the playoffs. If not Nuggets fans should feel confident Jamal Murray will perform at a high level once the playoffs start. Nikola Jokic had a spectular triple-double and dominated the stats sheet. The Nuggets had multiple players in today's game player a tremendously high level from KCP to Christian Braun. This was an incredibly impressive Nuggets victory today without Jamal Murray to snap their two game skid and beat a really good Cavs team by 29 points. The Nuggets conclude their five-game home-stand on Tuesday against the Spurs, aiming to finish the home-stand with a positive record of 3-2. The first half for the Denver Nuggets was really good tonight. They scored 35 points in each the 1st and the 2nd quarter scoring 70 total points at the half. Their defense was solid in the first half they allowed 55 points. Following that the game did a complete 180 and Minnesota really dominated the 3rd quarter. They outscored Denver in the 3rd 29-17. They lost 107-105. The Nuggets did not deserve to win the game today. They got out and rebounded 59-37. They allowed Dallas to have 21 offensive rebounds. One of Ethan's keys for today's game was to limit Dallas's three-point shooting, which they did, but following that key, Ethan had another crucial key in order to win the game, which was not to allow offensive rebounds off missed three-point shots, and Dallas killed Denver in that category. It does not matter who is on the floor for the Denver Nuggets. You cannot allow 21 offensive rebounds. That is horrible basketball. The Denver Nuggets did not play their style of basketball today. They should have attacked the paint the way they should have today, making it too easy for the Dallas Mavericks to guard Jokic and Aaron Gordon. He did that without even playing in the 4th quarter, which is tremendous. The bench unit played really well in today's game. From their lackluster play in the 2nd quarter to their phenomenal play in the 4th quarter, increasing the lead to 20 points and allowing four of the Nuggets starters to sit for the entirety of the 4th quarter. The only starter who played in the 4th quarter was Jamal Murray. Christian Braun probably had the best game of his season tonight. He had four steals and was really dominant in the transition game as well. His half-court offense was much better tonight, too, as he shot the ball really well. They also start their four-game road trip off really strong with a dominant win. Michael Porter Jr. was hitting timely shot after timely shot tonight. This was a bit of a sluggish game for the Nuggets. The 1st and 4th quarter were their best offensive quarters. The 4th quarter was by far the Nuggets best quarter tonight. They scored 28 points and allowed 17 points. That is total domination in the 4th quarter for the Nuggets regarding their offense and defense. Reggie Jackson stepped up for the Denver Nuggets in the 4th quarter making three shots in a run to increase the Nuggets lead to 10 points. The 4th quarter was a team effort. Christian Braun, Peyton Watson, and Reggie Jackson all made a huge difference in the 4th quarter. Something to note in the 4th quarter was Aaron Gordon started the 4th quarter at the center position. Zeke Najai, post All-Star break, has been playing the backup center minutes when Jokic sits, so it was quite noteworthy to see AG at the 5. Join Ethan as he breaks down the Denver Nuggets 125-119 victory over the Toronto Raptors. This was a very sluggish game for the Denver Nuggets, especially in the first half. The Nuggets were outscored 68-51 in the first half. They were horrible in the first half, and they allowed Toronto to shoot 9-19 from three in the first half. That is just below 50%, and allowing a bad three-point shooting team like Toronto to shoot just under 50% from three is really bad basketball. Fortunately, there was another half of basketball for the Denver Nuggets to play. They turned around their play in the 2nd half, especially from the 6-minute mark in the 3rd quarter onwards. From that point forward, Denver really dominated, and the game was dictated on their terms the rest of the way. Nikola Jokic led the way for the Denver Nuggets with 19 third-quarter points. Jamal Murray also had 21 2nd half points after having just five first-half points. The Denver Nuggets won this game in the 2nd half with their defense. They allowed 51 points in the 2nd half, assisting the team in getting the win tonight. If the Nuggets play the way they did against the Boston Celtics and Utah Jazz, and in the 4th quarter of tonight's game against Miami, they will win. They are off to a tremendous start following the All-Star break with an NBA-best 9-1 record. This was an incredibly complete game for the Denver Nuggets. One thing that stood out was Denver's free throw shooting tonight. They were 21-22 from the line tonight. In addition to that the Nuggets got everyone involved on the offensive end. Unlike the Boston Celtics who were led by Jaylen Brown who had 41 points he did not get his teammates involved. That really mattered to close the 4th quarter because the other guys in the Celtics starting line-up did not have any rhythm and consistency. Overall, this game was very playoff-esque and had a potential finals match-up written all over it. Jamal Murray fortunately returned for the Denver Nuggets. For those who do not know, Jamal missed the entire second half against the Miami Heat with a sprained ankle. Ethan for one was quite nervous about Jamal's ankle and thankfully it was pretty minor as he returned 48 hours to play the Lakers. Jamal Murray and the speculator shooting night from Michael Porter Jr were fantastic tonight. He was dishing the ball incredibly well tonight and making such great plays in the half-court offense for the Denver Nuggets. Finally, the Denver Nuggets best player tonight was your two time MVP and reigning Finals MVP Nikola Jokic. Jokic had 35 points, 10 rebounds, and 7 assists. He was fantastic for the Nuggets. Nikola had 13 points in the 3rd quarter, which was absolutely tremendous. Then in the 4th quarter Jokic was making the correct play down the stretch every single time. Not only that, but they also have swept the Golden State Warriors in the season series 4-0, which is incredibly hard to do in today's NBA. This game was the start of a very tough six-game stretch. So starting off the six games with a win is tremendous, especially to do it on the road. In the remaining five tough games that they have, four of the five are at home, so the Denver Nuggets are in a great spot. He had 18 points on 4-4 shooting from three. He was imposing stepping up for Jamal Murray tonight when Reggie Jackson, who started for Jamal Murray, sat on the bench. This was a very complete win for the Denver Nuggets. They look very locked in their two games following the all-star break.
