This is a special episode about National Day of Prayer. I share a bit of my heart about this year's theme "Pour out to the God of Hope and be filled". I talk about where my heart and focus has been over the past month and encourage you to trust the God of Hope...because He is good and He is faithful, always. Grab a cup of coffee or your favorite drink and join me as I pour it out!
Last week Lynn shared a bit of her story, and we left off at Feb. 2024 when she lost her husband, Pastor JC. Today we pick up that conversation and she shares what life has been like over the past year. This conversation is honest and real and vulnerable, and I SO pray it encourages you. Grab a cup of coffee or your favorite drink and join us as we pour it out.
Today's podcast is with Lynn Collins, I didn't plan it this way, but as we were talking before we hit record, I felt like it needed to be a two-parter. SO. Today, she shares a bit of her story....the nutshell version of her life growing up until February 2024. Next week, she will pick up there and talk about what life has been like this past year...navigating the loss of her amazing husband, Pastor JC. It's going to be so good. But for now, hear the backstory. Hear Lynn's heart. It's so beautiful...SHE is so beautiful. Grab a cup of coffee or your favorite drink and join us as we pour it out!
Well as promised, "chat with a pastor" is back and today we have one of my favorites, Pastor Shaun Howard. Shaun and his wife Annie are good friends of ours, and anytime we get the opportunity to sit and talk, it's such a gift. Today we talk about how to lead in a culture with such political division and pastors having moral failures; as well as a really good conversation about friendship. This is my first episode I recorded with someone else since starting back this year, and it was SO nice to ease back in with someone like Shaun. I pray you are encouraged, pointed closer to Jesus through our conversation. I wasn't planning to do a podcast this week. I had one ready to post. But the Lord started stirring something in me, and it continued until I gave in, sat down, and hit record. I said all I needed to say in one take, without stopping. This is as real as it gets, and I pray it encourages you. I share a little more about this past year, how I found myself in a place I didn't think I would, and how the Lord has been bringing me out, healing me, and walking me into a new season with His love and grace. He is faithful friends, always. I pray this one encourages you and reminds you how much He loves you. Grab a cup of coffee or your favorite drink and join me as I pour it out!
After a long hiatus due to weather and sickness, I'm BACK! It's amazing how much the Lord can do in your heart when you're quiet and still for a bit. I'm refreshed, and have restored hope and GREAT expectancy for this year on the podcast. Today I share a little bit of a life update, and how the Lord has re-ignited the passion in my heart to share stories. Grab a cup of coffee or your favorite drink and join me as I pour it out!
Today's podcast episode wraps up our conversations about National Adoption Month. I had the opportunity to sit and talk with Marilu Graves, and let me just say...I was SO very blessed by her! It was actually the first time I got to meet her, and right away, I was encouraged by her excitement for the Lord and the joy she radiates. Listen to her story of how the Lord brought her TWO beautiful daughters through adoption, and how faithful He was every single step of the way. This one is good, ya'll. You'll be encouraged, inspired, and I promise you will smile a lot!

Today on the podcast, we continue celebrating National Adoption Month by hearing from Kim Bailey. Kim shares her story of how she adopted her daughter Ashlee, and it is beautiful. But...that's not all. When Ashlee turned 18, she wanted to look into meeting some of her biological family. You'll have to listen to hear a story that afterwards you're left saying, "that was only God."
This one blessed me so much, and I have thought about it so many times. It's such a reminder that we have a good Father who loves us so extravagantly. Grab a cup of coffee or your favorite drink and join us as we pour it out!
It's November...which means it's National Adoption Month! Adoption is a huge part of my story, so I try to take this month each year and highlight some stories of adoption. To kick it off, today on the podcast is Lynette Brown. Earlier this year I sat down with her daughter, Brooklyn Brown, and she shared her adoption story. Today, you get to hear the story from Lynette's perspective. It's such a beautiful story, and what spoke to me the most is how quick to walk in obedience Lynette and her husband Mike were. It amazes me how they didn't hesitate to do what the Lord said to do, and as a result, the Lord has ABUNDANTLY blessed their family.

Today on the podcast, we have my girl Kim Upshaw. Oh gosh...she is SUCH a gift. She is one of the most encouraging people I know, and her heart shines through in all she says and does. She has many giftings, but the one everyone knows her for is her gift of dancing. You guys. If you have not seen her praise dance...you need to find a way to do it, bc it is POWERFUL and SO beautiful! Today she shares how she got started, and how she has grown in her gift. It's such a good conversation and it blessed me SO much. I know it will bless you too. Grab a cup of coffee or your favorite drink and join us as we pour it out!
Today's podcast is with Linda Gillespie, and it is a special one. I have known Linda nearly all my life, but when she asked me to be on the podcast, I had NO idea what I was in for. When I tell you I was blessed beyond words, I mean it. She shares about an accident she had a few years ago, and the way the Lord literally saved her life, her husband's life, and their dog's life. To hear how the Lord prepared them before the accident, how He took care of them after it, and how He provided for their dog who was lost for nine whole days in the desert...it's amazing. You do NOT want to miss it, I promise!
Aside from the story, Linda shares a little about her time as a teacher, and it is SO encouraging and inspirational. I know you will be blessed by this whole conversation. Grab a cup of coffee or your favorite drink and join us as we pour it out!
Today on the podcast is my sweet friend Chelsy Francis. Chelsy shares about following the Lord into the unknown, taking steps of obedience and watching Him provide every step of the way. It is SUCH an encouraging conversation and I know you will be so blessed by it.

Today is my 15 wedding anniversary! As I have been thinking and reflecting, I had some things that I felt like I was supposed to share with you. Let me be clear...this is NOT a marriage podcast. But, it is one that compares marriage and our relationship with the Lord a tiny bit. That's a subject that can go MANY ways and can be expounded upon A LOT, but this is just the tip of the iceberg. I pray that this episode encourages you, challenges you, and pushes you closer to Jesus.

She's baaaack!!! My girl Vicky Burnett is on the podcast today. She was on last year, in episode 27, and you all LOVED her, so I told her she had to come back and share her story. Today she talks about how she grew up, how she came to know the Lord, and how she has grown with Him. This is a conversation all about the goodness and faithfulness of the Lord, and how He redeems us and our story, every single time. It will encourage you, I have no doubts.

This week's conversation is a TREAT! It is with Ric, McConnell. If you are from Chillicothe, chances are you know him, or at least have heard him sing. He is a worship leader here, and also leads the gospel group, United. Ric is ridiculously talented, and he is also VERY funny. He is always making jokes and making people laugh. But today, we get to see a side of him that he doesn't show often. Today he shares his story, and he does it with such vulnerability and transparency. I pray that through it, you will be able to see that the Lord is faithful, He is a miracle worker, and even when our story is filled with questions, He is there with us. This one is really special to me, and I pray it blesses you.

After a little hiatus, I'm back! I couldn't come back after two months without sharing a bit of my heart with you. I'm heading into my THIRD year of this podcast, and in this episode, I share a bit of what this journey has been like so far...which leads me into where I've been the past few months, and how the Lord is faithfully leading me. This is probably the most vulnerable episode I've ever recorded. It's been the hardest to post, but I pray it encourages you, and points you even closer to Jesus.

This is SUCH a special one! I got to sit down and record with Brooklyn Brown, who is 14, and she shared her story of adoption. This is the first time I've gotten to have someone so young on the podcast, and I loved hearing her heart and perspective of God's faithfulness in her life. I pray it blesses you and encourages you. This week on the podcast we have my sweet friend, Crystal. She shares her story, how she grew up in a Christian home, but didn't have a strong relationship with the Lord...and later came to know Jesus for herself, and her journey with Him. That whole journey of getting to know Him deeply prepared her for when her world dramatically changed in July 2021. She shares about that, and how things have been since. Crystal is real and honest and I'm so grateful for how she shares her heart so beautifully. I promise this one will bless you, encourage you, and bring you closer the Jesus.
