Over Achieving

Attention all high achievers, overachievers, hustlers and workaholics - or anyone who feels like they want to have it all! Passion, Possibility and Potential are the drugs of choice for achievers, we just can't get enough, life in this fast lane is exhilarating! We like to continually challenge ourselves and push the boundaries of what can be accomplished – after all, we are so motivated and capable - getting sh*t done is part of who we are! In a world full of inspiration, choice and opportunity where could we possibly go wrong?! The promised high of kicking goals can become addictive and the goal posts continue to move, along with the feeling of contentment – close enough to see, but just out of reach. Our all-consuming need to achieve teases us with “success" which is inextricably tied to happiness right!? Krystle Linton knows this story… Her addiction to achievement was serving her well in many ways but what was all this overwhelm and discontent about and why wouldn’t it just eff off so she could keep kicking goals? This podcast is where she explores how to navigate life in the midst of high ambition, in a society that values external success over inner contentment. How to walk that fine line between fully leaning into your passion and setting big goals while avoiding the depths of insatiable hustle and burnout. The biggest question Krystle wants to answer: Is there a trade-off between ambition, success and wellbeing or it is possible to have it all? I can’t promise any answers but I can promise my commitment to the cause - a life where we get to feel better within ourselves.

Intentions Behind "Helping People", Reciprocity and other 2020 updates

It's been a while! I intentionally took a few weeks off because I needed some time to work on myself without the pressure of creating weekly content. In this episode I'll be explaining my reasons and the shift that will occur within 'Over Achieving'. I'm a whole new vibe  Last year was the birth of this podcast and even though my intention was to give you the best information I could, I continued to filter myself and not show up as I was. I was trying to be valuable to you, which was indeed the thing that was stopping me from being valuable. I've begun to see the value in myself which means a big shift in what I am inspired to do. I am far from finished, but thought I would keep you guys updated ;) Want to connect? I'm always happy to hear from you. You can catch me on Instagram or Facebook. Common Thread Convos - Steph Taylor on Opportunity Overwhelm, Impatience and Being Ready for Success

Welcome to the first episode of Common Thread Convos where we chat with women who are kicking butt in their field about the "not so shiny" elements of being ambitious and going after thier dreams.   Fears, internal struggles, mistakes and lessons learned - these episodes will be packed with raw conversations that I hope will inspire you through connectedness. None of us are immune to self doubt or failure, yet it's far too easy these days to fall into the trap of comparison and overwhelm when we are convinced of the contrary, being constantly exposed to the ever-refreshing highlight reel of others who are succeeding.  Behind every successful "personal brand", business, author, sportsperson or leader is a REAL HUMAN BEING who shares the same set of emotions as you and me and its my mission to bring you episodes that confirm that you are not alone, we are not in competition and that you are exactly where you need to be. Today we chat with Steph Taylor who is a marketing expert helping small business owners launch and re-launch their start ups. She also has her own podcast, Socialette with tons of valuable tips for your business. We cover topic like: Opportunity Overwhelm The notion of overnight success fuelled by impatience Trusting your intuition when making a business decision  Imposter syndrome Self-care when running a business If you've loved this episode - share a screenshot on Insta and let us know your biggest takeaway or thing that most resonated! More about Steph Taylor: head on over to her website, follow along on Instagram / Facebook or grab some marketing tips on the Socialette podcast.    Want to connect? Effort & Ease - Force & Flow - Are You Embracing Life As You Go?

We have a relationship or this polarity between effort and ease and how we see ourselves in that relationship in various aspects of our life. You can probably relate to the fact that we as overachievers tend to try and force control, push things uphill, try and effort our way through life. And I have come to believe that life doesn't have to be as hard as we make it. And as overachievers, we make life harder than what it needs to be in many cases. In my humble opinion, it was definitely that in my life and that's the message that I want to be spreading here on the podcast. So this episode we’re covering some hard-hitting topics: Balancing work tasks How much are you fueling your business versus forcing it? Your effort to ease ratio Motherhood Nurturing our bodies with both physical exercise and nutrition Cultivating the acceptance of life as it is Letting go of both positive and negative Personal development and personal growth   I would love, love, love it if you could support this channel and leave an honest review. Overcoming Negative Thoughts and Self Criticism - Working with your Innate Survival Mechanisms

It’s part of an innate, built-in system where our brains try to keep us safe, away from harm, physical and emotional pain, danger or death and that is why we are here today.  If we didn’t have that innate system to avoid pain, danger or death, then we’d be dead. Humans would not have climbed to the top of the food chain and conquered the world as we have done today.  So we need to accept that part of ourselves, accept it and then move to improve it.  Today we’re chatting about the negativity bias. This is the system that highlights the negative spaces and filters out all the of positive things.    You can now follow along over on Instagram @krystlelinton_
